Their vehicle dynamics engineer makes some really interesting comments about their controls algorithm and what they can do with torque vectoring and motor control even at 10% of the handling limit.

Because you can do things that mathematically aren't possible with a single power source, you can actually make the car feel FAR more organic and responsive to you as a driver. You need to remember that this company was created specifically because Peter Rawlinson wanted to create a driver's EV, first and foremost. The fact that it has stupid amounts of power, will drift like a motherfucker, and has enough cabin room AND luggage space to haul four professional NBA players are all side effects of that strategy.
The lucid is just insane , 4 DOOR SEDAN keeping up with a car specifically designed for the track. Imagine if lucid made it a bit lighter , better brakes and a suspension as a limited edition, easily the fastest 4 door sedan in the world.

This is literally full stock tires and car, a full sized luxury sedan with full creature comfort and range in mind. People are comparing this with a full on bred track car.. Come on, it's incomparable. The Lucid is a best all around car. The gt3rs is shit in comfort and long distance driving. Keep it on the track where it belongs.
If that scares him, wait until you take people out in a Sapphire. I live in Arizona and my good friend is/was a “long-distance” test driver for Lucid. I drive an EV6 GT as a commuter and the Sapphire literally made me feel sick in both acceleration and cornering Gs on throttle.
Many years ago a cousin introduced me to track driving. We travelled the country to drive good roads and tracks. Last year I took him with me on a blast down a favorite twisty Ozark byway in my Lucid Air GT, a road we had taken many times in other cars and on motorcycles. At the end I looked over at him and he was white, head nodding, and I was afraid he would be sick. This man is utterly fearless. My Lucid makes me a better and faster driver than I am.
Absolutely love this video. The ending truly wraps up the feelings that Azziz felt. He now needs a therapist so that he can live to do it again with no traffic😂🎉😂🎉

The comment at the end really describes powerful EV's when they are driven a certain way. With aggressive throttle and aggressive braking, it can feel like a rollercoaster. Even in regular traffic, I sometimes get a bit nauseous if I'm the passenger and the driver has the regen braking set to the highest setting and they are on/off with the throttle.
Lucid and Tesla need to start offering Cup 2's on these high performance variants. Would be interesting to see what this could have done on sticky tires.

In general, fuel consumption, ~4-5-6 times. Here, the km multiplier is now 10. 200 km range, at 20 km(VLTP hehe). I have the Lucid Touring and just the 3.4 sec is ridiculous. Misha probably need to modulate the regen braking more. I see the dash it kicks to high regen which can get people very nauseated. Sprint does reduce the regen but still simulates like engine braking. 😂

The Sapphire is exactly that. They even redesigned the battery pack to allow for a larger venturi tunnel at the rear of the car.
