Art Fern was the best salesman of all time and the matinée lady was the only woman to make a living out of being dumb and stupid at the same time ... and remember look for the fork on the road.
Were there many local TV stations as actually HAD afternoon film anthologies as were done in this particular vein, right down to the campy fast-talking hosts and obligatory sexpots doing the sales spiels?
Hilarious!!! The Tea Time Movies are my all time favorite skit from Johnny Carson. I love the names of the movies. “Nanny & The Professor get arrested on a goat farm”. Priceless 😂
@@ChadQuick270W - "Carson's Comedy Classics" also didn't have the last two "Tea Time Movies" Ms. Wayne ever did - May 22, 1981 and Jan. 13, 1984. I presume it was on an April 1977 show where one of the "films" shown was "The Three Stooges Have A Triple Hernia" (and another, "Charlie Chan Spits Up On A Coolie")?
Can you imagine the talent that it takes to pull off one of these skits? Johnny didn't have weeks to rehearse, either. Thanks to all of you who post these videos. Great laughs and they bring back many memories.
*Make a rest stop in Germany and change the color of the Blue Danube!* *lolololol* *Clever & fast wordplay and turns-of-phrase and not an f-bomb in the bunch ....* *I like this bit & Floyd R. Turbo as much as Carnak!* 🙂👍🏻♥️
08:14 The Matinee Lady should put that alarm where it is really needed...but knowing her it would always be in the off position! 😂Perhaps an open for business sign would be more appropriate.
Tea Time Movie was Carson's funniest bit. Of course, in today's cultural/political climate, where so many are offended by everything, no matter how petty, it would never fly.
Today Johnny would have been forced to make tearful apologies on the following night's broadcast for all the pain he caused while Rev. Al Sharpton would be hosting roundtable discussions under the banner "Can America Forgive?"
Carol played being dumb to perfection, But she was a very intelligent lady
Did Steven Segal buy that wig from Johnny?
Carol did that role wonderfully. In real life, she was smart as a whip.

Kamala Harris is making a good living out of being dumb and stupid at the same time.

I am 70 born in Montréal, Canada. I remember only an american station with horror movies and Elvira filling in the gaps.@@larryellisreed280
The time Art's mustache kept falling off, was the funniest ever
Yup!
"...But we'll take you to a ballet that'll make you want to holler 'BOLSHOI!'..."
That line is always so funny to me.
What a marvelous pair... and Johnny’s pretty good, too.
I can hear the rim shot from here.
Damn, you stole my line!
😂
Stephen shoots, he scores! 😂
When comedy was funny.
pro tip: watch series at flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Imran Davis Definitely, have been using Flixzone for months myself :D
Bring this type of comedy back. Johnny one of the best.
CLASSIC STUFF.. COMEDY IS DEAD NOW DAYS!...THIS WILL NEVER GET OLD!
"When me make a rest stop and you can change the color of the Blue Danube" tickled the hell out of me.

That one, plus "King Arthur Hurts Himself On A Chastity Belt," was cut out of the Family Channel's "Carson's Comedy Classics" repeats years ago.
@@wmbrown6 that’s sad. There was one movie title called “The Hardy Boys wear each other’s underwear” that had me cracking up 😂

My favorite was « The Wright Brothers Fail to Get It Up. »
Tom Mix Jumps on a Saddle Horn(you can hear McMahon dying in the background).

And 10-minute skits too and an hour-and-a-half show every night until Letterman.
And she has to follow along
of course the guess the other's person's sex would offend today's society
Someone should make a compilation DVD of just these skits. I'd buy it in heartbeat.
Art's best advertiser. Wonder blow.
Carol was the real life version of 'little annie fanny' , excellent!
Art fern and carnac were the best parts of a great show
Carol Wayne!

Really wish Carol was given a larger part. She's absolutely gorgeous, and frankly, a lot better to look at than Johnny.
She has 2 large parts!
Indubidubly 🙂
"The Wolfman gets a vasectomy" 😂
So he cut off his Slauson...

Arsenio hall at the end
Shock absorbers on your toilet seats
*Are you taller lying down than standing up ...?*
*When you're alone, are you ever arrested for unlawful assembly ....?*
*lololol*
🙂👍🏻♥️
Hilarious bit that would NEVER get on TV today. We're too serious and much too offended by everything and anything.
FUC todays late night...shit.
