Im pretty sure you can just turn off vibrations in the switch setting and alota games also have it in thier in game menu to switch off vibrations so stop complaining about something thats easily fixable

@@RookieS8er Not sure if this helps, but I have a pair of fake red and blue ones, I've had them for over a year and I haven't had any issues since. I actually did get this exact pair (purple and orange) just yesterday so maybe I'll see if they're worth it.
@London Plum As splatoon player that plays consisently the motion control is surprisingly identical to original pair of joycons had them for 2 months so far so good.

Better? It’s just less functionalities and lower quality.
Btw joy con drift is super easy to fix, there’s no need to buy new ones, and you can send them to Nintendo to fix them for free.

@@octoisalive Well you can repair them yourself and you don’t need to know anything about electronics, there’s plenty of tutorials about that, basically you put a cardboard under the analog stick… and that’s it, permanent fix.
Basically the shell maintaining the analog stick in place moves over time, and it makes it lose contact, and a cardboard puts pressure to maintain the shell.

The most important thing to check with third party controllers (for any console) are the analog sticks. Run a test or open a game that allows 360° movement, move the sticks in a circle motion slowly, make sure the sticks are able to register smoothly and not snapping in 8 points. Also, move the sticks from 0% to 100%, the character on the screen, or car, or whatever should very gradualy move. If you move the stick 30% or more and the character is not moving yet, or is moving full speed at 30%, or the stick has 8 points instead of an smooth 360, then please don't buy it, you'll suck at many games and it will be the controllers fault

It’s important to note that if you’re getting these for Switch Sports, you need official joycons because the game requires you to update your joycons, and unofficial joycons can’t be undated (I speak from experience sadly)
Other than that, though, they’re really good and it’s very hard to tell the difference unless you’re doing a side-by-side comparison!
We do have a workaround, by just turning off the joycons before pressing the update button, then just turning them on again after
I see this as an absolute win because I don't play Switch Sports and never will

i have a pair, and they work really good, the only problem, is when You use it attached on the switch and have it pluged in, they tend to freak out from time to time... but otherwise, they are really good

An amiibo is like this figurine that you can scan to load into a game. Take Splatoon for example: you can purchase a Splatoon Amiibo and scan it to have it in the game.

We bought some "fake" ones as we got sick of the official ones having the drift problem. Just as good IMO.
But inevitably they got the drift problem over time as well.
I hope they sort that before they release the next version of the switch
I bought these around a year ago and I’ll admit, the plus and minus buttons feel really off, and there’s no amibo or ar camera but the good things about them are they’re half the price and they don’t get drift nearly as fast as the official ones.

Nah, I also had a drift in the fake ones but after blowing, it actually fixes the problem 🤣 I also did that in the official joycons but blowing didn't work.

Well I say it’s worth it you get get official ones that can read amiibos with the switch and for working ones just without those that are half the price, that’s a steal
These are the joy cons I used to finish off the BOTW dlc and I LOVE THEM! Also highly recommend as they don’t need to be plugged in nor do they need any special conditions
They are okay as a spare but the buttons wear down alot quicker than official joycons, there can be input lag and they do get drift.
If I show up to someones house and they hand me the "little brother" controllers i'll feel a bit upset about it

nintendo sells switch pro controllers for 90 dollars, i bought an offbrand one for 18 dollars and it still works great, after half a year, no amibo support tho, but i dont care for amiibos anyway
I am a dedicated splatoon 3 player and i saw that the motion delay of fake joy-cons are extremely terrible…
I bought fake ones because my old ones got stick drift, buying whole new ones are ridiculously expensive

I go ahead and say this just because they're fake doesn't mean they're they're just playing useless impact sometimes sometimes having a fake is just as good as having the real deal
I bought some fake ones off Amazon for $20. Feel and function the exam same as regular ones, definitely worth it
my problem with fake controllers,
I had fake controller for a while, (and still do) I never noticed anything bad about it, it about felt the same. BUT, this bothered me, the color of my neon orange controller showed up as RED. it bothers me to this day and I don’t know how to fix it.
I believe you can update the firmware to show a different color
Usually ppl replace joycons cus of drift, so you can still use your originals to read amiibos. Seems like a great deal joycons are $80
The lack of HD rumble for me is the deal breaker for any 3rd party controllers
I got mine. they're decent. BUT NO IR CAMERA, NO AMIIBO, RING FIT CANNOT DETECT, RUMBLE feels like rotating rumble. But if your using it for 2nd player or just for games that doesn't use IR camera it gets the job done beautifully.

Only problem I've run into with my own fake joycons is that the vibration is extremely loud compared to the real ones, which can be annoying at times

I have the Neon pick and green Joy-Cons.
I've actually purchased these a year ago, I really have no complaints about these. But the motion control function is a lil bit more sensitive then official controllers. I'd rate 4.7 out of 5
Adjustable rumble, but not HD Rumble. Rumble effect would last too long for my liking. For example, that light vibration in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe when you collect a coin that lasts a second would vibrate for a few seconds on those fake ones. Copy cat shells. Lighter internals. Okay as a secondary pair for certain games in my opinion, but for me, I returned them in favor of OEM joy-cons.
I think my sister got me these joy-cons lol. They work perfectly and they haven’t gotten stick drift

I actually have a pair of these Joy-cons, and yeah, there qre very minor differences, but they play pretty much exactly like official ones. My only major complaint about them if that the vibration on them is insane. Super loud and makes your hands feeling tingly after one race of Mariokart. I have to turn off controller vibration when I use them.

i mightve gotten fake splatoon joycons that have stiff Z buttons, but id rather accidentally squidbag everyone than miss my aim completely because my old ones had the WORST drift

Dude my mom actually bought these for me and I agree! I have a pair of official animal crossing joycons, so they are great for a back up/when you need more controllers to play with friends!

I found a cheap set with a D-pad for five bucks that works for me. It was at a thrift store and there was no visible branding or company info though so I can't even share it..
They don't have joy con drift, BUT one of the buttons on my fake joycons broke, and it was the same brand you got.
With how bad joycons are with stick drift it actually makes sense to purchase these over real joycons.
