For anyone that didn’t play the original game on the Nintendo 64, the Wings to the Sky star might be a bit of a headache. At first, it appears as though you might not be able to do it, but the reality is that you can and there’s a very simple explanation for you. Follow along with the video to see exactly what you need to do to complete Star 5 on Course 1, Bob-omb Battlefield. It’ll show you how to fly up to get the coins you need to win the star.

I just use the Cannon. It's how I did it around 20 years ago

I did it right now on the N64. You don't need the cap. You just go in the cannon and aim. Might take you several tries to get the coins in the middle but that's how you do it.

I just can't control the wing cap, I can't stay in the air long enough and when I do I can't see where I'm going

My son (7) was able to get the 🌟 only one using the cannon, but it did take a while. You have to shoot individual shots and remember which direction you did....its a little shoot and adjust action that needs to go on 😆.
Started playing this game yesterday had to need this😂
Pro tip: if you have children, copy the save file as a backup so you only have to do this once 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😇😇

Definitely do not need the wing cap to complete this star. All center coins are within the reach of the cannon
Wingcap makes it way easier tho, atleast for me
its so hard without it 😭
I beat this game before with all stars redid this again & yeah you just go in the cannon & aim for the center coins. Getting the Wing Cap to come back to this level takes way too long. I don't know why he said you need the Wing Cap for when you don't.

@@Qaizy u technically don't need the cap it's easier with it but I 100% this game 3 time already got the game 3 yrs ago just recently 100% for a 3rd time the other day but u can get this star by just shooting yourself out the canyon till u get all 5 middle coins
I actually watched an old 64 gameplay and got the star without the wing cap.
Lol when half the player base can't figure this out but you remember when you were 6 when the game launched and were able to figure this out without internet or anything existing 🤣
I was 6 when this came out too but I am glad I can use the Internet. It comes in handy if you have missed something WHICH sometimes happens. Also i know how to do it is just annoying as I keep missing one star using the cannon.

I'm such a dummy when it comes to games without specific step by step objectives. If you have to figure out unspecified objectives, I'm totally lost. Its like, "WHERE DO YOU EVEN START"!?

The red box for the cap is see-through, How do I unlock it?

Same I remember back then the box wasn't invisible red like on my switch version of the game and I can't figure out how to make the box solid red like in this video
Get 10 stars and hit the red switch
Go to the center of the castle. And look on top for some secoonds

How do you look up on a pro controller?
Can you do a tutorial on how to actually fly with speed and altitude? Ive tried until the cows come home to do the swoop and dive but nothing bloody works. How the hell do you actually fly?!

How do you get the cap
Get 10 Power Stars
There should be a sun and it should have a whiteish glow onto it, Look up at that
You’ll spawn somewhere, Go on the red switch
Mess around with the wingcap till it runs out of time and spawns you back at the castle
Now every red block has a wingcap in it.
