- Updated from my older video. I show how to authenticate michael kors bags in one simple step. Nothing else matters but the tag I show in my video. Tag will be either clear, tan, black, black and white and tag with be made of either rubber or nylon depending on year it was made. I also authenticate coach if u need help with that. This was great, been searching for "what purse brand is the most popular?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. can you tell me the model of the pink one? and does the lining always have the leather around the pockets.
I do not have the small Michael kors leather patch inside the bag. Does this mean that the bag is not original. It is does have the small black tag inside location date tag.

I purchased a jet set crossbody and everything seems to check out (serial number comes back to the correct bag). The only issue I have is the tag says it is made in Cambodia. I know they make bags in places other than China (I have a large Bancroft made in Italy purchased directly from MK) but I am not finding Cambodia on the list of countries anywhere. This is the only MK bag I have that I did not purchase directly from MK so I'm anxious about having a fake and not realizing it. Also, the tag attached has an MSRP that is different than what MK actually sells it for. ($248 on tag while it is less on MK - just in color luggage, no special pattern or material). Can anyone confirm in Cambodia is a country where MK makes their bags?
Yes they make bags in cambodia
Fake bags DO NOT HAVE ANY DATE OR LOCATION TAGS INSIDE either, so thats another way to confirm its real. Only real bags have tags inside
@@tiffanikrieg870 okay, since they make them in Cambodia, that makes me feel better. So now the only issue is the price tag that has the MSRP listed higher than what is on the MK website. Maybe MK changed the pricing on the bag? Idk. According to the tag inside the bag, it was made Oct 2018
@@Scott_From_Canada the location/date is the information thats on the tag. So its called a location/batch date tag. Thats what I was referring to. As far as price, non of that matters with authenticity, prices change all the time. The only time u should work is if the tag is hot orange and says "gunmetal jet set item". Fake bags use the exact same price price tag. So a FAKE red fulton bag would have a price tag that says gunmetal jet set item. Those tags are bright orange rather than tanish color that mk uses.

I get some of my mk purses off eBay but I only buy them off one person off there and they all have the black tags in them.
That just means all the bags you have purchased are made after dec 2015

@@micalabiaga yes. I have a video showing how I clean my bags. Its older so its a ways down but the title is "how to clean blood, ink, stains" i use alcohol in the video to clean makeup and ink but for dirt i use "mean green " degreaser from walmart :)

Hello! I paid for one seller alot of money for this beautiful bag michael kors, but i cant find it on google. The name of the bag os Tina MD TH SATCHEL the bag have a black tag. There is some nombers and its sayis made is cambodia again some numbers and then Michael Kors so how can i know is this a real bag 🧐the leather is also saffiano so its hard to tell but the inside have names kors and the material is silk. The stiches are beautiful but my borbelm is i cant find this bag from the enthernet 🙄

@@MsA1ina yes. Fake bags dont have the tags, especially the black tags. Those just came out in dec 2015
Unless the (QR)-code acts as an unique identifier for every single bag nothing is stopping the fakers from just reproducing these tags. I think the tags are a good idea just be aware that they are not a magic way to authenticate a bag with 100% guarantee. I would not say it's wrong to have a good look at the quality because even if it is a authentic MK bag you might want to return it if the quality is bad.

Hi. I have a Grayson dark brown with mm. With chain . I have the plastic tag. In the bag. Says China and e-1307 nothing on back. No other # looks real. Not cheap looking. If you need a picture I can get a picture
Yes its real. Made in July 2013 (1307). The paper tag didn't start til later that year and wasn't on all styles for some reason. But yes definitely real if it has the tag inside. Fake bags don't have the tags.

What websites should we avoid?
symmetricalastic the ONLY real webiste is michaelkors.com. they have hundreds of fake mk websites so beware of those. U can get good deals on pashmark and mercari but just be super careful cuz 50% of their bags are fake. so always ask the seller to show a pix of date/location tag so u can be sure its real. If they tell u it fell off or doesnt have one cuz its vintage....they are lying. All real bags have the tag vintage or not :) hope that helps
