    I ride yr around. Have the jacket, pants, gloves and socks. Makes a big difference. Heated 4 u, a business, is right down from you in north east md. Retired officer owns it and sells all kinds of great heated gear. Worth a look.

    I used to work with a guy who rode a HD in the winter and would have on 3 Under Armour base layers, a heated vest, jeans, sweatshirt, leather jacket, heated gloves, a winter baklava, with his heated seat and heated grips and he would be pouring sweat by the time he walked from the lobby to his desk! I would laugh at him and he would laugh at me for not riding when it's 30 out! 😁
    Also, if you get the Bimmer Utility, you can increase the levels and output of your heated grips. I changed my lower levels and left the highest level alone. But they're also set pretty well from the factory.
    Enjoying the content so far! 🏁🏁🏁

    I have a bike for winter....just have to adjust to climate....now the Beemer may need a higher windscreen....but yah....I ride less in winter but those good days to ride are good therapy.

    I live in PA, and like you, I never winterize my bike. I ride all winter long. Heated gear is must and makes for a pleasurable ride.

      I also live in Pa & Ride my GSXR-750 & Harley Superglide all yr round, I have never winterized any of the bike’s I’ve had. It’s no different than any other sport, if you dress properly you can do it. If it’s above say 40 degrees I’ll ride! Stay safe out there!

    We live in Hawaii(I'm native hawaiian), but I've lived in northern Virginia(between Spotsylvania & Woodbridge) and alot of my buddies, who worked at the White House and in the general D.C area rode their bikes year round except for the 2 or 3 weeks when snow was on the ground and they got rides with other people; as their motorcycles are their main transportation. We'll soon be down in Clearwater, Florida

    I spent 62 of my 66 years living in the Boston area. I'm now in the Tucson area, so happy for that. But winter time, the latest I rode was the week before Thanksgiving. I used Gerbing was great! Heated lining, heated gloves, heated grips.

    Same here, I don't "winterize" my bike either. I like riding in autumn and spring a lot even in winter but only when dry and sunny.

    Hey John! You didn’t mention anything about the controller! It’s a must have! Without it you would literally roast, especially with bare arms. I always wear a base layer and usually a tee shirt on top then the liner… Goldwing Mike aka Ducati Frascati, now also Ninja Mike etc….🤦🏻‍♂️

    Hey man good video, when I heard you talking about the heated grips I thought I’d bring up what I recently did on my bike, in case you don’t know about it… you can connect your gs911 tool to the computer on your bike and configure the heated grips to have up to 6 or 7 heating levels. And if I recall correctly, setting 3 from factory isn’t as hot as they get. You can then adjust each setting to a specific % of heat. I set mine up with 5 settings. 1 is super light heat and builds up to the max at 5.

    What about the tires? As a non-motorcycle rider are they similar to cars where summer tires can't be driven in the winter below 40?

    • @cyclefanatixsport
      @cyclefanatixsport  3 месяца назад

      Well, the tires that I have on the bike now aren’t really good in the cold weather

    No controller for the liner? How do you control the temp? My liner has a controller.

    • @cyclefanatixsport

      I don’t like carrying the controller if I’m cold I have it plugged in if I get too hot, I unplugged it

      @@cyclefanatixsport ya I agree with having that thing strapped to your leg or in the pocket, I did not know you can use it without the controller, I will have to give that a try, thanks

    Once they salt the streets, that usually ends my riding season in the Northeast.

    I never tried the full jacket. I’ve had electric vest that also work well.
    Watching your video, I see you’re running Michelin cup two tires. I assume you don’t run those in the winter time?

    • @cyclefanatixsport
      @cyclefanatixsport  3 месяца назад +1

      Definitely not there not good in the cold, and they’re also almost done. I have to change them out anyway.

    • @cyclefanatixsport

      That’s definitely true. I just don’t go full out. It’s all about just getting some wind in your hair.

    I know northern NH isn't that far from NJ but the climate is different. I'd like to ride all winter but no, it really isn't gonna happen. The road salt for me is a real no-go. I do not want to expose any of my beloved machines to salt.

Not worried about stolen my apartment have a gate at the back so I'm okay . The only thing I worried is my bike if the bike is okay being outside those cover
