I cried when they revealed this in the direct. As someone who played this game to completion with my siblings, I thought it died with the Wii, so seeing it get revamped was a dream come true.
I loved this game when I was little. It's actually the first game I remember really fanboying over, and Magalor was a favorite of mine. The design was everything I liked and more. Glad they are back.

Return to Dreamland was the very first Kirby game I ever played, and the fact that they not only remastered it and brought back every copy ability in it, but kept the original soundtrack and added new abilities makes so insanely happy. This might just end up being my favorite Kirby game of all time ❤

Wait the flame dash was in the 3ds games tho, but you are right about some abilities losing moves in the 3ds games, like how spike lost the “totally not the spin dash from sonic” move, some abilities just got cut entirely, water isn’t in the 3ds games, spear isn’t in robobot, i don’t think wing is in robobot either, since it would be kind of redundant with jet returning. But I know for a fact that the fire dash is in the 3ds games and star allies

Looks like the Star Allies power creep is continuing here with Sand being able to do puzzles meant for Whip, Hammer, and High Jump. I wonder how busted mecha will be?
Not only is this probably one of the best Kirby games in the entire series but it's also one of the first Kirby games that I remember playing when I was around 11 years old......btw the reason I said that it's one of the first because around that same time I also remember playing Kirby's Epic Yarn too so I can't really be sure if RTDL was my very first Kirby game but it still holds a special place in my heart regardless. 🤩💖

That waddle dee at the end was actually a Waddle Doo, as you can tell by the dark red skin. They can't use their BEEAM ATTACK anymore because they're wearing the other guy's dead wife's skin over their eye.

as someone who watched naruto i can agree that kirby did the most brutal thing to an innocent defenseless waddle dee like gaara did to a random person in the chunin exams
Beam Revolution was actually in the original AND I think it's the best thing to just fry Whispy to death...again lol. Poor dude can't catch a break. Also, the fish sword was in the demo, I wasn't able to find it, but got thrown off guard by Morpho's sword.
