Been looking at this smart watch for the past few days cause I’ve been wanting to buy one. I said to myself, "I wish Lim did a review of it." A few seconds after scrolling into RUclips, this pops out on my recommended. The internet is scary, but I’m grateful. 😂
I bought the Redmi Watch 2 Lite to practice windsurfing. However in training modes "sailing", "kite surf", "paddle board", "car race" and "kayaking" the GPS does not come into operation. The only outdoor sports that GPS works with are hiking, outdoor swimming, outdoor running, outdoor cycling, trekking, and trail running. It would also be better if the watch could display the instantaneous speed for these wind & water sports. It is a valuable information at the moment of training. And a device that has a standalone internal GPS should at least show the geographic coordinates on some screen. It may be useful in an emergency situation, when your windsurf equipment is broken and all you have is a waterproof vhf radio and the watch. When data from Xiaomi wear is transfed to Strava, "outdoor swimming" loses GPS data and is turned into "indoor swimming". A Bug to be fixed. Another outdoor Training modes that is NOT possible to activate GPS are: "water skiing", "water polo", "other watersports", "rowing", "powerboating" , "rafting", "ice skating", "horse sports", "paragliding", "parkour", "rock climbing" and "ATV". I have posted this feedback in Xiaomi forum, and they expect that the issue will be resolved in upcoming firmware updates. My firmware version is 1.1.98
Bro this is a budget smart watch, for that price if you want all top end feature probably you have to go for sunnto Garmin or Fitbit which cost 3 to 5 times more

Hey man! The Xiaomi Wear App has seen a fair amount of updates since its launch and its getting better. However, I find the ZEPP app more refined as it offers more information like analysis of your health info. The Redmi Watch 2 Lite will only work with Xiaomi wear App upon testing.
Great review as always. Are the straps of both the Redmi Watch 2 Lite and Mi Watch Lite interchangeable? Looks like they use the same kind of latch and pretty much the same size as well.

Hi! Since you mentioned about accuracy, can you suggest some smartwatches/fitness watches that are also not too pricey with somehow decent tracking/close to good accuracy?
I owned the Redmi Watch 1 but I had an issue where it would not track my heart rate accurately. Often if I was running, it would show the same bpm as when I was walking or it just couldn't keep up. I since bought the Xiaomi smart band and it works great but I don't like the form factor as much as I do on the Redmi Watch. Can you please tell me if this issue has been resolved? The only features I care about is step counter and bpm. Oh, another thing was the app. It wasn't as good as on the smart band.
I guess it's a downgrade from Mi Watch Lite, Lim. From the title itself we can separate them from Redmi watch series and Mi watch series, with the absence of light sensor, larger size (a bit too large maybe?), i guess Mi watch lite is still a better option (i assume the price has dropped too). I'm a mi watch lite user btw
Hi buddy! Yep in that sense you're kinda right. The Mi Watch Lite does have auto-brightness and I'm not sure why it was dropped in the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. However, I'd still argue that it's an upgrade. These upgrades are: - Larger and higher refresh rate display. - 10 day battery life compared to 9. - More GPS satellite support. 4 satellites compared to 2. - Support for more sports modes. - Updated charging mechanism. It's now magnetic. All the above for only an additional RM50 (US$12). Cheers!
Does this watch support persian language? I bought this watch yesterday and when I receive an SMS, the persian font is messed up and it shows the words separately. Is there a solution?

Hey Lim. I'm from Sri Lanka. I use a Redmi Watch 2 Lite which I purchased last month. I use it when walking outdoors with the workout mode on. It does track the steps,pace and distance via GPS. But it doesn't display the heart rate and calories burned on the watch screen. I use only the watch when working out without my phone. So this is something I need help. TIA.
Battery Life is sucked. It can only survived abt nearly 1.5 day when turning off all countinous monitoring (spO2, HR) + 1 hour of using GPS for walking.

i have a kospet and i hate the fact that you change the watch faces by holding your finger on the screen because is always changing when im not looking and that is irritating. as i fold my arms or something and i see that this watch is the same so i wont be buying that one.

@@nicholaslow7245 Yeah bro, still not updated from the previous gen. I can totally understand you as these days we make a lot of calls via WhatsApp. To be honest, most smartwatches can ring continuously with WhatsApp calls. It's only the Mi Watch Lite series that does not work properly.

I just tested it last night after my work. The GPS is similar to Amazfit GTR 2 series. It locks on quite accurately but it does take about 10-15 seconds to lock. Hope this helps.

You can't. The GPS is mainly to track your location and pace data when you do activities like running, cycling, etc.
