    Really nice. Hyundai has been serving up really good audio.

    Amazing how Hyundai systems are testing better than BMW systems. BMW needs to get on the game. Great video!

      I can't speak for the Harmon Kardon ones BMW uses, but I had the 16 speaker bowers and Wilkins with the backlit RGB, made with Kevlar and diamonds in my 530D G30 and it was by far and away the BEST sound system I ever had. The only other Audio system that has come close, at least in vehicles I have owned, was a 17 speaker Mark and Levinson.

      @@Abc-ri1hzBMW audio feels so cheap … can’t listen to that after the harman infinity system that I had on my Tucson before … upgraded to Santa Fe, it is a new dimension altogether

      @@asum307umber of speaker always does not equal higher quality, listen to the -7 speaker system in Lexus and you would know. They are giving more speaker but with less power … what is the point. All this is marketing sometimes when they say 20 off speakers.. we got just two ears 😀 and it is all about the quality of sound .

    I just bought the calligraphy model. There is no wireless CarPlay or android auto for the upgraded screen only the smaller 8inch display. Also you can turn off split screen to get full wide screen view on both android auto and CarPlay. As for the sound. Coming from a Lexus Mark Levinson this is definitely not great. I would consider it around a b- at best. Bass is fine highs bright mids really are just too much they sound very loud and in your face and if you lower the midrange the other frequencies suffer greatly. I’ve tried so many settings and just can’t get the perfect tune out of the stereo. Maybe after a break in period the speakers will be better otherwise I’m debating switching out the mids and tweeters as well as the rear speakers for something smoother sounding.

      Just got the PHEV in Limited with Harmon Kardon speakers. I'm a bit bummed it isn't better as well. The bass just doesn't sound right. Only 3 way equalizer and I can't the mids and highs to adjust to make any meaningful improvement. It just sounds off. Theres a built in sort of surround processing that when I turn on the phase of the speakers seem way off. I hear the front speakers before the rears and its very distracting to my ears.
      I installed a Kicker Key amp in my base Kia Niro. It had way less speakers though and was an easier setup. I replaced door speakers in that with Infinity speakers and added a powered under seat sub under the rear floorboard. The Kicker had a Mic and auto EQed everything and my god what an amazing difference after the auto EQ. Kicker had an on off button so you could hear the difference after EQ and wow!
      Problem now is that the Santa Fe has a lot of speakers. Kicker Key was for a 4 speaker setup. I'm going to have to figure something out here. The sound isn't awful. For most people it will be more than enough. For audiophiles it will leave you wanting.

    For those that don't understand why auto manufacturers use wired rather than wireless phone to infotainment systems connection: wireless isn't as refined nor as stable as wired. Wired is very close to a 3 9s connectivity operational metric, whereas wireless is a single 9 at best. Hench, wired connections = greater operational consistency. It's really that simple.

      We understand what you said but a wireless system can always be wired by USB, can't make wired only support wireless tho my guy. Lol have a good one

    I have the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV in Limited Trim. What’s great is that the Harmon Kardon Amp is located underneath the Drivers seat! The wiring harnesses are easily accessible and there’s plenty of room under there if you wanted to upgrade.
    I think the Audio isn’t bad when you tweak the EQ. I have the Quantum Sound off as it seems to introduce some timing problems that are noticeable to me.
    Treble I set at max. Midrange I set at 7 and Bass I leave at default 0 as I really want the speakers to not struggle giving me good highs and mids. I want to add a powered SUB and replace the AMP with one that can perform EQ and timing adjustments.

      I see that the tiny “630” watt amp is under the seat as well in my 2022 Sante fe. I am looking into upgrading the amp and front speakers at a minimum .. the rear sub is useless … these “upgrade” sound systems must cost the manufacturer less than $250

    • @JonMoralesLA
      @JonMoralesLA 2 года назад

      @@shawnsponds Agreed the upgraded sound system leaves a lot to be desired. The sub is not impressive at all. I’m going to go with an underseat Sub first, play with the EQ and see where I’m at. One thing that concerns me Is that I think there’s 12 speakers total. If you replace the AMP not sure how some of those speakers are going to get powered.

    Is there cars with more than one USB data? It should be mandatory If you pay a premium for an audio system and you want to use a permanent external drive AND your CarPlay/AndroidAuto...

  • @JonMoralesLA
    @JonMoralesLA 2 года назад

    I have the Limited 2022 Santa Fe with Harmon Kardon audio upgrade.
    So far I’ve added a powered underseat sub to help fill in the bass. I have it very moderately adjusted so it’s not crazy and that’s how I like my bass, very balanced and not too showy.
    I still feel like the highs and mids just aren’t quite right. So I just purchased a $100 pair of tweeters to replace the front tweeters. I may also replace the center windshield speaker if I feel the need after the tweeter replacement.

    Hyundai always had a decent sound system. I’m even talking about the little Accents and Kia Rios, way more advanced and user friendly sound system than a car like the Toyota Corolla/Yaris, Honda Jazz/fit.

    I had a 2012 Santa Fe with the premium sound system and it jammed. I got a 2021 and the volume only goes up to 45 and I actually have to turn it to 35 or higher to get any decent volume out of the system. Certainly does not sound like I’m getting 650 W. Pretty much anything below 20 on the volume I can’t even hear it. I was actually checking the amplifier to see if it had a power button that has not been turned on when I bought the car. But I don’t see one.

    I'm wondering if mine is not working or I'm a complete idiot because no matter what I do the sound is terrible. It's got very poor bass and sounds tinny. The sound seems to come from the front central speaker and that's without me moving the position of the sound. I don't get it but I hope it's user error or broken and not just a con ie crap speakers with a badge on them.

      I moved the position of the speakers two points toward the rear. That's what seemed to help the most. Also, I lowered the midrange to -2

    Only the lower trim levels WITHOUT Navigation have wireless Android Auto and Carplay. The upper trims Limited and Calligraphy are wired, which seems odd. But that what it is.
