I love the irony of Kale, an obvious corporate CEO who clearly hates rock music and has the most techno style music in the game, has the same voice as Sonic, who has rock and roll coded into the franchise’s DNA
Looking up the VA’s and seeing that Kale was Sonic shocked me as much as the nicest man Macaron is the same VA as Kay/O
Don’t forget, he’s also the one who made his entire problem. He threw Chai’s music player off the catwalks where it lands on chai, making him a defect.

Chai is pretty stone cold for a guy who's so chill. Hes killed five people in the last day and doesnt give a fuck. Okay maybe 4 since the the wolf guy got crushed by money .

I mean he was only going for a knockout most of the time, not his fault that all of their company provided robotic argumentations are so prone to exploding.

He's got a lot of personality+design and the fact that hes a goofy villain (in the sense that hes not a dark harbinger of destruction like most video game villains nowadays) really makes him original.
His boss battle is one of the most entertaining to play ever and his presence throughout the game is both consistent and fun.
Ive seen people comparing him to other characters like vergil, which dont get me wrong, they are cool, but i honestly prefer evil Steve Jobs
I think the Vergil talk is more in his physical mannerisms and appearance. He definitely draws a lot of inspiration in all but personality.

I gotta agree, fuck Vergil 3 and his story to me seems to be "Mommy couldn't magically be fire proof and kill all the demons so I'm going to try and kill humanity twice so I can get more power"

Everyone in general seems very blasé about murder in this game
It is that feeling you get when the defeat of an enemy meant just a problem gone, without any underlying consequences beyond that, on cartoons.
Yey we defeat them! Instead of Yey we killed them, their families will be super sad about this thing we did!

This is, by FAR, the hardest boss in the game. Really the only hard boss in the game. I died more times to this boss than the ENTIRE GAME up to this point combined. Seriously.
I, surprisingly, died way more to mimosa. Took me several tries to figure her out properly. Only Kale gave me a comparable challenge, and I still died less to him.
Heck yeah! Second round I got him half way and I just could not beat him. I had to turn on the auto feature to beat him. Frustrating, as I got through the whole game with out it only to hit a wall in the second round with this cat.
I'm trying to block and dodge whenever when you transition from phases 1 to 2, but there's nothing for me to dodge from him so I can't move one, help?
If you're struggling just use ''pick me up'' as special attack, it makes the game way more easier. Never died to a single boss because of it.

Hi-Fi RUSH is the only video game where the final boss's final words are literally "shit's too hard man" before he self-combusts into oblivion
I mean in Fallout one you had the Master guy kill himself after being convinced he wasn’t doing anyone any favors and pretty much says the same thing

Man this phase really frustrated me. Took me several tries my first time. The last parry phase I misread but I figured it out.
I've been trying to beat it for like two days now, it's soooo rough.
It’s not a fun phase, so much visual clutter with your teams attacks+his attacks
Ywah, that was my only problem with this fight. Theres so much visual noise its actually difficult to see the parry indicators. I figures it out in a few tries, but still.
Yeah, this phase pretty much destroyed my entire run in that track. 31 retrys, an A Rank om the track, but a D Rank overall, huge middle finger ngl.
This boss was so damn fun
I love how a game like Hi-Fi Rush a game that doesn’t take itself seriously has the final boss themes being really symbolic with in a blink referencing Kales ego and how fast this fight will go and the perfect drug literally talking about spectra and how it can control people like drugs do and Kale can’t get arrested for it
Kale 2nd form looks like Sundowner but more powerful because Chai can't do zandatsu to cut it off.
even the "take it outside" moment is similar

Honestly massive respect to the musicians for making the streamer mode music decent, like it's not nine inch nails but it doesn't feel like it's trying to be, it just aims to match a similar vibe
That final phase is ROUGH on harder difficulties. I'm still trying to beat it on hard.
Just finished my first run-through of the game and I was on hard... some of the encounters were really tough. And i died 20 times in this level which i think 17 or 18 of which were all on the last phase.

That music is such a banger!! Listen to it during gym and all sorts in spare time, the perfect ending music I can’t get enough of
I couldn't help myself, but I yelled "BURY THE LIGHT DEEP WITHIIIIIIIN!" when he started his last phase.
My file got corrupted before i could finish this fight 😓😭... I have to restart the whole game. Crawled here to lick my wounds. Fucking love this game though 10/10 wish my computer doesnt fuck me over next time
Fun fact: Kale's voice actor is Roger Craig Smith and he is famously for voice acting Sonic the Hedgehog, Ezio Auditore in Assassin's Creed, and Captain America in several Marvel project

On my playtrough the 5:04 part does'nt end, dont matter if i do the quick time event the right way, it just keep repeating, can someone help?
If someone is having the same problem as me, you are problably in the hard difficulty, you have to change the difficulty to normal, then in the other phases of the bossfight you can set the difficulty to hard again.

I think kale might become a Tumblr sexyman it's probably too early to judge but it wouldn't surprise me

5:05 I can’t play the rest of the fight because the dodge part won’t actually hit me so I’m dodging nothing making me repeating over and over

What ability makes the boss drop health packs like a pinata?
Its a chip you have to get. I forget the name but it provides a percent change that health will drop after a perfect parry
@@Stynkrat Nah I carried that chip throughout most of the game. You get maybe one health drop plus this guy was just whacking the boss not parrying him. Maybe it's an easy mode thing 🤷🏻♂️

He was a very tough boss but I didn't really suffer battling him because I was constantly summing Peppermint to distract him from focusing on me lmao. It worked and I didn't die even once!

I hate the last phase of his fight, probably my least favourite fight in the whole game, can barely even hear any music, it annoys the hell out of me ngl, because the whole game ive been going off of the music like it says, and now there barely any, so now im struggling to time anything

This games has potential but it's to glitchy and trash when it comes to passing levels and can beat the final boss because I don't have enough HP

I had tons of issues with the final phase (probably shouldn't have picked hard) but I was able to finally beat it by parrying every shot, taking it slow with korsica, and only doing one heavy combo at a time till the stun where I let loose
