Personal preferences - we travel for months at a time for pleasure in our 28 and find it very comfortable. The front lounge provided enough space to extend our galley with a convection oven and a dishwasher. You modify and adapt to what you have.
I installed an LG all in one washer/dryer in the lower portion of the closet in a '68 Ambassador D. I've lived in my Airstream for about three years now and have had the LG for two. Personally, I feel freedom from laundromats is indispensable for making an Airstream a home. If I were shopping for liveaboard floor plan, I'd look for something with the space to accommodate a 24"x24"x34" appliance that had near access to both hot/cold water and a grey water drain. I installed mine over a weekend and have never looked back. Incidentally, it might just be the camera angle, but in your video, your truck seemed be riding low on the rear axle. If that's the case a $300-400 weight distribution hitch with anti sway bar is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks for the interesting video and good luck.
That's a great point! We do a lot of laundry at home! You're right about the level on the truck / trailer. We've got a blue ox WDH with sway bars but I had the receiver set too low. Corrected since. Thanks for watching! We've got some new videos coming so be sure and subscribe!
Why didn’t you get the hatch? We got it andit is fantastic. Makes the table. bit wobbly cause it’s not attached to the wall but i put a removable brace on the corner to the couch.
Nothing against the hatch, it just didn’t work for what we wanted and they didn’t have one in stock. Plus, it would take about five minutes for our two dogs to jump through it :-)
Great job on this video guys! Love all the B roll!!! Great reasons. You know our vote.....stay as small as you can , but also comfortably camp/work/live in. Every foot counts while driving and parking these things. 😊💪 - A
Another advantage of International over the globetrotter are the upper cabinet doors. Sliders are simpler, no hardware issues. To me, it's worth sacrificing the access having to slide the doors.
I appreciate the breakdown of your choices. We currently have a LGM and travel in the summer only….in a few years we are upgrading to an airstream for retirement and this video provided some tips in our decision making , thank you.
Excellent video. The pantry in the 27 vs 28 has me sold. Btw…where did you get the macrame hanging basket by your door? I searched with google lens but can’t find it!
Love the rig! looks like home to us! We agree with all the features you addressed and we live full time and work full time from the road.
Right on! Thanks for watching!

You sure do! And you made room for a dishwasher! Awesome!

We decided on a 27' flying cloud instead of the 28' as well, but I didn't know about the tank storage difference! Great video!
Good choice! Thanks so much for watching!
Great comparison. We just bought the same model you have and pick it up next week.
Thanks so much for checking it out! You’re going to love it!

That’s a great point! We love our sliding cabinets.

So glad it helped! We loved our LGM, but having a nice set of windows on the rear in the Airstream has been awesome.

Thanks for watching! You are so right about the pantry! It's been so long since we bought that hanging basket we can't remember where we got it!
Great video! Love your dogs ❤
They can be pretty fun from time to time :)

@@DigitalBarbell Bring it on! Deborah just got the Quest 3 and doing workouts on the VR! Crazy times we live in!
We did the opposite and chose the 28 twin, we are retired and we are couch people. 😀

Best trailer trash vid ive seen all year 🤣
Thank you?
The 28 has no place for a trash can. Insane
Right?!??? Just a tiny one!
Actually, a nice residential kitchen trash can fits just fine in our 28, conveniently to the right of the sink in front of the cabinet.
