The falcons 34-0 shutout wasn't special. It was against a patriots team that finished 2-14, got shut out 3 times, delt with so many injuries, including 4 qbs
After successful in 1991 the 1992 Atlanta Falcons debut new stadium Georgia Dome they would finished third place NFC West Division with 6-10 Under head coach Jerry Glanville they look for final chapter 1993 🏈
Man, this team really sucked. They mention Tony Smith, who was acquired using a first-rounder that came about due to the Brett Favre trade to GB. Tony Smith never gained another rushing yard after this season. No Emmitt Smith, I'd say. Bruce Pickens! What a terrible first-rounder he was. Notice all the QBs who played: Miller, Tolliver, Wilson. Glanville had one decent season in '91 and that was all she wrote. Falcons made the playoffs in '95 and then again in '98 with their SB run. I went to the Dome before that '92 season when they had an open house. It was cool, but the Falcons were back to being the same old Falcons.
I love the 90s Georgia Dome era Falcons and this was the first season right here.
Jerry Glanville showed his true colors as a coach in 1992.
