I think the Lakers are unlikely. But what about the Rockets? The Rockets were rolling with Harden and Paul. If they had Lebron playing at SF/PF instead of Anderson or Ariza they'd be very hard to beat. If Lebron wants a legitimate shot at a championship, then Houston makes a lot of sense. I think Lebron on the Rockets completely changes the picture out west.
That's what James does, he stacks the deck and cuts the check while getting his respect. If he winds up 5-5 at the end of his career then that will be just fine for him because right now he's competing with Larry Bird. Both Bird and LeBron have 3 but Bird lost 2 and LeBron has already lost 5 rings so he's not as good as Bird because he's lost 5 but if he winds more than Bird, he'll seemingly be in that class or a little bit above. A guy that loses in the Finals is not better than a guy that wins. When guys get to the Finals more than twice, you have to pair up wins and loses to see how good one is. Russell is 11-0; Jordan 6-0; Duncan 5-1; Kobe 5-2; Shaq 4-2; Magic 5-4; Isiah 2-1; Hakeem 2-1; Bird 3-2; Wade 3-2; LeBron 3-5. The guys who lose more than they win are not better than the guys who win more than they lose - bottom line.
