The lyrics of this song are pure genius. It's a whole story in itself and so well written and crafted. Well done, Don. 🌟

New lyrics to Gordon Lightfoot's 10 degrees and getting colder. Surprised that it never went to court?

One of the first songs I ever was conscious of hearing as a child - my pop bought me a compilation album of country hits and Schlitz's version of this was on it. Loved it. Kenny R's is great version too, but Don's hits the mark.

Stunning writing. And a great performance and production made that dream a wonderful reality.

If I never did anything in my life other than write 'The Gambler', I think that's ok.

I love the song, the imagery, and the lesson. I am a bit sad however, that it's not a recounting of an actual experience.

@@GGucciPJsDrippinTMWut that doesn't even make sense. He said himself the event did not happen as its written.
