There is not enough adjustment with the 10xx series cards. The blue is teal and the red is pinkish. You go to nVidia control panel and all you see is 3D adjustment. There is no hue, saturation, etc. True, you can adjust in Windows settings but only 3 color adjustment.
The socketed GPU's on laptops are not actually for upgrades but more for easy service and repairs, like some laptops have everything soldered to the board and when something fails you will have to replace the whole motherboard.
6:60 What was that reference about an exchange program. I purchased a second hand GT72VR 6RE and the default cooling couldn't catch the 1070 mobile before shutting down. MSI are conservative with their cooling I guess. Hot tip for anyone experiencing thermal shutdowns. Make sure you setup your advanced Fan Speed profile for the GPU in Dragon Center. I had to use 18% 30% 60% 60% 100% 150% to ensure the temps stay around 70-79 degrees celsius under full boost mode (Sport). Default CPU profile seemed ok out of the box. Also had to get a hold of vbios 86.04.5b.00.8a for the 1070. Took me two days of sweating to figure this one out, now its all under control thankfully.
the option for Blue-ray reader/burner is available at Xotic's website. Additionally, they offer the option to replace the drive entirely with an additional HDD. I checked out their website, and the range of options offered is pretty impressive IMO.

I think the old style holds up to other channels like Dave2D or some of the more seriously made Linus thumbnails, but now it is weird to my eyes that I will straight ignore it until I somehow notice the MobileTechReview channel name under it. The new intro is just too old school fiction book cover alike.

This model is affected by the color banding issue which is very annoying as you can see at 13:50. This is caused by the poor LG IPS display MSI used. Check on the forums there are a lot of people affected by this. Just so you all know before buying.
Lisa, would you get the msi gt62vr dominator pro-087 or the asus strix gl502vs-db71? Is saw a gl502vm with the 1060 at best buy and the screen looked washed out.. I saw an msi laptop, the gs63vr and the screen was gorgeous. Is the bigger msi screen similar? Also the keyboard on msi was much nicer. I find its performance to still be sufficient for my needs, but I have resigned to sticking to medium @ 1080p to get 35-60 fps. Would this 1070 equipped model have a significant performance boost vs my current machine? Hey, I'm considering to upgrade my laptop (currently MSI GT72 6QD Dominator pro with integrated gtx970m 3gb gddr5) to the newer model (MSI GT72VR 7RE Dominator pro with integrated gtx1070 8gb gddr5). Now I read the MSI GUS 2 is coming to the public soon. The thing is I'm still hesitating if I should go for the upgrade or just buy an MSI GUS 2. So I was wondering if you guys knew if there are any drawbacks to the eGPU compared to an integrated (dedicated) GPU. As example: Is the performance of the eGPU as strong as it would've been an integrated GPU? fans nosie is not loud when running on normal playing games but if you had cooler boost on, fans are loud but no complaints from anyone close. now for temps, i had to laptop for about a year and half. gpu temps when gaming on ultra it sits at 71C the highest i seen it go was 75C thats only because i was gaming in a really hot day in 3rd floor apartment. cpu temps sits around 58C 65C, Cpu hits about 71C when playing BF1. and theses temps are without cooler boost on. i rarely have to turn it on with GPU temps at 71C. i set it up so the fans run on high but not cooler boost high. any more questions il happy to answer

Hello everyone, I need some guidance; Guys, I am so confused :( I wanted to buy this one on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If I understood correctly something somebody mentioned, I won't be able to get more than 60 fps plugging this baby to my 120Hz TV because HDMI connectivity won't allow me to go over 60Hz, am I right? And if this laptop has a 60Hz screen RR, I won't be able to go better than 60 fps either... So guys, what is the point of getting this laptop for that price and not a cheaper that would also give me only 60 fps? (lower quality GPU, maybe 1060, 980M?)
Rahul venkat get the dominator, im considering getting the dominator soon as well. the problem with the stealth is that since its a thinner laptop it also gets very hot, ive seen many reviews from people who got it that said it gets really hot so id go with the dominator if u wanna be able to game comfortably without boiling ur cpu
I prefer much much more the Asus trackpad and dedicated buttons. MSI is still a company with work on progress, their laptops seem that aren't finished properly.

So guys, what is the point of getting this laptop for that price and not a cheaper that would also give me only 60 fps? (lower quality GPU, maybe 1060, 980M?)

Rahul venkat get the dominator, im considering getting the dominator soon as well. the problem with the stealth is that since its a thinner laptop it also gets very hot, ive seen many reviews from people who got it that said it gets really hot so id go with the dominator if u wanna be able to game comfortably without boiling ur cpu

I prefer much much more the Asus trackpad and dedicated buttons. MSI is still a company with work on progress, their laptops seem that aren't finished properly.

i love golf and to play this in vr which i have on my ps4 is the best feeling ever i relly dont want to going to the trouble of getting a refund
having over friends would be great fun but the game just keeps freezing most of my other vr games work a wonder but the likes of this the golf club vr, episode 1-call of starseed, the rise of captian longbeard and vanshing relms always seem to freeze on me and i have to quit my vive or sometimes restart my whole computer!!

im not a big techy so i tried a few things with changing the physx to the gtx 1070 but it has an option to put it too the gpu
some people say roll back your drivers on forums and some people say u need to connect the headset certian ways with different cables but why does all the rest of my games work and not the ones that i relly want to play which i mentioned
can someone who understands me please tell me what to do it would relly be appreciated :(
Please, when benchmarking and showing FPS... always report Windows 10 and drivers version since things are changing radically these days with latest Windows kernel...

They are useless ! Had an Alien ware 17" 1060 , it was the 2nd one as the first would not even boot, Dell support in the UK is Weekdays 9 to 5 only and staffed by Idiots who barley speak English, The machine would not run Elite Dangerous on anything other than Mid range settings and the CPU was maxing out at 100% all 8 cores and stuttering, it also DOES NOT Come with Tobii eye tracking only Tobii SENSE 2 very different things, I sent it back and have now bought MSI GT72
Same exact mistake I made. Got my Alienware 17 1060 and literally everything I did on the computer was slow as shit. Especially gaming :( just shipped it back today to buy another one :D Still looking for the one
