VG G yeah, when it's in Tastemade, I trust Jen in her Filipino recipe accuracy more than Erwan who tries so hard making it fancy or like a fusion but it just doesn't work.
Be mindful of the ingredients in Banana Ketchup or also called Banana Sauce. I recommend just regular Heinz ketchup...or pineapple juice for sweetness if you have no ketchup. (I'm more about natural ingredients as much as possible, that's all). You can also use 7up for the lime soda. ~(from a filipina)
5 dislikes? How can you dislike Jen 😭 ??? She is like my older-confident-fun-and-awesome sister that I would love to hang aroung with 😍 🌺 LOVE YOU JEN 🌺💖
3 cloves are really just a "touch" in Filipino style cooking. The main philosophy is "You can never have 'too much' garlic. The more of it, the better the food gets."
Sort of kind of, I think the only difference would be most inasals use achuete (annatto) and they would normally baste the BBQ more as it cooks (from my memory of the stalls in the Philippines). My parents make their BBQ chicken similar to Jen's recipe, but we use calamansi.
Wait! You are no true Filipino... Because most of the ones I know can't even pronounce the "F"... It's always Pilipina, Pish, Pollow me.... Lol... I'm sorry I just love your videos...
....keep white-vinegar for cleaning dishes etc.... (although I still love it on plain french-fries once in a while with salt) Switch to pure and crud apple-cider-vinegar or crud wine-vinegar (I even threw away plain store-bought ketchup/mustard/etc and make my own using crud apple/wine vinegar, and even eat it spoonful just like soup if I feel to LOL) (oh!.... the last batch of white sugar I had 10yrs ago served as lighting camp-fire. I won't ever give a sugar-cube to a horse nor my Dog. I only use my locally made maple-syrup as sugar for cooking ever since) (soy-sauce and/or soy/canola-oil are great for killing weeds in the drive-way though) Good thing your smile keeps you looking healthy though ;)
I love how you’re doing lots of Filipino recipes lately!

Sarap! I miss Filipino bbq. I’d love to make this, can I use the marinade to grill up a whole chicken? Or is it better to do with smaller pieces?

Chicken BBQ is a staple in our province. Gotta suggest that you try chicken oil on your chicken BBQ and you'll be on your way to bbq heaven!

That's a really good alternative recipe for the pickle as it is difficult to find green papaya ....
You can find it at any oriental store.

yesss jen
I think you should've cooked the vinegar for the pickle tho
Marinated overnight getting ready to fire up the grill!
❤️.
Can you give me exact measurements
Oooooooh, atcharra!!!
Why did that vinegar have seeds in it?
joyjoy Hi. She did say that the vinegar she used for the marinade had some ginger, garlic and chilis.
Francesca Medina guess I wasn't paying attention. Lol
This is different from inasal, right?
Sort of kind of, I think the only difference would be most inasals use achuete (annatto) and they would normally baste the BBQ more as it cooks (from my memory of the stalls in the Philippines). My parents make their BBQ chicken similar to Jen's recipe, but we use calamansi.
yes. inasal have different marinade.
Is she a Filipina? :)
Her mom's Filipina ^_^

Needs some brown sugar to add more sweetness.
