      This is why ppl need to take red flags seriously (I personally could’ve saved myself from so much if I had just left the person at the first red flag). This dude was literally telling his colleagues about his fascination with corpses!!!!!!! And had previously attacked a woman!!!!!!

    • @leahsander5490
      @leahsander5490 Год назад +10

      @@sanyangi Leaving everyone at the first red flag is perfectly legitimate, but I think might be too extreme. I had a girlfriend once who was fascinated with dead animals, literally going on tours to find and photograph them. She also kept a preserved lung in her room. She also studied to be a doctor and to my knowledge, never hurt anyone. Some people are just weird. I'm autistic, maybe some of my natural personality traits would be perceived as red flags by some. I feel there is a bit of an obsession with that term.
      Edit: Posted too early, wanted to add that attacking a woman (or man, or animal) is in fact a major red flag and everyone should be very careful getting in a relationship with someone who displayed violent traits like that in the past.

    I bet you he expected her to be drunk enough that she would be incapacitated OR drunk enough to lure her into taking sleeping pills and would ditch her afternoon. He’s most likely gotten away with this before with drunk students who thought he would help them get home, but this time he panicked when he realized she was sober enough to recognize what was happening and fought back. Hence his second attempt with the sleeping pills on the second woman.

    I'm at minute 24 and so far everything is so casual. It is weird. Do people no longer understand murder is wrong?
    Do I need to start going around telling people that murder is wrong?

    • @russelloats
      @russelloats 3 года назад +55

      Don’t take it the wrong way entirely. The officers are completely disgusted by this man’s actions, but they know it’s best not to agitate him, otherwise they may not have ever found the body. This is one of the best case scenarios. Murder doesn’t kill anyone else, turns himself in, reveals where the body is so the family and friends can get some closure, and he goes to jail. True best base scenario was that Kaylee got to go home that night :(

    Is it weird that I wish JCS went further into sorta the profiling of the attacker? Like there has to be a reason, or a point in this persons life where their mind went completely haywire where they thought this was the route they should go. I just don’t understand why someone would do some horrid shit like this and I want to understand. Maybe I’m just being too empathetic??? Idk

    • @trancandy1
      @trancandy1 3 года назад +9

      no, this is a really good point. by pinpointing the source of the problem, we can begin to help people before they potentially snap. empathy does not always equal condonement or praise, only an understanding of another's emotions

    • @sundalius
      @sundalius 3 года назад +18

      Because the honest truth is that it isn’t like that. You’re looking for rationalization. There probably isn’t any. The kids from the case he watched with Rae is a great demonstration.

    • @nicolaim4275
      @nicolaim4275 3 года назад +2

      Empathy is actually the key point to look for with these people. The lack of empathy makes it significantly easier to decide to hurt someone else, since you don't care about how it affects them or those who love them. The trigger for someone with high levels of empathy is often self-defence and extreme agitation while the trigger for someone with low levels of empathy can be anything.
