Very clever build and I love that is not really a "cheese method" because you still have to learn the boss move-set, dodge on time and attack during the openings so the fight was still fun but felt more fair.
Yes! I haven't been looking at guides since I wanted to finish my own playthrough first, but the moment I saw the Great Sage arena full of water I immediately remembered this armor set, so I upgraded it to Legendary. Equipped the body piece, and then a couple of Wukong's signature armor pieces for the Crit, Jingubang, Crit, and Mana curios for more Cloud Step uses, and that was it. Beat the Sage in a couple of tries. What a great, emotional boss!
Thanks to you I was able to beat him in game plus. When I say I died too many times I was shaking in anger 😡. I left the game played COD came bck & I still lost but thanks again I was able to pass this stage.
in first phase just keep distance and charge 4 focus point slam. shell will just slowly approach and you can hit him as this slam has huge range. then you increase distance and reapat. laughably easy first phase. you will not get hit even once.
how did he allow you to drink your gourd in phase 2? 4:33. usually if you does that when his health is less than 50% he wont allow you to drink your gourd. edit just try this is so much better! i almost got him but due to my bad skill. will keep improving!

He attacks you once the fourth gets charged, he will eat good part of health like that
