These mowers are really great! I recently bought one and I will NEVER go back to a gas powered mower again. This thing is so light, quiet, and easy to maneuver. And best of all, never having to buy gas or check oil ever again! Also battery life is quite good, I can mow my entire lawn which is about 1/3 acre on one charge and still have a little juice left.
This mower is awesome, and I agree, never going back to gas. The run time is more than enough for most people. They just need to get the "gas is better than battery" out of their head.
I had open heart surgery 2 years ago this month. Last year I bought ryobi self propel mower, a little different than this one. I had a 4 year old push ryobi 40v mower. Young guys probably don't need it but when I am done mowing I can sure tell the difference! Both ryobi mowers have done well for me.
I'm 6'2 and the lawn mower handle doesn't adjust to my height. This means I push down on it raising the front wheels off the ground. With wheels up, the self-propel is too strong and the lawnmower pulls me around. I hate it.
Have you tried turning the speed down? It's not ideal, but it may stop the mower pulling you around. I find myself lifting the handle up to force the front wheels to contact the ground. It's not a great design from Ryoni to not have an adjustable handle.
Can you use the drive function without the blade turning? Also when you push the mower without driving it is there resistance in the wheels? Your answer will be the deciding factor in which model I purchase. Thanks!
Yes, you can use the drive function without the blade spinning. You just pull the green handles and don't press the blade start button. You can also push the mower instead of using the drive function. I use this on tighter sections where I want more control and I have not felt any resistance when pushing the mower. Hope this helps you decide which model to get. The one I have, still really impresses me.
Gas Mowers have to be nearing the end. It's not just the ryobi Mowers that are great, most other brands are just as good, if not better. Ryobi wins for me due to tool selection, price and overall performance.

My son just got me this mower for Father’s Day! Can’t wait to use it in the morning!!
I am sure you will love it. Don't wake the neighbors up!
Have one. I like it, works well
Good to hear. Mine is currently being fixed as the blade won't turn.

Is it easy to 'free wheel ' push it if you don't want to engage the self propelled function?
I wouldn't say it's easy to push, but it can be done. If you're going to push, save your money and get the push only model.
thank you for the review, I am getting one of these today after work.
You won't regret it.
@@DIYwithCam well i had to put mowing on hold... its raining in the Great NW
Do you really need a self propelled with it being so light?
Not really, but it is nice to have it for going up hills. It really makes it an easier mow than pushing it

@@RandyStimpson I’m 6’2 as well. No problems, great mower. Love it.

My neighbor could not tell I was doing her lawn...😅
Lol. Wish my neighbors made the switch, guy mows every day. 😒
Paid 249 awesome deal battery is almost $200 alone quick charger
Especially with the sale they have going on. I missed out on that by a few weeks. You won't regret this purchase.
@@DIYwithCam love it light not heavy already in their line have almost 15 batteries so runtime is no issue for me

Mulch! Dont bag!
Depends on how long the grass is and how I'm feeling. This mower also doesn't do a great job at mulching when the grass is longer.
Can not start after 1 year
Should be under the Ryobi warranty.
i could barely hear anything that was said in this video unfortunately
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I have upgraded my mic set up since this video to ensure my content going forward can be heard.
