I have a 1/2 acre lot (100' x 200') and I just bought one of these mowers about two months ago. I have to say I like it so much I will never go back to a gas mower again. This mower is quiet, super light weight, and completely hassle free. Just push a button and you're good to go. You can mow early in the morning when it's cool, and not disturb anyone because it's so quiet. I can mow my large backyard with one charge, then recharge it while taking a break (it has a 30 min. quick charger), and then mow the front yard. Also I like the way it folds up and then stands against a wall. Can't do that with a gasoline mower or the gas and oil will run out of it.
I have the 21" cross cut model. The motor is supposed to ramp up its rpm's when the grass is thicker and it needs more power. My complaint is the blades get dull quickly. I sharpen them periodically with a file and use 0000 steel wool with some motor oil on it to clean the blades in between sharpenings...it helps! Thanks for your review.
I came here hoping to hear what it sounds like mowing. Even a brief 10 second clip would have been helpful. Thanks for all of the great info though and person experience with the mower!
Least they getting rid of the headlights, i currently got one few years ago and while not perfect it was way better than previous 2 ones of ryobi i owned. Is ryobi lawn mower perfect? nope but does its job, we got it cause we were tired of corded lawn mowers. Least ryobi keeps improving on their design with each new model. If i ever get a new mower im looking forward what improvements ryobi has to their mowers.
I bought 1 about a month ago and so far I think it a good mower for my small yard, it's so easy I've been cutting twice a week, a couple problems I noticed is the blade doesn't stay sharp very long and there not much suction between 3 and 4 inches, I haven't went below 3 inches yet probably won't do it until this fall, I curious to see how it will do with picking up leaves, I would like to up grade the blade , I do like the rubber flap behind the back wheels it makes nice stripes when you cut at 3 inchs.
@@BrotherBrown Same here, the extreme convenience of this mower is well worth the slight lack of power. I have no complaints with mine at all. Love it.
How is your long term reliability of this mower? I had a previous model Ryobi mower and it fell victim to where is wont start anymore which was a common issue with previous ryobi mowers. I am hoping Ryobi solved this issue with the newer models.
i have this one and i just replaced the single dull blade with the cross cut blades that my grass is starting to die and i will need to do a mulch over cut and water to fix any dead grass spots!!
@@jbreezecoleman5345 I whent ahead and bought this mower. It does come with the mulch plug that you plug in if you want to mulch the grass and redistribute to the lawn as fertilizer rather than use the grass bag that it also comes with to collect the grass instead. Up to you but it's nice to have both features!
I'm curiuos for owners of this mower and the 40V HP Brushless 20 in. Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Mower with 6.0 Ah Battery and Charger from Lowes. It's blue.
I haven’t experienced that in my time with the machine. I’d check the cable and see if anything has been broken. Make sure to take the battery out when checking!
I have the same lawnmower. Just wanted to know my mower used to turn on without having to push the button everytime . Now its dead. Any troubleshooting of why there's no juice when the battery is fully charged.

I have had the 13 inch Ryobi for at least 10 years. Love it, starts every time! I have a small yard.

Glad to help. I’ll be interested with how the blades are in the future

Picked the same model up today. I'm not one to read directions and didn't know how to raise the handles. Thanks for the vid.
So helpful! Thanks.

Agreed, the leafs cut ok, not as good as a gasoline mower but the convenience is worth it for me! I’m still enjoying mine

How do you set it to Mulch? Do you need the plastic part you mentioned in the video for it to mulch? Does it come included with it?
SAME ANSWER IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!

Mine kept shutting off after 15-20 seconds and when I'm cutting if I try to turn it around it will also shut off
I have this same mower and am losing power randomly, any suggestions on a solution?

It might be just increasing and decreasing RPM's depending on the load it's under. Mine does that too, not a problem.
did anyone else's mower come with the rear flap curled under? It constantly gets stuck under the deck when i mow backwards in tight areas.
Gas has way more power, but depends on how much CC the mower has on it. 140cc is alot weaker then 170cc
Thx . God bless you and your family!
Cut high! And mulch! Its free fertilizer!
Link is only good for battery not mower.
Can not start after 1 year
