It's been really hard for me with uni this year since I had to basically stop photographing ppl and focus on studying and I miss photography like hell. I really think i should get back at it and not quit after seeing videos like this, I feel you
Absolutely gorgeous. Georgia is an incredible model and I can totally relate to your initial feelings on that idea you had, Jess. Envisioning is step 1, but overcoming that speed bump is one of the best feelings. Thanks for showcasing that. It's totally normal. As for the shots themselves, all were fantastic, but I'm LIVING for the backlit ones. Omggggg.
These photos came out amazing Jessica! I know the feeling when you can’t quite capture that image in your head lol so frustrating but nonetheless you did great. Also bring back longer vlogs I miss that feeling of being there with you guys.
I just watched your video from five years ago, about whether it is worth attending college to study photography? I got a full scholarship to study anything that I want and at the beginning, I choose a business major but then I change my major to photography. Being honest with you is being really hard because I lot of people from my surroundings ask me "why you didn't go for something else? your major won't guarantee you a job." Which has led me to the question "' am I choosing the right path for my life?" leading me to have more stress and depression. However, seeing you, has inspired me to keep going. Your work is marvelous and very inspiring. Thank you for the video that you upload five years ago.
You can get a job without college. You can’t get great at anything without studying and working towards it. Keep going for photography and one day you will be paid for your art and it won’t be a job but a passion.
I worked in photography for a retired battleship one year. Learned photoshop, every slight detail in editing, coordination, an eye for movement with landscapes. It's an art form and expressive in every breath! I was lucky to have met wonderful people and had a great experience, though at the time it was a low paying fun seasonal job. I'd recommend getting your hands on a camera for a paycheck and getting experience on your own, if you love it you will learn from coworkers too! 💛💚
If you're going to Kyoto, you should consider reaching out to "Let's ask Shogo"....he practices traditional Japanese customs, interviews Geisha, and could be a great source for photography.
I love the in motion look, trucks and cars going by, life continues to move even if in you're in one spot. It's very authentic with a pose in a candid world.
I LOVE your honesty Jessica and I'm still learning about which Canon camera models there are/didn't pay attention before but after ordering a 5D Mark IV wanted to check what camera you had and now I'm even more pleased with my decision :)
Have you thought of a way ... that somehow.. those that follow.. you for your great photography with models or strangers.. don't mistakenly have America's Top Model episode crap.. I believe you have two sets of followers.. and kind of annoying to see a lot of those ATM .. episodes.. with your nice photography.. and models... give it a thought.. perhaps .. separate the two channels as few prominent RUclipsrs have have done once they are famous for duel or triple categories of subjects :0)
It’s nice to know that even seasoned professionals frown at their camera when the shot isn’t coming out like you envisioned it in your head.
Love this vlog ❤

These are some of my most favourite photos ever ❤ They make me want to delve back into photography!
