Thats a belter Chris, what an inversion 👌I woke up on Kinder this morning with a wishy washy inversion mid cloud sort of thing but the main thing was its the first time i have woken up on a mountain when its not been pissin down for ages 🙏. How's Tom liking the Cricket ? I fancy one too, i think the size of the footprint of the Trail star is a bit too big for where i go but the Cricket seems more of a goer. I have the Duomid but i fancy the open door thing a bit more for summer months🤔
Thanks for watching Olan. Was an unbelievable morning to be on a mountain. Yeh Tom loves the cricket and really rates it. The trailstar is great and very versatile. Long as your sleeping bit is flat you can pitch it over rocks and everything man. The duo mid looks mint, I'd love to try one. Aye the weather hasn't been great lately has it man. Can't see it getting any better either, this poo British wether.
@@iamchriswhelan Glad you are both enjoying the tarps. From what information i have consumed i think you can get both of those tighter than the Duomid as it does tend to bow a bit and hit the sleeping bag although it is nice and lightweight and a good summer tent but when we do eventually get warmer temps it can feel a bit too warm for my liking. Looking forward to your next video 👍
@@Olan... Yeh man. I can get the trailstar very taught and it sheds wind class 👌 Camped on Cadair Idris summit last weekend and was quite windy and it held up strong. That's the next video but probs be another week or so before I get it on here. Thanks for the support 👊
Not much beats those views and conditions for a great hike and camp - I'm guessing you got some great photos from it as well. Shout out for Mrs Whelan and her amazing looking meals too. Great video Chris.
That was a great video mate, enjoyed that one. Thank you! Those drone shots were 👌🏼 as well... And that inversion was something else! Gained a new subscriber from me pal 👌🏼🤟🏼
Ey up mate just catching up on some of your videos, what an absolute treat that inversion was 😍 I’d be running about up there too haha. Absolutely epic morning bet you didn’t want to come back down.
I mind commenting on your photos on Facebook from this one. I camped the night before but plans changed and I couldn’t get out again. Forecast was looking very much cloud inversion territory. Watched a couple of yours already actually Chris, just forget to comment. Its a pretty class mountain for a pitch, especially if your going with a mate, loads of spots. Great video bud.
Thanks for the support matey. Definitely one of the best camps I've done this. I'm sometimes like that aswell I forgot to comment on some videos aswell haha. Catch you on the next one.
@@iamchriswhelan when I searched up your channel yesterday I realised I had watched a few of yours already like the one you did at ullswater using the boat. If your coming up again let me know and we can try and sort a camp, love meeting other likeminded and sharing stories and crap
Thanks for watching lad. Highly recommend this one. Mega views from up there. Ground is spot on mate, pegs go fully in and loads of places to pitch up there it's massive. Appreciate the support 👍
It's a real shame you three don't "know the score", but you should do! Group camping is not permitted in the Lake District, it's quite a simple request from the landowners. "It's like a football pitch up here", err no, it's more like a campsite actually. It is not "wild camping" in the Lake District, it's selfishly neglecting the right kindly given to you to camp on their land, which, if this behaviour continues from so many so called "wild campers", will eventually be taken away.
Listen Richard Jennings. I'm glad you took note of some of the things I said in the video coz that tells me you enjoyed it. Many thanks for your support 👍
Richard, does your life revolve around watching camping videos on youtube and commenting the same things over and over again? Your life must be that shit that you can’t help yourself but watch these videos and comment Loved every minute of this camp with the lads so don’t worry there will be MANY more camps to come exactly like this one In all seriousness though you are the definition of a tosser
