@@Jok3st3r Yeah this show is great about subverting your expectations when it comes to the characters, so it's funny that the character with the sterotypical dumb guy voice is unironically the smartest dude in the show.

I’m gonna say it, not only is The Devil a great villain, but I also found him very likable for being one. Whenever he was on screen I smiled. Kudos to you Luke Millington Drake, you really bring this character to life.
I wholeheartedly disagree. I really think the show's portrayal of The Devil just plain sucks. He is portrayed as an incompetent idiot rather than the intimidating looming threat he was in the game. He was a great villain in the game because he always wore that evil grin in every cutscene, showing he was confident that he could overpower the cup brothers if they tried to turn back on the deal they made with him, and he is only defeated because the boys actually FOUGHT him... and not easily, since he's a challenging boss fight. In the show, the Devil is just a buffoon. He starts off with promise in his intro scene, evilly grinning and singing his song. But once Cuphead gets away with his soul that he owes him, he's immediately annoyed and angry, and he's not even a looming threat because many episodes don't even acknowledge the Devil or Cuphead's soul debt, treating it like it never happened until there is an episode that revolves around it. And even then, the Devil is so easily thwarted every time that he doesn't even feel like a threatening villain. He's powerful, but he's incompetent, and therefore doesn't make for a great villain. The show really did the Devil dirty, in my opinion. And sadly, that's just one of the MANY problems I have with this show.
@@L.U.C.I.F.E.R- two examples being the first episode when cuphead lost at the carneval and he destroyed the entire place trying to get cuphead's soul, the other is he tried to take cuphead's soul but couldn't due to a sweater mugman made cuphead, he was also told that he can't cuz the boys had to paint the fence and promised cuphead would take off the sweater if devil would paint the fence for the boys. if you think about it, henchman should be one of the most powerful demons after the devil since he works for him, take that the devil has servre anger issue and can demolish and eat the so called 'strongest demons'. But henchman should've been working for the devil for a long time now, taking that he talks to his boss with the calmest tone ever and he looks up to his boss a lot to the point that he admire him. And, if he wasn't strong, henchman should've died long ago from all the constant burning and fire the devil shoots out when he's angry. Another thing is that he is a fan of King Dice's show, after King Dice fell from his throne of being the devil's 'number one' (which KD somehow got the title back juding by how he struts his way in the room and how he talks back to the devil), The devil *offered* to let henchman take over the show. Now, even if he did that to keep the soul coming, he could've gotten a professinal to do the job or open another way to do soul collecting (the devil might've shut down the show soon afterwards or hired a pro to do it since henchman was soon back to his side as a butler). IF the devil wanted to continue the high income of contestents on Roll The Dice, he would've given the job as host to someone who has at least some experiences, but he gave the job to henchman, which just declares they have some type of friendship going on here, or else the devil wouldn't have given Henchman a chance to be on the show, hell i don't even think henchman ever mentioned that he was a fan to the devil! He only told KD on screen while in the elevator, meaning that the devil either tuned in listening to the show with henchman or henchman just babbled it out while talking, both symbolizes that henchman holds some power being 'friends' with the all mighty devil. just a theory :) i just think Henchman deserves more attentention
tbh he was right, he did technically win fair and square with cuphead's soul but it was mugsy who put it back in and found a way to destroy the place and made the sweater for cuphead and then using it on the devil himself to burn him so badly that it took awhile for his fur to grow back. and he did lose at a game that you can't lose at so. I can see the frustration because he for ironically wise, did play the game fairly. This time the brother's kind of "cheated" lol this whole time throughout the series I actually felt bad for him cause he won fair and square if he didn't and he was the one cheating then I'd understand but he just wants to do his job xDD kind of weird to side with the devil lol
I like how in the beginning an instrumental version of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” is playing, feeding into The Devil’s rage at how Cuphead didn’t know “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”.

xDD well as stated in one episode he doesn't even know who elder kettle is so, lol. But he did kidnap Mugsy.....don't know why it was hard to do that any other time....lol
I was only 99.9% sure he was flamboyantly gay in season 1. Now I’m 1,000,000,000,000,000,000% sure because my GOODNESS. He has been an absolute delight to watch.
I didn’t count the zeroes by the way, looks like I’m 1 quintillion out of 100% sure. Kinda wish I went for the number google but that’s too many zeroes.
somehow, and i don't know how to explain this, but i feel like not a single character in this show is straight except for stickler??
I've always got the biggest Frank n Furter vibe off him, I like to think that was intentional.
@@Raintheartist3688 this makes no sense bruhh
Nah devil is not just fruity he’s an entire fruit by the foot 💀

Yknow, Gay? 💅
The friendship between Henchmen and The Devil is probably my favorite
I know the devil has angry issue but he couldn’t catch a break
literally best character in the show
1:06 devil your... ga-
*Ah Ah Ah Ah-Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah-Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah-Ah*
wasn't it obvious?
if you think about it, henchman should be one of the most powerful demons after the devil since he works for him, take that the devil has servre anger issue and can demolish and eat the so called 'strongest demons'.
I throwing everything at that cup!
Head!
Thank you, henchman...
@gr1mmr34per gaming What’s so dirty about that?
You know every time the devil is at a disadvantage in this show it's always because cuphead or mugman have something crazy over powered
0:39: this man radiates the grinch vibes rn
All fruity people are filled with rage and sass is what i've learned
Now if he would’ve taken Elder Kettle then it would be a problem.
the only person who can make the devil suffer is stickler
why do they have to always end it on a cliff hanger its a comedy 💀
At this point, I just feel bad for the devil. The poor guy is just trying to do his job.
It's not just about his job, it mainly about his special obsession for Cuphead soul which he perviously doesn't care about the expired soul.
tbh he was right, he did technically win fair and square with cuphead's soul but it was mugsy who put it back in and found a way to destroy the place and made the sweater for cuphead and then using it on the devil himself to burn him so badly that it took awhile for his fur to grow back. and he did lose at a game that you can't lose at so.
I can see the frustration because he for ironically wise, did play the game fairly. This time the brother's kind of "cheated" lol
this whole time throughout the series I actually felt bad for him cause he won fair and square if he didn't and he was the one cheating then I'd understand
but he just wants to do his job xDD
kind of weird to side with the devil lol
@@darnelljones1918
He did win it fair and square though 💀

He couldn’t name “twinkle twinkle little star” I mean who can’t name twinkle twinkle little star!!!!!!
The devil is probably one of the few 2d villains I love. He has so much personality to him, yet he isn't even that dynamic, if at all
I love how sassy he is from 2:26 to 2:47
I both love and hate but mostly just dislike the way they animate the devils fingers ngl but absolutely everything else abt the devil is 🔥 7:16
The fact henchman is scared of devil in the last scene kinda shows whatever potential he has is terrifying
can we appreciate that they actually took the time to animate something relevant in the book? if you pause at 0:14 you can read it
If you pause the video before the Devil starts to rip the book, you can see it talks about the invisible sweater from season 1.
3:06 🤣🤣🤣We all had that one annoying friend, right🤣🤣🤣
The devil and dice is too iconic , they needed more screen time
The Devil is my favorite character in The Cuphead Show, He's an example of the villains being the best characters
Not today
Can we PLEASE talk about "And look at the muscles on this guy~"?
I like how in the beginning an instrumental version of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” is playing, feeding into The Devil’s rage at how Cuphead didn’t know “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”.

« Wow. You blew up the biggest one. Great job. » So perfect 👌🤣🤣🤣
I love how the devil basically wants to kill everyone except Henchman. Fucking hilarious 🤣
I love henchmen. He’s stupid but he’s also lovable and cares about the Devil; as he does towards him.
He also reminds me of Soos which is an immediate plus.
The devil is such an iconic villain and that's why when it's his screentime, I scream and squeal out of excitement XD ✨ he's my fav character so far-
