The best part of the piano episode is the fact that Cuphead was not only ok with Mugman's attempt to murder him, but admitted that he would've done the same if the roles were reversed.
He's not dead. There would've been serious consequences. Also kettle gets crushed by a piano but doesn't even get to the hospital as he is totally ok, and he's around 60-70 years i think.
Considering how Mugman absolutely DESPISES Bowlboy, even inside Season 1, it really makes me wonder what Bowlboy had done in the past to cause Mugman to develop hatred against him.
In that episode he said since he lost his handle, “Im not Mugman anymore, Im BOWLBOY!” And then literally Bowlboy himself says that he looks swell which rubs more salt in the wound.
Considering he chased Mugman for miles just to tell him a nifty li'l detail of his day, there's some SERIOUSLY creepy obsession going on. I don't think Bowlboy is just... not that popular, but we can't be sure WHAT it is. It's unsettling, at any rate.
I have a headcanon that sugarland has multiple entries throughout Inkewell Isle, and sugarland targets children that are roaming alone without supervision, opening the closest entry from them. As for Bowlboy I just think he idolizes Cuphead and is not necessarily scheming to get closer to Mugman, if anything he seemed to want to get Cuphead all by himself.
Bowlboy was freaky but I also thought he was the most entertaining of the new villains, just completely outrageous and unhinged. The part where that tiny pebble shatters his face had me in stitches!
I ADORED Mugman this season. He is cute, bubbly and shy on his personality but honestly if any of us had a brother like Cuphead constantly ruinig everything, making our life harder and not having a break from them, anyone would go insane after dealing with that every single day, every day of your life. He might be kind of a psycho but I can't blame him at all. At this point seems more likely a self-defense mechanism.
My favourite Mugman moment(s) have to be these two, in this order: 1.The Mental Breakdown 2. The Attempted Murder, specifically the part where he goes insane after the Ice Cream man talks about the Flavour Of The Day again.
Cuphead Fan Theory: Baroness Von Bon Bon is an invader of Sugarland who committed an ethnic cleansing of the dimension’s native inhabitants due to her cannibalistic sweet tooth and the curse to never leave is her punishment.

I think it has do with the soul contracts from the game. Maybe when she young she asked for a ton of sweets and she made a deal with the devil but he put a curse so that she would be trapped with treats forever. That's my best guess anyway

Mugman totally stole the spotlight in season 2. He stole it so much the devil got jealous and kidnapped him. I swear, I NEED to see an evil Mugman in season 3.

I loved the Baroness Von Bon Bon episode so much. She was such a fun antagonist to watch, her design and the way she was animated were so entertaining and her voice actor really did an amazing job at portraying her. Tbh I never really liked Elder Kettle in Season 1 and Season 2 didn’t change my opinion about him much. Mugman did actually kill Ludwig by dropping the piano on him. And before anyone says they didn’t confirm he died, in the original script they did say that but it was cut for being too dark. So until further notice I say Ludwig did die
I *loved* Baroness von Bon Bon. Her actress did a spectacular job, and made her delightfully unique. The fact every character had a degree of insanity made them all the more colorful.
Ill be honest I love bonbon and think her va did an amazing job with her along with the animatiors decisions in facial expressions. The two combined make a fantastically entertaining character. The "call me the" joke makes me smile or laugh every time I hear it... The way its said... The pause directly after... Chefs kiss.
Other than the moment you've mentioned, a mugman's quote that definitely lives rent free in my head is "Elder Kettle, you're a genius! Cuphead can't play in the recital if HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY HANDS"
Gee, that face... you all know what Mugman face I'm talking about. THAT face... It's probably the most relatable cartoon moment ever and it's only a single freeze frame.
I think this might be a forshadowing to season three, and how mugman will change drastically. And I want to point out that Mugman's morals and standards are pretty much ambiguous. We think he'd be the nice guy/ shy sweetheart trope, but he turns out to have pretty blurred views on whats right or wrong. And as the series progresses he becomes more feral and agressive, but also more bitter and and uncaring. But I also want to talk about something I found interesting that being the opening of the show which might be related to forshadowing the ending season. The lyrics I found interesting was the talk of there being "good, and bad, and inbetween". It could just be random lyrics that mean nothing. But I think it forshadows the characters roles in the final "season" (which is just a cut off chunk of season 1 because of netflix being stupid), Cuphead, wanting to save his brother (and will most definitely get character development) will be the good, the Devil is obviously the bad, and Mugman? He's obviously deteriorating in not only his mentality, but also his sense of empathy and (I want to point out) innocence, so he's the "inbetween". Not bad but morally ambiguous and possibly brutal and brash in achieving whatever goals he has (Probably protecting his brother or something like that) I just wanted to point that out. But hey that just a theory, a FILM THEORY.
i'll never stop repeating it until someone actually gets it. mugman is not a psycopath. we are forgetting all the good he did in S2 because of rage moments. he wasn't trying to kill cuphead or anyone, in cartoon logic getting launched with rockets or even getting crushed by a piano doesn't mean death (you call mugman a psycopath because he "wanted" to launch cuphead with rockets, but are we even counting that cuphead ends up launching him instead?), anyway we even get an example of this in S1 when kettle gets crushed by his own trap but is totally ok. we are forgetting how much mugman cares for his brother, do i really need to make a list of how many things he's done for him in S1 and 2? about the ice cream man he didn't wanna killl him, he feels guilty about every thing. for the scene with the crab he clearly just wanted to scare them off because of the promise, he was just trying to get the sweets back i wouldn't even count that as a moment of insanity. i've made comments about this in many other videos calling mugman a psycopath, not just because i like the character but because the pressure he has in the whole show, i'm sure some of you noticed he goes through a lot. with this i mean i'm also trying to defend people who get blamed to have a short temper but actually have a lot in mind. thanks for reading, have a nice day
Thank you, finally someone who doesn't take away the context from the instances we've seen. I really don't see why people overthink this so much, because as you pointed out, it's folowing cartoon logic. Kind of unrelated but I have to say that the whole " I scream man" episode was very morally messed up on a moral level imo, Mugman feels regret for what he did only after his imaginary version of Calamaria rejects him instead of when the poor ice cream man cries, screams and feels bad when he did nothing wrong but just try to be himself and goes away with sad music. Like sure he was being annoying, but he wasn't doing it on purpose and there was nothing wring with his hat or his positive attitude, but Mugman litterally made him go away depressed and feeling like thewe was something wrong with him, which broke my heart only for the the ice cream man to try to kill him like Mugman and annoy him tas a revenge what the heck whyy, couldn't they have just talked it out?!? 😢😭😭
@@puffersaur6422 well, at least the ice cream man wasn't really depressed, after all he chased mugman only to thank him, pretty funny by my point of view😂
I completely agree with all this. I dont think of mugman as a psychopath but I do feel he is noticeably more quick to anger in this batch of episodes. and I totally feel it's because of everything he's dealt with in the series thus far. now I know my boy mugsy has flaws of his own, but I totally feel that the weight of having to care for and protect himself and his brother is crushing him at least little. heck, in Jailbroken cuphead heavily implies that he _relies_ on mugman to be the voice of reason (which is real funny because cuphead grows increasingly annoyed with mugman throughout the season for worrying too much lmao), so I wouldnt be surprised if mugman secretly blamed himself for every dangerous situation they've ever gotten into
interestingly i think cuphead had actual character development between seasons 1 and 2. Iirc there was an episode in season 1 where Mugman starts to gain confidence because of goggles and then he realizes he was confident all along or something idk, and in this season you see him do take a lot more risks, like the crab fight that you mentioned as well as his other more questionable actions. He is still cautious, analytic, and overprotective, but not to the extreme that he once was. I love mugman in this show.
Mugman is now my favorite and most relatable character because he was usually cautious and shy but can immediately go feral at any point. And that’s why I love him 😌
I like how the characters that appear in this season have more of a personality like the ice creamen being a very unhinged person, I think this show is a good show from the personality the characters give off, king dice the goofy way he acts.
I can tell that Mugman has his bizarre moments not on his own, but because of the things that happen around him. Like, I know how it feels like to be bothered at the time when you just want peace and silence or when you feel irritated or frustrated when your brother does what you explained a thousand times so he wouldn't do it. Even I have done several similar things because I was angry. In the end Mugman just doesn't like to be bothered to do what he thinks is right. Even if that doesn't justify your actions
7:49 don't forget he tried to amputate his brother and on what elder kettle said it implies that it isn't the first time he attempted to cut cupheads arms.
my favorite Mugman moment is in the episode shown at 8:20 he completely loses his temper, goes literally insane and tries to kill the muffin man, for a second time.
8:07 more sociopath, as he would need to be generally calm and collected why'll doing those things, meaning he's someone whos impulsive when Driven to a point, has emtions but lowered empathy. pychopaths have no emtions so they get good at imtating it instead, thats why they're harder to track.
I believe that his psychotic behavior is foreshadowing him being turned into a demon in season three. Similar to the bad ending of the game itself. Personally, I see those particular episodes as dreams/non-canon events because there’s just something that rubs them the wrong way with me. But whether canon or not, still psychotic, and still demon-like.
I absolutely love love love the maniacal rage Mugman goes into, it's so insanely entertaining with how well the animators did it justice. His expressions live rent free in my head, too. My favourite episode, just because of that, is 100% the ice cream muffin episode. Regardless of how many more seasons we get of the show, I'm looking forward to the day of Mugman's kill count videos, of course including the lists of the murder attempts that he failed. It's going to be so fun, I can't wait for the next season.
I like how they definitely went into the scary aspect of the cartoons they were inspired by. It’s cool, and really creates a more complex, more morbid, and more interesting show, IMO.
Moogman became my favourite this season BECAUSE he got crazy. He lost it and he shined and he was the star. He outshined Cuphead by far as the interesting brother. I kina liked him b4 because he was the underdog but now he rocks
The elder kettle spider walk scares me so bad I start laughing while having a heart attack Like, I'm literally scared out my mind and it makes me can't stop laughing
The ice cream episode would also have Mugman use a slingshot to silence a woodpecker and maybe a squirrel, but it got cut for being a bit too mean. The makers of this show love their Twitter.
You know Bowl Boys voice actor is amazing when you can’t tell that he’s the same person that voiced both Reaper from Overwatch and lord Saladin from Destiny 2
3:00 Pogobro ran out of clips from the cuphead show for the backround and used clips from the "Never Gonna Give You Up" music video instead this cracked me up
The bowlboy and the mugman sections makes sense because in the episode when mugman's handle broke off mugman said that he doesn't want to become bowlboy
My favourite Mugman moment: Ice Cream Man: Now, about the flavour of the day? Mugman: *STOP!* I have HAD IT with your flavour of the day! And your music! And your face! And your STUPID, CROOKED HAT! Ice Cream Man: _Gasps_ Mugman: Turn off the music, fix that hat, and GET OUTTA HERE!
very nice video, i love moog man and i play as him so this season was incredible for me. My favourite scene with Mugman is where he fights giant crab and "There is always glue"
I'm suprised you didn't mention, the voice actor of Bowl boy is the same voice actor as Reaper from Overwatch. Very impressive voice as well, there's a little reaper inside Bowl boy
dude his face was my favorite when he broke the legs and said *there's always glue * but the legs when into the sea that face lives rent free in my head
Maybe Bonbon stays in sugarland as a consequence of the 2 rules. After all, if you tell anyone about sugarland, you automatically broke a rule, and based on elder kettle's reaction, if you're candy, people will want to eat you. So she stays in sugarland to avoid the temptation of talking to people, because we have no idea how vague you have to be to avoid the curse, and to avoid being eaten
For Baroness Von Bon Bon & Candyland it could be summed up as part of the Devil's contract in which the sweet deal turned out to be a curse in disguise. Sorta like a variation of the King Midas Curse instead of gold it's sweets (and no need of touching things.) Bon Bon wanted all the sweets, and the Devil gave to her in spades (aces even.)
Like, my favourite mugman moments are: In the first episode of ALL series, that while cuphead says how "cool" was the day, mugman were like - "And you still owe your soul to the devil" and second moment, is the funniest, in the 2nd season, in the brineybeard and cala's episode, when mugman says: "Hey look, A starfish! Woah woah woah! Cuphead: y o u b r o k e h i s l e g s. Mugman: Umm, theres always glue! And then mugman makes that smile, THAT SMILE, that, even how many times i watch it, more i laugh soo hard!
I'm not sure if it's been said, but at the end of the ice cream episode when MugMan finally loses it, I'm about 45% sure that him saying "he dies" is not MugMan repeating what the muffin said. It's MugMan deciding the muffin's fate.
Mugman can laugh like a maniac at s2 episode 7💀 But the episode mugman went all out it gotta be episode 6 he is willing to end the ice cream man's life and went crazy after spoiling his book I can say season 2 is a lot darker than s1 and I like it, we all thought mugman is a light hearted mug
Its always the quiet ones you need to watch out for. Also the fact that his super meter card is a spade I'm not too surprised that Mugman is like this in the show. Since the symbol of spade is death.
Honestly, I think Mugman and Devil will DEFINITELY get along. Like both of them has the tendency to go extreme of things. What if they actually do in the next season?

He is still cautious, analytic, and overprotective, but not to the extreme that he once was.
I love mugman in this show.
if bowlboy ever comes to the games, he Will be a full final/secret boss.
Secret Boss seems more fitting for him. While I can see him having potential as a side antagonist I don't think he quite fits as a main antagonist
Don't forget about the moment when Mugman attempts to cut Cuphead's hands
ikr “What have I told you about using my hedge trimmers to mutilate your brother?”
All of the best people are crazy.
@@sunnythehedgehog5026 idk if you were referencing this but I immediately thought of Mad Hatter by melanie martinez lol
Cartoon logic: no.
To relate it to Stranger Things, Sugarland is the Inkwell Isle's upside-down and Baroness is Vecna.
And no one talks about how Kettle only cares about Mugman using his own cutters to mutilate Cuphead, not about specifically mutilating him.
I mean Mugsy said it himself. "Being on the inside changes a mug."
I love how he’s just child squidward now
“I know my brother. and if he’s not ‘down here’, then he’s not dead.”
I think my favourite moment from moogmaan is when he literally tries to CHOP OFF CUPHEAD’S HANDS…
I can relate.
Don't forget he tried to cut of Cupheads Hands
haha yess Mugman is so bloodthirsty
7:49 don't forget he tried to amputate his brother and on what elder kettle said it implies that it isn't the first time he attempted to cut cupheads arms.
Almost every character in the Cuphead show had lost ther sanity where is the mental asylum boss when you need them
"Cuphead can't play in the recital...If he doesn't have aNY HANDS!!" - My favourite Mugman line
“Mugman! What have I told you about using my garden sheers to mutilate your brother?!”
What makes it even funnier was that it was implied by Elder Kettle that Mugman tried to do it once before.
My vacuum when my mom says she'll be home in 10 seconds and I have not cleaned: 4:13
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND WHY DOES IT MAKE ME LAUGH?!? 😭
2:56 dude literally rickrolled all viewers
How did I not notice that?
Honestly I’m surprised it took this long for Mugman to snap. In his position, I would’ve gone insane ages ago.
My favorite Mugman moment is when he drops BB and he made the funniest face in the whole show
my favorite Mugman moment is in the episode shown at 8:20 he completely loses his temper, goes literally insane and tries to kill the muffin man, for a second time.
8:07 more sociopath, as he would need to be generally calm and collected why'll doing those things, meaning he's someone whos impulsive when Driven to a point, has emtions but lowered empathy.
pychopaths have no emtions so they get good at imtating it instead, thats why they're harder to track.
Both Stay in Loss of Emphathy, Mugman Has a Little, but Still loses all of it as soon as MuffinMan Spoiled his favorite story.
Pretty sure the Baroness' skin is made of bubblegum
So does that mean we can eat her too?!
My favorite mugman man moment is when he drops captain brineybierds legs and make that weird face after the the water comes and takes his legs
an instant classic moment!
This is my favorite moment ever.
Every time I see elder kettle I say:
“This man should not be a guardian of children”
I really do too lol
I like how they definitely went into the scary aspect of the cartoons they were inspired by. It’s cool, and really creates a more complex, more morbid, and more interesting show, IMO.
Moogman became my favourite this season BECAUSE he got crazy. He lost it and he shined and he was the star. He outshined Cuphead by far as the interesting brother. I kina liked him b4 because he was the underdog but now he rocks
The ice cream man is one of my favorite characters in the show he’s so funny 😂. And his theme song is fire 🔥 lol.
My favorite moment of Mugman is his mental breakdown and jumpscare
The elder kettle spider walk scares me so bad I start laughing while having a heart attack
Like, I'm literally scared out my mind and it makes me can't stop laughing
“Elder kettle is a straight up Eldridge horror”
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK
6:38 It says something before monster
Tiktok cringe compilation i think
The ice cream episode would also have Mugman use a slingshot to silence a woodpecker and maybe a squirrel, but it got cut for being a bit too mean.
The makers of this show love their Twitter.
You know Bowl Boys voice actor is amazing when you can’t tell that he’s the same person that voiced both Reaper from Overwatch and lord Saladin from Destiny 2
My favorite part with mugman is this part 8:48
The mental breakdown has got to be my favorite Mugman moment lol
"NOBODY ASKED YOU BOWL BOY"
Was definitely my favorite Mugman moment
Same
3:00 Pogobro ran out of clips from the cuphead show for the backround and used clips from the "Never Gonna Give You Up" music video instead
this cracked me up
The bowlboy and the mugman sections makes sense because in the episode when mugman's handle broke off mugman said that he doesn't want to become bowlboy
Bowl boy is the only reason that I skipped episode 4 of the second season.
I think my favorite Mugsy moment would be.... trying to kill cups with the piano
My favourite Mugman moment:
Ice Cream Man: Now, about the flavour of the day?
Mugman: *STOP!* I have HAD IT with your flavour of the day! And your music! And your face! And your STUPID, CROOKED HAT!
Ice Cream Man: _Gasps_
Mugman: Turn off the music, fix that hat, and GET OUTTA HERE!
STOP I HAD HAD IT WITH YOUR FLAVOR OF THE DAY
Just here to remind you I love your videos you're amazing keep it up
POG-obro
My favorite Mugman moment is his ALL his funny faces in the episode "High Seas Adventure!"
Mugman is adapting Elder Kettle's manners on this season.
Despite how chaotic Cuphead is, he actually has committed the least amount of crimes out of all the main characters.
Mugman: Attempted Murder
Elder Kettle: Pyromaniac
Chalice: Thief
If anything, Cuphead's the only one who's soul is going upwards.
At first I thought bowl boy was the devil and he was just disguised to try and get Cuphead
very nice video, i love moog man and i play as him so this season was incredible for me.
That expression mugman gave us when he dropped brineybeard is the best scene in the entire show
ʸᵒᵘ ᵇʳᵒᵏᵉ ʰⁱˢ ˡᵉᵍˢ
Mugman was playing Dr. Kahl's Robot. That makes sense why he is insane
Like, my favourite mugman moments are: In the first episode of
ALL series, that while cuphead says how "cool" was the day, mugman were like - "And you still owe your soul to the devil" and second moment, is the funniest, in the 2nd season, in the brineybeard and cala's episode, when mugman says: "Hey look, A starfish! Woah woah woah! Cuphead: y o u b r o k e h i s l e g s. Mugman: Umm, theres always glue! And then mugman makes that smile, THAT SMILE, that, even how many times i watch it, more i laugh soo hard!
I Loved when Mugman Actually Tried to Cut off Cuphead’s Hands, it was the most Blatant he was in his Lunatic Plottingg
if i had a nickel for every time mugman tried to kill cuphead, id have 2 nickles. which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
The way I see since the Dirk Danger episode, Mugman finally has the courage... to be insane.
You forgot to mention the creepy music that plays whenever Bowlboy speaks
Mugman was basically losing he’s whole fricken mind is this season
2:05
Me spotting someone to explain the whole Fnaf Lore
Favorite scene HAS to be Mugman's absolute breakdown about the book. Definitely
3:27 Man I just thought he was putting the classic "Tomorrow I buy you x thing" and hoping the children forgets about it
I'm not sure if it's been said, but at the end of the ice cream episode when MugMan finally loses it, I'm about 45% sure that him saying "he dies" is not MugMan repeating what the muffin said.
It's MugMan deciding the muffin's fate.
Jesus Christ Mugman
Lol
Imagine dying from an ice cream cone
would be one of the deaths of all time
@@Pogobro true
ikr
Mugman can laugh like a maniac at s2 episode 7💀
But the episode mugman went all out it gotta be episode 6 he is willing to end the ice cream man's life and went crazy after spoiling his book
I can say season 2 is a lot darker than s1 and I like it, we all thought mugman is a light hearted mug
Favorite Mugman Moment:
when he breaks brineybeards legs and makes the face. How could it not me. But the watercolor one is pretty close behind.
Its always the quiet ones you need to watch out for.
Also the fact that his super meter card is a spade I'm not too surprised that Mugman is like this in the show. Since the symbol of spade is death.
My favourite moogmun moment is where he makes a pie for the mail man and says mugman, mailman, mailman, mugman
Honestly, I think Mugman and Devil will DEFINITELY get along. Like both of them has the tendency to go extreme of things. What if they actually do in the next season?
Itd be like Marcy from amphibia and I'd love it
Pretty stupid theory
It would most likely be the devil turning mugman into the evil mugman in the bad ending of cuphead which, tbh, im all in for
