+ben guy i think they can eject fans but in this case with 2 secs left on clock, what is it going to achieve? I also wanted to hear this addressed though
+ben guy you have a 7 ft man runnin into a 5 foot woman makin her lose her balance, she instinctively grabbed his arm so she wouldnt fall down, nothin intentional..
If there is anything I takeaway from these, it's realizing how much shit refs have to process at any given time, especially during crunch time where they have to do their best robot impression and tune out influences coming at them from every which way, let alone anything they were feeling internally from their own thoughts. Like put the average person that comments on these in the shoes of an nba ref, and they'd probably break down into the fetal position within the first couple of minutes from all the pressure.
+Kaoren717 The thing is, after you've reffed so many games, that pressure would be gone. I know the games are close, but there are 3 officials watching the play and the reluctance to make a call by either one of them is what made that game what it was. Games in the NBA have a standard for good officiating and this was way below that standard...
BasketballPownage Sorry, but life doesn't work like that. Unless you've actually been a ref, I'm not really going to take your account on what it would be like over an actual ref, the closer to the level of the NBA, the better. Oversimplification of something you've never experienced, not so smart son.
Kaoren717 I hate people who always believe they have this imaginary assumed advantage in any RUclips comments sections. Nobody appreciates that, talk to me like a human equal, not a peon. I'm not oversimplifying the job, i'm simply saying this... I've been watching NBA basketball for 10 years and not once has the NBA come back to say that 3 missed calls (let alone 5) occurred in the last couple seconds of a game. And that is the standard we hold our officiating to. This was way out of line, and some of those calls the refs are looking directly at the foul occurring. It was hesitation and reluctance to make a call that ruined that game.
Let's go based off what happened first. Ginobili had his foot out of bounds which is a delay of game and would result in a technical foul on Ginobili and a free throw for OKC. For all you Spurs fans thinking you got screwed, think again it was in fact OKC who almost got robbed
I don't think Spurs/Thunder fans are upset about the outcome, I think it's the lack of officiating that transpired. The Refs in this game blew their whistle all throughout the 47:46.5 of the game, but swallowed it whole in the last 13.5 seconds. Calls could've gone both ways, but the fact that NOTHING was called is what makes fans incensed.
+Jarrod Castillo yea but refs tend not to call anything during the last few seconds of the game. Its like they are ready to go home and can't wait to get off work lol.
***** That's the thing though. SO many offenses were committed in those 13.5 by both teams and the fact that NONE were called is what makes it even more egregious.
+Jonathan Lee exactly what I was thinking - I hope NBA staff put a fix soon 'cos if we're seeing all of this fuss for a game 2 - honestly not changing the outcome of this very game - I don't even wanna think what something like this could raise in the final series.
+Tom Adamek Cause the Thunder does not play good basketball. They have the talent and that's the only thing that propelled them to that record. They will never win a championship.
"Ginobili's a flopper too," wow.... As a spurs fan this makes so much more sense about why so many fouls have been missed. They just assume people are faking and then the players have to exaggerate even more to highlight the foul
Eduardo Manrique Well thats understandable for any coach to appreciate great teams but even upon poor execution, he somehow turns a blind eye to wrongdoings.
+ADAJ3 That's because OKC's plays are extremely stagnant late in games. OKC turns solely to the great individual play of durant and westbrook to make contested and low percentage shots, unlike the spurs who use ball movement to get easy looks. Many basketball fans appreciate when a team uses ball movement and set plays to get easy open looks. Durant and Westbrook won't make all these contested and difficult shots, which is why can't win a chip and have lost so many games in the 4th quarter this season.
Imagine the “Leaving the playing surface” rule, Boban would be the best inbound defender ever. 😂 you move a step to the left, big right arm, move to the right, big left arm, you jump, you get chin. I mean, it would be 5 second violation every time! 😂😂😂😂
why do we have a different set of rules for the last minute in the game...if curry gets touched on the wrist in the middle of the game its a foul but you can throw a bow from out of bounds at the end? stop swallowing whistles....if you just call the first and all fouls this wouldn't happen
coach nick, I got love for you but you're clearly biased here. "yeah well ginobili steps on the baseline... it's a penalty, but ehh... it's not a big deal. yeah Leonard grabbed Westbrooks jersey but so what? just a little grab.... Danny green fouled durant, but it was a clean strip, so who cares? Patty Mills fouled Steven Adams before the ball was in bounds... whatever, tough shit... but did YOU SEE THAT ELBOW?! OH MY GOD AND IBAKA GRABBING ALDRIDGES JERSEY! AGREGIOUS! SHAME ON YOU REFS!" I was highly pissed when I saw the elbow from waiters, but when I saw everything the spurs did in conjunction, and got away with, it is what it is.
+SerlingPictures it always seems biased I when you're a fan of the other team, unfortunately. One toe on the line would never get called. The Danny Green strip was actually clean... If you feel that Ibaka's Jersey grabbing didn't give him an great advantage, then I'll shrug and say "OK"
+BBALLBREAKDOWN there's a list of all the missed calls that has been posted , you can then see that the refs missed many calls on both sides, moreso for okc. stop with with the bias
+BBALLBREAKDOWN I was rooting for the spurs and really pissed when this happened. but when you break down the 13 seconds, I think the spurs got away with a lot and also had a chance at posession. if the refs called ginobili for the toe on the line, it would surprise no one, because it's a rule. it would be just nit picky. the elbow I'll agree was the worst non call I've seen in a while.
+BBALLBREAKDOWN you are so biased. if ginobili was where he should have been waiters would have had a much better view to be able to get the ball in. the refs shouldve called ginobili who clearly had his arms and foot over the line a few times straight away and okc shouldve got a tech foul and the ball back.
Looking good with the glasses coach. Man I'm sick of this swallow the whistle on the last plays crap. Everyone says let them play until your own team gets screwed.
Incidental contact with Leonard???? Are you kidding me NBA? He grabbed his t-shirt and pulled. The only reason Kahwi didn't move is because of his strenght and because Ibaka had Aldridge to worry about on the other side.
My main issue is that 4 of the 5 incorrect calls revolved around the inbound before the ball was in play and none of the officials called any of them. Ginobli/Waiters/Mills/Leonard all committed fouls and the refs should have called at least of them and blown. This is obvs before the Spurs fast break and the general outcome and it's a hard job I know, but what were the refs looking at on the inbound. The ball is still, they literally have to be checking the players, 1 ref is about a metre away and maybe you think he misses Ginobli stepping on the line, but there is no way he misses the Waiters call. The other refs are meant to be surveying the court, and they don't call anything. That is worrying, and with all the bad officiating this postseason, I think refs are choking. They don't have the balls to make the call. I'm all for letting them play but we're not talking ticky tack fouls, we're talking pretty blatant calls. If more refs is the answer, they need to get more fast. But something has to change, cos this postseason has been beyond bad
I always thought the rules were that you had to be about a meter away from the inbounder. So that he has room. Because Manu is basicly over the line with his hands. Making it damn near impossible to inbound.
+Plague Doc did you two bums not watch the video? he said foot on the line would and should never get called AND his hands DIDNT cross the imaginary line. Pay attention you schmuck
+The Last Prophet Yeah, Ronnie clearly stated its a violation, but its not usually called, because it usually doesn't happen. In fact, he stated a RULE WAS CREATED because players would take the delay of game violation ON PURPOSE so they could see the offensive scheme of the other team. A rule was then put in place to make this an automatic tech in the final 2 minute of the play.
Poor Spurs, they got screwed games 7 last year too by the "clock" when Kawahi had an open dunk to kill them in round 1, now losing home court cuz of this mess? (Granted they didn't play well but could have squeaked it)
+Robe Liam Yepp. Illegal screens happen about 80% of the time in crunch time and isnt called. If I was a ref, I'd call it. Sure the fans would hate me. but I'd be doing the job i'm getting paid for. To enforce the rules. it's almost as if a cop would let you speed because its closing in on the end of his shift.
+SadisticSarcasm They had a 3-1 with a 7 footer guarding 3 capable ball handlers. Even if the fast break broke down, Spurs still had the chance to call a timeout.
Coach, I was hoping you would do this to clear things up. Thanks! Also, what would have been called if the grab by the fan on Adams affected the game in any way?
no coach, imo this is standard nba reffing ineptitude, highlighted only coz it was last 13.5 secs of a playoff game. ffs ask ronnie how his shitty refs miss a 16 step lay up and it makes highlights packages etc (the regular season), and when was the last 3 sec call on the offence. worst refs in a pro league, and not just usa pro sports, for ineptitude and bias for stars.
I am a Spurs fan but I know that this play didn't affect the outcome cause my Spurs were behind the whole game. HOWEVER, "letting them play" is always going to go against the offense because they still have to put the ball in the hole. Just sayin'.
Coach Nick, Another great video. I thought the most bizarre no call was the fan grabbing Steven Adams jersey when he was trying to defend Mill's shot, preventing him from getting back in the game. What should have been the call on that? Thanks coach.
+david z It's so odd to see. I mean its not hte players fault. And fan interactions happen. I wonder if possiblym oving back court seats would be an option.
+YT Icy how the fuck are you that dumb? Did you not hear them? Manu would of had a tech and they would of had free throws and a possession so fuck outta here dumbass
+Josh Johnson "proper breakdown" lol what do you want him to say? thunder offense is elementary... thunder had their game plan, ran in as best they could and still only won by 1 point on a blown call. not to mention SA flat out having a terrible shooting night.
BBALLBREAKDOWN great video though. this was really interesting to take a look at. a lot going on in this sequence, and a lot to think about with regard to how games are called at the end. especially given the recency of the controversial no-call for wade at the end of game 6 in that series
But even if leaving the playing surface isn't interpreted to say you can't jump and throw, did not Waiters leave the playing surface (out of bounds surface). Look how he lands inbounds. I think this rule was written so terribly so the NBA could deny culpability and enforce it against certain teams in a manner to their liking.
Waiters touching Ginobli with the ball while he's standing out of bounds, should have been called "out of bounds" and resulted in a turnover to San Antonio. The ball touching the other player should have put the ball in play. If you touch a player standing out of bounds, that ball is dead.
+BBALLBREAKDOWN No, saying that, Coach, is like suggesting that all this mess is all ok, because they still got A chance to win. This is hopefully something the NBA can learn from and thanks for Getting Ronnie Nunn again and again for us, Coach Nick! Ronnie's last comment is the real take home from this debacle. Stop swallowing the whistle late and call these sorts of things all game and all season and players won't be grabbing jerseys in the scrum and trying to get away with "savvy veteran moves" and the beauty of the game will come to the fore. If you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar and it costs your team the win, then players would stop doing it... as much.
+knightofdreamz So, you're saying that if they swallowed their whistles for the last 8 minutes the CORRECT thing to do is swallow them for the last 13 seconds as well? That at least three players were grabbing their opponents, all not called, tells you that the refereeing is broken. Contra the video, the first thing that happened and should have been called is Mills grabbing Adams around the waist. It was just blatant and went on for several seconds, some ref must have seen it and decided it wasn't worth calling. But, BS, to that. Adams was the easy pass target and if Waiters had his head on straight (what coach in his right mind entrusts Waiters with the ball in that situation???) that's where he would have thrown the ball. Ginobili's toe could easily have gone unnoticed, but the ref who didn't call Waiter's forearm needs to be disciplined. It was blatant and Waiters positioned himself to do it before doing it -- there's no excuse for not seeing it. And the jersey grabbings by Leonard and Ibaks should simply be called rather than trying to figure out how much it affected play. Nunn has that right, for once.
+knightofdreamz Nope. Getting the calls right is the key to a good ref. Consistently bad is not a good thing. Agreed, it's a problem if the refs only start making calls in the last two minutes. But saying they SHOULD stay "horrible" is no answer whatsoever. It's always too late to start reffing right if you didn't start at the tipoff, but it's never too early.
+Di M ginobli stepped over the line first...it should be technical foul thudner gets ft and the ball....just like in 2013 finals when duncan came in when he wasnt allowed to in game 6 the heat should have been given a ft and the ball....the spurs cheat a lot
was there non-calls? of course, but it was equally on both ends. If the ref wouldve make any of the calls on either the ginobili cross the bound or waiter shoveling, then all of us would be complaining about the Ref deciding the result of the game instead letting the players play it out.... give them a break man.
In fairness about the foot on the line thing, he says it's not a big deal, but then why is it so much of a big deal on a 3 pt shot? They'll stop the game to review in the last 2 minutes. Should be the same principle
What kind of stupid rule allows a team to pick their shooter and keep the ball while no time goes off the clock? That's excessive; fouling a player without the ball before inbounds.
+FavreianVengeance Why would time go off the clock if the ball hasn't been inbounded? And Nunn explained the reason for making it a tech -- didn't you watch the video? Making the shooter a player who can actually hit free throws further discourages the unnecessary delay of game tactic.
There are a lot ob "maybe" calls but the the only "musst" call is the violation/foul call on waiters. The other things happen in every game an most times the refs wouldn´t call them.
I was expecting you'd do this breakdown cos it was totally a very bad call, so bad I'd compare you to my physics teacher back in high school with that glasses (no disrespect intended). PS: what happened to the goatee coach? ;-)
+Real As It Gets Actually, surprisingly enough, I saw 2 illegal screens called against them within 3 minutes, which is more than they've ever gotten in a single game.
Manu's foot was on the line you can see it on the starters video if you can't see it here, they still got the ball and blew it so who's to say they would of scored if it was a called. Kawhi grabbed Russ's jersey Patty basically huge Steven Adams before that so suck it up spurs fans you should of called a timeout when you stole the ball back..
Ikr and Coach Nick saying it's okay to step on the line while somebody is inbounding is straight up bullshit. So if I'm dribbling the ball on the baseline it's ok to step on the line and not get a turnover? No it's not ok so why should Manu stepping on the line be consider ok?
+ZuffyG I disagree with Nick but one thing you have to consider is that refs determine if there is an advantage. it's sort of why some travels don't get called cause it doesn't really affect the game.
No self respecting ref would've called that hold on Mills when it was having no tangible effect on the play. I think the NBA nitpicked in an effort to take the onus off an obviously bad no-call on Waiters.
+Daryl E That's the only excuse for the ref -- that he wasn't sure any contact was made. But he should have seen it. It was right in front of him, two feet away!
+orvcharl1 Again, your theory would hold water if he didn't turn around and say Mills should have been called for the hold on Steve and 2 ft's plus the ball should have been awarded.
+Wiz Bud 9:58 He definitely wasn't as adamant about it being a huge foul with "2 FTs plus the ball" like YOU'RE trying to make him out to be. All he said was basically, "yea, I guess I can see it, and most people would agree that it was a foul." If he sees that, then he should see Ginobili's violation was a technical too...the NBA SAID it was. He can't acquiesce to THAT one because it basically neutralizes every other play on the list if it was called......and everyone knows that Coach Spurs-Fan is a Spurs fan. If you pay attention to his release history, he's not especially fond of the Thunder either; so his opinion on the Ginobili violation and willingness to argue with the NBA's official report doesn't come as a surprise.
+orvcharl1 I've watched Nick for a while. It's no secret he is a fan of the Spurs organisation. What they represent through their 'team' first concepts, a group of professional athletes sacrificing for 'TEAM', is like porn to a coach. Especially one that works with the youth. OKC's tendency to play 'your turn, my turn' is the stuff that drives youth coaches crazy. With that being said, there have been plenty of videos where Nick has heaped praise upon OKC and its players. You make it sound like he is anti OKC. Well, I never got that impression ever. Anti Scott Brooks offensive schemes, yes. Anti OKC, Pro Spur ? More like, Pro team basketball, Anti anything not taking advantage of the team concept.
+Wiz Bud Ok, please link me those videos. The "plenty of videos" where he "heaps praise" LOL. I don't think you've been watching Coach Nick as long as I have. For every good OKC video, there's 5 about how Westbrook is a moron.
+orvcharl1 lol. Westbrook has had to grow as a player. Pointing out the flaws in an UBER talented player to express the potential for said player is par for the course for a coach. To be fair, Nick has never said Westbrook was trash. Just that he needed to grow as a player. As for the strides made by OKC as it pertains to team ball, the 4th quarter collapses of the regular season fly in the face of that argument. Even the OKC press complain that the offense is still predictable. You cannot expect a video showing the offensive strides of the Thunder until they show consistency as it pertains to playing 'team' basketball. Now for your link, type in Russell Westbrook: Secret to his sucess in 2015.
The title isn't true look some bad no calls but if you really want to you can sift through all of the games in the regular season and find a horribly called game every week. It happens especially in a game like basketball. They honestly just tried to let the players play it wasn't just the last few seconds but the last couple minutes. If you were a player you would have wanted the same thing to happen "let us play this game we work so hard to play and let the outcome be our doing" there's a reason the players didn't complain. And if the opposite happened okc wouldn't have either.
+o shah the point is that physical play near the end shouldn't matter as the play should have been stopped with Waiters trying to shove Manu when trying to make an inbound pass.
o shah Since when is an inbounder shoving the defender a legal play? Its not a matter of physicality but when the refs should ACTUALLY step in to enforce the rules of the game. And when did my statement have ANY bias for either team and their physical play?
Im a spurs fan and it's all good.. Like manu said we deserved that lost.. and it was a wake up call.. can't rely just on Aldridge.. Patty mills cant hit a shot, leonard had a bad game.. parker had 7 pts.. green hit some big shots but shot badly.. long story short we need to play better.. no excuses.. lets move on
finally...have been waiting for this breakdown for forever
Ronnie shirt collar is all kinds of fucked up
+Steve Novak I just scrolled down to see if anyone noticed, WTF LOL!
Thanks for pointing that out, now I am unable to finish watching the video..
I didn't even notice until I seen this comment 😂😂
Kinda? Lol
He an Ambassador from an Alien race.
damn 20 minute breakdown on 13.5 seconds

they replayed and talked about that play on inside the nba so many times
oh yeah is there a clip on YT?

They don't have the balls to make the call. I'm all for letting them play but we're not talking ticky tack fouls, we're talking pretty blatant calls. If more refs is the answer, they need to get more fast. But something has to change, cos this postseason has been beyond bad
Nothing is gonna beat the Kings vs Lakers 2002 Game 6 of the playoffs.
Another great analysis coach nick !!!
Dwyane Wade best SG breakdown.
Thank you. I have enjoyed every video you have posted!
Great analysis, I didn't realise how muddled this entire last play was lmao. It was like every man for himself out there!
Spurs had a THREE ON ONE after getting the steal. I would rather have that than have the game stop and run a play with the defense all setup.
Id rather have a play setup for LA (who dropped 41 on 15-21 shooting)
+3peats I know what you mean. LA has been stellar the series. Just my personal preference to have transition offense than a set up play
They had a chance to call timeout, but they didn't
4th Quarter 2002 WCF game 6 has this beat.
Let em play. When players recognize they won't get every petty little call from throwing their hands up we'll see more effort from the players
+Broke HypeBeast Ginobili oversold it, but Waiters was OUT OF BOUNDS! You're a moron.
(Granted they didn't play well but could have squeaked it)
This is what happens when it's crunch time. Teams attempt to cheat to win the game and think like the referess don't catch them.
+Plague Doc WELL SAID, MY FRIEND.
Robe Liam Thank you. I just dont like it when calls are not made simply because it's part of the deciding time of the games.
It ended up on a 3 on 1, how did they get screwed over lol
+Nick Sinclair ginobli was too passive and adams was all over the place, good hustle
+rootofallevi ?
+Nick Sinclair because pops would have gotten his team a better shot after a timeout other than freelancing it.
Nick Sinclair
ok, i read your statement wrong, i thought you were askin why couldnt the spurs score when they had a 3 on 1 advantage...
+SadisticSarcasm They had a 3-1 with a 7 footer guarding 3 capable ball handlers. Even if the fast break broke down, Spurs still had the chance to call a timeout.
Man Ibaka was grabbing Aldridge's jersey like a walmart shopper on black friday.
Wow, Adams played outstanding defense those last 13 seconds.
4:47 LaMarcus is like, "did dis guy just did dis!?"
The refs are messing up the whole postseason
The hate for OKC is soooo real.
right lmao
funny part is even with patty "holding" adams, he was still wide open and waiters still could have gotten the ball to him a lot easier than durant.
+alamoaggie What incompetent coach has Waiters doing the inbound?
Coach, I was hoping you would do this to clear things up. Thanks!
Also, what would have been called if the grab by the fan on Adams affected the game in any way?
Great stuff coach!
no coach, imo this is standard nba reffing ineptitude, highlighted only coz it was last 13.5 secs of a playoff game. ffs ask ronnie how his shitty refs miss a 16 step lay up and it makes highlights packages etc (the regular season), and when was the last 3 sec call on the offence. worst refs in a pro league, and not just usa pro sports, for ineptitude and bias for stars.
I am a Spurs fan but I know that this play didn't affect the outcome cause my Spurs were behind the whole game.
HOWEVER, "letting them play" is always going to go against the offense because they still have to put the ball in the hole. Just sayin'.
Coach Nick,
Another great video.
No Blood No Foul, OKC Won Fairly !
no they didn't
+YT Icy he was being sarcastic.
+YT Icy how the fuck are you that dumb? Did you not hear them? Manu would of had a tech and they would of had free throws and a possession so fuck outta here dumbass
20 mins breaking down 13.5 seconds? no thx
Ok, great video coach, but i have one question. What the freakin hell was Waiters doing in the last 13.5 sec of the game ???
20 min to analyze 13.5 seconds? 🤔 maybe that's why they aren't quick to go to replay? 😑 naw!
Why don't you do a proper breakdown on a thunder win for once? On the game, not just calls!
You can tell he does not like the thunder
not a whole lot to breakdown about kd and Westbrook carrying them with the occasional dose of ibaka and Adams
+Dom2K it didnt matter before, he still did breakdown on what they did wrong on plays
+Josh Johnson I promise to get to proper breakdowns for the remaining games. My schedule the last 2 weeks has been insane.
+Josh Johnson "proper breakdown" lol what do you want him to say? thunder offense is elementary... thunder had their game plan, ran in as best they could and still only won by 1 point on a blown call. not to mention SA flat out having a terrible shooting night.
officiated, brah. the word is officiated.
+theheebs100 haha, it was so late when I wrote out the title. Hmm. Should I change it?
haha it's no big deal. I was just making a joke.
BBALLBREAKDOWN great video though. this was really interesting to take a look at. a lot going on in this sequence, and a lot to think about with regard to how games are called at the end. especially given the recency of the controversial no-call for wade at the end of game 6 in that series
The biggest no call was that no one told Ronnie about his collar.
finally..... great as always
please do heat vs raptors especially the inbounds play that resulted in ross getting 2 free throws
@bballbreakdown what do you think of the fan holding down Steven Adams at the end of the quarter?
But even if leaving the playing surface isn't interpreted to say you can't jump and throw, did not Waiters leave the playing surface (out of bounds surface). Look how he lands inbounds. I think this rule was written so terribly so the NBA could deny culpability and enforce it against certain teams in a manner to their liking.
I followed along until my dude said they should of called the foul on Dion mean while Steven Adams got fouled first
Yeah coach nick kind of glazed over every thunder foul and magnified the waiters foul
Waiters touching Ginobli with the ball while he's standing out of bounds, should have been called "out of bounds" and resulted in a turnover to San Antonio. The ball touching the other player should have put the ball in play. If you touch a player standing out of bounds, that ball is dead.
+J. Jnz If the tech on Ginobili is called then this chaotic inbound most likely never happens.
Refs in playoff r the worst, they completely change the game vs regular season.
Lol Ibaka's such a multi tasker grabs hold of two jerseys at a time
no reason to be mad, the spurs ended up getting the steal and had a chance to win the game, but didn't.
+Zak Bagans yknow, if I didn't say this in the video, I absolutely should have.
+Di M ginobli stepped over the line first...it should be technical foul thudner gets ft and the ball....just like in 2013 finals when duncan came in when he wasnt allowed to in game 6 the heat should have been given a ft and the ball....the spurs cheat a lot
what about the fan grabbing Adams' arm? lol
was there non-calls? of course, but it was equally on both ends. If the ref wouldve make any of the calls on either the ginobili cross the bound or waiter shoveling, then all of us would be complaining about the Ref deciding the result of the game instead letting the players play it out.... give them a break man.
don't mind me, just scrolling to see the RUclips NBA online officianados in action
Ronnie is a great guy.
Why is it 20 mins!!
saw ronnies collar, im out, audio only for me
salty Spurs fan detected...
In fairness about the foot on the line thing, he says it's not a big deal, but then why is it so much of a big deal on a 3 pt shot? They'll stop the game to review in the last 2 minutes. Should be the same principle
+Andrew R Lol wtf. Use a better analogy.
The Internet Tough Guy Don't ever play yourself. Both involve having a foot on the line. Hence the analogy.
Congratulations. You played yourself.
Making the shooter a player who can actually hit free throws further discourages the unnecessary delay of game tactic.
lot of chaos insued in those last mins man..
There are a lot ob "maybe" calls but the the only "musst" call is the violation/foul call on waiters. The other things happen in every game an most times the refs wouldn´t call them.
clock started early...
I was expecting you'd do this breakdown cos it was totally a very bad call, so bad I'd compare you to my physics teacher back in high school with that glasses (no disrespect intended).
PS: what happened to the goatee coach? ;-)
The refs are winning it all this year
+emberbender In that case you must mean the Warriors because the refs never call shit against them.
+Real As It Gets Actually, surprisingly enough, I saw 2 illegal screens called against them within 3 minutes, which is more than they've ever gotten in a single game.
+JWY12345 Because the league wants the series to go as far as it can for the most money. They don't want another sweep or 5 game series
+JWY12345 I still can't believe people keep saying illegal screens.
+Real As It Gets Out of all of the teams, the warriors are the only one that don't get calls against them? seems logic.
coach, still waiting for the 2002 wcf game 6...cant wait to hear what excuses Ronnie has for the great reffing there...
Shut the fuck up kid
"Ginobili is a flopper".
+Markens Thelusma It sure affects my enjoyment of the game. The sloppiness is an infection.
So they wanted to call kawhi for a jersey grab but 13:44 jersey grab was clean???
No self respecting ref would've called that hold on Mills when it was having no tangible effect on the play. I think the NBA nitpicked in an effort to take the onus off an obviously bad no-call on Waiters.
What's wrong with Ronnie's shirt??
The collar isn't down in the back
Though he was cheated, I love how Manu didn't whine about the elbow.
+Fausto Valdez Maturity.
+Fausto Valdez He did whine.
4:15Ginobli's a flopper
+Daryl E That's the only excuse for the ref -- that he wasn't sure any contact was made. But he should have seen it. It was right in front of him, two feet away!
Of COURSE Coach Spurs-Fan doesn't think that masterflopper Ginobili stepping on the line was a big deal...
So, the NBA calls out Kawhi and Mills for their holds and says it was okay for Ibaka? Righttttt.....
Just hope we will break them down on their own court in games 3 & 4
Don't forget how the fan grabbed adams everyone
Where's the Miami taking a dump on Charlotte!?
The title isn't true look some bad no calls but if you really want to you can sift through all of the games in the regular season and find a horribly called game every week. It happens especially in a game like basketball. They honestly just tried to let the players play it wasn't just the last few seconds but the last couple minutes. If you were a player you would have wanted the same thing to happen "let us play this game we work so hard to play and let the outcome be our doing" there's a reason the players didn't complain. And if the opposite happened okc wouldn't have either.
12:07 CP3 listen up.
In the end of the day, refs let the players play physically and OKC ended up winning.
+o shah the point is that physical play near the end shouldn't matter as the play should have been stopped with Waiters trying to shove Manu when trying to make an inbound pass.
in other words, the physical play shouldn't have mattered as much except when OKC engaged in the physical play.
o shah Since when is an inbounder shoving the defender a legal play? Its not a matter of physicality but when the refs should ACTUALLY step in to enforce the rules of the game. And when did my statement have ANY bias for either team and their physical play?
What we learned from this is that Pop is still a fucking genius
Manu's toe was incidental, Waiters elbow was intentional. Big deal.
last minute or so of the heat vs raps game was pretty awful officiating wise.
why the fuck he didn't say inbounder... thrower-in? wtf
Idk why tf does it bother you so much??
+David L. Nguyen The NBA rules have termed it thrower-in, not inbounder. So it's because the NBA did it as such.
+Koos Gadellaa well the nba are idiots... lol
+ampecsu yes the multi billion dollar organization... are idiots... because "ampecsu from youtube" doesn't like an official term they used.
thanks for the correction
This guy needs to stop talking about the Thunder. When they win the chip this year he's gonna meltdown harder than chris webber did
Lol Chris Webber lost his damn mind
right
+Fore Skinf when the thunder win the chip?.................................................LOL.
Spurs win this one in 5. Damn that shove by Waiters was evident
Im a spurs fan and it's all good.. Like manu said we deserved that lost.. and it was a wake up call.. can't rely just on Aldridge.. Patty mills cant hit a shot, leonard had a bad game.. parker had 7 pts.. green hit some big shots but shot badly.. long story short we need to play better.. no excuses.. lets move on
Parker being Parker
