I saw Big Audio Dynamite a few years ago at First Ave in Minneapolis Minnesota. Mick Jones had chicks surrounding him like he was Mick Jagger in his prime.
I met in NYC in the eighties, I thought he wasn't good looking at all, pimply face , but a nice guy. Mick Jagger is a God, can't compare, like apples and oranges
I first heard this during my teenaged music video obsession of the early '90s. But I swear that, as I approach my 47th year of life, this tune has been stuck in my head forever! I'm even about to evacuate the Midwest after a brief sentence here to return to the West Coast to work in the cannabis industry in a hippie town in Oregon. Scared shitless of the unknown, seemingly not enough money saved up, itching to get somewhere that feels right but also battling the demon of anxiety. This is the Universe singing to me about the path ahead. Shout out to all the Gen X'ers out there, living life for better and for worse!
Man those were the days. The 80s were on the way out - but bands like Depeche Mode, OMD and The Pet Shop Boys had just released their swan-song (and arguably best!) albums, meaning the 80s went out with a bang! The 90s were just getting going, the rave-party was just kicking off. Bands like the Happy Mondays and The Farm (shout out!!) were bridging the two decades and musical styles - pop and rave. The Inspiral Carpets were in the middle of MADchester. The Stone Roses dropped their bombshell premier album. Primal Scream were holding it down north of the border. Stock, Aikman and Waterman were making LowdsaMooneh in London. The Smiths were off in left field with 0 synths, but making some of the best pop ever. Need I go on? You could FEEL the energy in those days, you could cut the air with a knife it was so exciting. And today?. . . . 100% total SHITE. BORING electronic drivel. ZERO creativity. ONE day of the 80s/90s ('Welcome to the 80s/90s. . . ") were better than 1000 days of today. And why? One word: technology. Kids today are only able to operate a cell phone, not much more. Technology is killing our humanity. People, stop worshipping technology or it will be the end of us as a race. Peace out to kids of the 80s/90s!

So blessed to see these Lad's The Clash that is open for The Who in 82! Love The Clash and B A D!
Some really good songs never die....like this one! Still listening in 2017! Yeaaah!
I loved BAD for time, but the day our youngest son was born Burned one and really heard the song. Thanks Mr. Jones.
Remeber hearing this when I was a kid. Always had it on repeat.

I saw Big Audio Dynamite a few years ago at First Ave in Minneapolis Minnesota. Mick Jones had chicks surrounding him like he was Mick Jagger in his prime.
No doubt ♡!
Love First Ave! Bob Mould catch.
Well...yeah! He's fucking Mick Jones!!
I met in NYC in the eighties, I thought he wasn't good looking at all, pimply face , but a nice guy. Mick Jagger is a God, can't compare, like apples and oranges
Thats great to hear! But I mean of course, he is talented, was in the Clash and has a great smile! Age is just a number but charisma is forever.
Had this song on a cassette tape playing constantly in my VW Golf in 1995...made many mistakes that year and the lyrics were very soothing
I had a 88 16V and wore out my BAD cassettes as well!!
I didn't get BAD's music when they were recording in the eighties. Sorry Mick, it took a while but I'm getting into it now.

2022 & been listening to this alot lately. Classic Mick Jones
2022 still loving this song I'm only 53🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rush for the change of atmosphere I can’t go on so I give in I love the song rush it’s a really good song ❤
One of my favorite bands back in the day. Underrated talent!
If I had my time again
I would do it all the same
And not change a single thing
Even when I was to blame
For the heartache and the pain
That I caused throughout my years
How I'd love to be your man
Through the laughter and the tears
Situation no win
Rush for a change of atmosphere
I can't go on so I give in
Gotta get myself right outta here
First song I'm choosing to listen to in 2018.
LeroybrownLR3mk02 great way to start out on the right foot
LeroybrownLR3mk02 it works for 2019 too.
LeroybrownLR3mk02 ironically it was my second song of 2019.
2019 too
Lmao
Great interlude. Mick Jones has a lot of musical talent. In the film about Joe Strummer, it was said that Mick was the one who wrote the melodies and arranged the band for The Clash.
I only just learned that the intro organ was sampled from a hippie 60s song. Fail on my part.
