Beautiful man, look at that skin, wow, he's such a gem. He was one of the most generous humanitarians ever. I was a teenager when he came on the scene in the 50's, and I remember he help start the Polio drive and had many TV spots asking for support , he helped build the Memphis chapter of St. Jude's hospital . He also bought the Presidential yacht of FDR to auction for the new branch of St. Judes in California and Cedars of Lebanon for Danny Thomas. He was the single largest donor to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. This very concert in Hawaii was for the Cancer Fund. So when people say mean things about him, they don't really know the truth. He was a kind and generous man.

This is a great interview, and I believe he was very nervous during this interview. If you watch closely his breathing is rapid and that makes me very sad. I feel sorry for the things he had to go thru. Such a kind and gentle man.

I saw this in 1977 and a fan said “he’s stoned out of his head” I said he wasn’t. I was wrong. He’s coming down. That’s why a reporter asked “how do you pace yourself.” The slurred words give the game away

Why do people think he was high here? Have you heard him speak and his cadence during his early years?? Elvis always spoke that way. He had a slow southern slur. Exactly like his father. I’m not saying he wasn’t on anything but come on now realize it’s his way of speaking. Always has been!🤦♀️

As a fellow Elvis fan i love what you are doing here, upscaling footage. But please be careful you set the correct settings for frames so you don't get frame blurring into each other. Also, using Adobe AI voice enhancer on material like this is better not to do. Because believe it or not, it replaces the voice of Elvis with samples of many other voice and thus make it sound fake. Because it basically destroys the voice. For archiving/remastering it is better to use tools that don't use sampled audio data. The same can be said for the video but if done correctly, it is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately Adobe AI isn't there yet to understand we need to hear the real Elvis. I'm sure we'll get there eventually!

Really great frame smoothing, a little out of sync but the sound is brilliant.
Unfortunately he wasn't in good shape here. I think he had a cold here. But he was always cool and marvellous. It was an important moment for him to announce the Aloha concert
I've heard he was medicated on uppers here.

The 4k updates don't do Elvis justice as it makes his skin look waxy which in reality is not how he looked in the original filming. Not just this footage specifically but most 4k "upgrades".
