I have watched many candle making videos and still come out a bit confused. So glad I have found yours. I can very much relate to your methodology of teaching. I now feel I can move forward building my candle company that I started during lock down 2020. Thank you Kevin...

I've been making fragranced candles for over a year now and have just run across a shop that wants to stock them, but wants them to be fragrance free. I'm stumped after a lot of research as to what temperature I need to heat my Golden Brands 464 soy wax to if I'm NOT adding fragrance oils? I generally pour at 155° and that always turns out a beautiful candle. However, when I made my last batch of fragrance free candles, I heated to 185° (since I wasn't sure how hot I needed to go) and poured at 155°. Half of them were cracked on the top and I've never had that happen when adding fragrance. I know that using a heat gun would fix it, but I'm curious as to the actual cause and how I might prevent it? I knew you'd be the right person to ask!! Thanks for all of your highly informative and in depth videos. They're my go-to! 😊

I find your videos very informative and the best out there from what I've come across, you definitely deserve more recognition! I think I might take the course. One thing that absolutely worries me about candle making is the ingredients in the fragrance oils, such as petrochemicals, CMRS, phthalates etc. do you have any information on this?

Great question! I have a blog post about fragrance oils, at least as much as we CAN know about them without being in the henhouse.

Thanks for your informative videos :) they are of great help, especially with every detail you go in :) those this method apply to RCX wax? Or is it generic to all kind of waxes because, I read that if you pour the oil in a high temp it could burn away the oil fragrance. So I was thinking that if you re heat it, this might happen. But I am still new to this so I am a bit confused :)

Great question. I'm on the wrong side of the pond to answer that. Unfortunately I don't have experience with the WAX, but I think the flash point video could really help about the oil question: ruclips.net/video/FZELjIxZTAM/видео.html - hope that helps!
