When I was in Jakarta, everyone was so friendly and since Im like two meters tall and white as shit, people came up to me just to talk. I even was invited to a random persons home for dinner. I love Jakarta. Also, I bought a pair of Adidas pro model basket ball shoes, and wrote this little rhyme saying, "When I was over seas, I spent over a million on these!" I know, very dumb, but they were like 1,400,000. And yes, it was at a brand store at that huge way too nice mall they have.

Kwe Putu is similar to Puttu from South Indian states of Tamilnadu and Kerala. Even the name is similar. We also eat it with grated coconut.

I think so, many Indonesian food is fission from other country because long time ago, Indonesia do trading spicy to other country, like martabak manis actually from China, martabak telor come from Arab. But already change some ingredients.

You're right, it IS similar to Puttu from Tamilnadu. Even the word Putu (or Puto in Tagalog) is a loanword from Tamil to old Malay when it was the lingua franca in Southeast Asia. But each country has their own version of putu. Another similar case is Appam.

It was not little bit but a lot different. Jakarta has been one of the fastest growing cities on Earth for the last 5 decades, save for cities like Dubai and some cities in China known for their construction boom.
As a full-life resident of Jakarta if you show pictures of Jakarta in 1970s I won’t recognize anything except the some old buildings such as the Jakarta Cathedral, Istiqlal Mosque, and the National Monument. In 1970s, Jakarta probably *only had one or two skyscrapers* if not none at all, while today there are *literally hundreds of them*. Also there are of course, far more cars, motorbikes, modern buses, and trains roaming today than in 1970s.
