I love the little things they do in this show, when Dany says Dracays, they cut to her crew and Jorah is the only one to understand what that means and turns to look at Dragon while everyone else stares in confusion. I just ❤ that part
There are multiple reasons Commander Mormont wasn't willing to kill Craster. The Night's Watch are meant to uphold the law, they are an honorable organisation. To kill a man in his own home after he's fed you and given you shelter is one of the most dishonorable things a person can do in this world. It doesn't matter how immoral or awful Craster was, killing him was extremely dishonorable and illegal. Second, Craster and the Nights Watch had an arrangement. They would bring him supplies and he would provide food and shelter for their Rangers in times of need. North of the Wall is a brutal place and there are very few Wildlings who wouldn't try to kill Night's Watch Rangers, let alone help them. They can't be picky in who they choose for help when their lives are on the line. Relying on men like Craster is not something the Watch wanted to do, but it was a neccessary evil.
I think this is my favorite episode of the series with Dany's freeing of the Unsullied, the Varys backstory, the mutiny at Craster's keep, Theon's speech. It's just so jam-packed with incredible scenes. It's definitely in my top 5
Yes!! The moment when she threw the whip into the dirt as they were leaving is absolutely the moment when I became fully invested in Dany. Theon's speech made me sympathize with him and got him part way back into my good graces. Just such a great episode.
I love how Missandei turned to look at Dany real quick when she started speaking to the Unsullied in Valyrian, her face was like.."OMG she SPEAKS VALYRIAN?" and her look when Dany talked to the master is just priceless✨
@@Ash.Crow.Goddess I think back then she doesn't really know, since the sentence Valar morghulis seems to be quite known, but once Dany spoke to the Unsullied, it was certain for her that Danu can speak Valyrain
@@Ash.Crow.Goddesswell, she only said valar morghulis, which is a high valyrian term known by lots of people who don't speak the language. Even Arya knows it thanks to Jaqen
Actually, in the scene of Joffrey and Margaery, the plot was trying to tell us how successful Margaery manipulated Joffrey by playing into his mind, pretending to show joy in hearing his babbling, something Cersei cannot accomplish. That's why when Joffrey ordered to open the door, Margaery smirked to Cersei and took Joffrey's hand showing that she was better at playing the game than Cersei.
Jaime and Theon are getting their comeuppance and you can't help but feel a little sorry for them. Jaime finally showed some humanity and lost his hand for it. Theon realized he betrayed the only people who have ever cared for him and it's too little too late. ❤ I am loving your reactions. This is where the show really starts to pick up the pace. Hold on... it's going to be a bumpy ride.
the writing for Jamie in this season is so good, love how you change how you feel from thinking he's a smarmy prick to being a genuine sympathetic character
That final scene was one of the most badass scenes in the show! One of my quests after that episode was to learn how to say that great line "A dragon is not a slave" in Valyrian... "Zaldrizes buzdari iksos daor!" And the smiles on the faces of both Jorah and Ser Barriston when they realized that the accomplished what both of them wanted... getting a serious, well-trained army, and having them fight for her not because she had bought them, but because that wanted to fight for her. Fun fact: When this episode was first scheduled to air, the teaser line in the listings was "Daenerys trades a chain for a whip"
The Dany scene has to be one of best scenes of any show and my favorite part was her speech. I remember reading “ Unsullied you’ve been slaves all of your lives, today you are free..” and I just cried. I felt weird because I couldn’t remember when the last time I cried out of pure joy.
Hi, I wanted to explain the "Brotherhood without Banners". If you remember when Ned Stark sat on the Iron Throne when Robert went out for his fateful hunt, Ned sent 100 men to ride to Gregor's keep and bring justice to him ( for sacking that village) and he also summoned Tywin Lanniesr to Court. 100 men rode out but did not kill the Mountain. During that time, both Robert and Ned died. So they were "without banners" trying to bring justice. So that is how they started and decided to remain in the lands. That's my understand from the books.
I never understood that. So basically Ned started them in a round about way and they help with everything in the end so that’s so cool. Thx for explaining that! (They are done the show now so my little spoiler above shouldn’t hurt, haha)
With the shock of the master of the Unsullied after he has sold them to Dany “You speak Valerian?” We’ve (my family) have always said that an appropriate (though not in keeping with the story) response by Dany could have been “Bitch, I might!”
Possibly, or she saw a young girl she could manipulate, and marry her family into the north. You aren't that good at manipulation unless you do it to many people around you.

So beric dondarrion was in season one for 1 scene. He was the knight charged by ned with bringing sir Gregor the mountain to justice for his crimes when he attacked the villages and killed the innocent people.
I always thought this episode was good enough to be a season finale! Haha That whole part with Mormont dying and then doing Dany taking charge! This is one of my all time favorite episodes!!! ❤
Craster's "offerings" were a bargain with the white walkers, to keep them happy, so it wasn't all good that they killed him, as much as he deserved it.
I love to verbally respond the fate of every character y’all mention in your post discussion… Knowing that I can’t write it down, because no spoilers lol!! 😂❤
Listening to you guys talk about the chaos in Craster's Keep one thing popped in my mind. After getting this far in Game of Thrones you haven't learned "This is why can't have nice things." Lol
It’s funny when Olenna and Cersi are discussing Robert’s death from a boar hunt. In the books Olenna says her husband died riding his horse off a cliff while pursuing quarry during a hunt. Apparently Tyrell men aren’t very smart.
26:13 - this was probably mentioned already, but dragons' names are Drogon (black one), Viserion (green), Rheygal (yellow) - named after her husband and both brothers. Drogon is her favorite.
