"He was only the watchman. Hang him last so he can watch the others die" is the one of the coldest fucking lines in this show. I love it.
Same. Chills every time
"Tell Lord tywin winter is coming for him, 20000 northmen marching down to find out if really does shit gold".
Robb had some of the most badass lines in the show.
Jaime's monologue gives me chills every time. One of the best scenes in the whole show. And the way he says "by what right does the wolf judge the lion" is amazing. I mean, you can hear the lion’s roar in Jaime’s voice when he says “the lion”. Great acting by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Jaime is an amazing character
This was the scene that sold me on Nikolaj as an actor. If awards were given for single scenes, he'd be a shoe-in.
the most overrated, self-important and feable male animal on the planet so yes.
This scene made him my favourite character. While other lords and kingsguards tried to protect their honour Jamie did the right thing without thinking about his honour. One of the reasons why I liked Lannisters more than Starks was they will sacrifice their honour for the family and do the things that are needed.
@@AK-pw3oq yes!I never get why so many people dont see this.
Cersei's smug smile knowing Tyrion's getting married to Sansa and THEN she's dragged into it 🤣🤣🤣. Satisfying how that smile went away.
if Tywins army could kill Robb, Sansa would be the heir of winterfell (everyone thinks the boys are dead). Theres no better chois for Tyrion to marry in all 7 kingdoms. But Tywin is one step ahead.. becouse Olena want Sansa for Loras..
Jamie’s confession is one of my favorite scenes in s3.
I think Jaime's refusal to take the milk of the poppy is a very good, subtle bit of characterization. In a new place, where he's already at the mercy of people he doesn't know all that well, not being doped up is the more conscious of choices.
Yessss! Cersei calls him the srupidest Lannister. But he's second only to Tywin, I think. No matter what Tyrion wants to believe about himself.
@@Ash.Crow.Goddess Tyrion is literally the smartest Lannister.
Is he though? In the show anyway
@@tobe1207 in the first 4 seasons? He's certainly up there. S5 and onward? No way.
Kevan Lannister is by FAR the smartest Lannister
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the king, obey the king, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the king? What if the king massacres the innocent? It’s too much. No matter what you do, you’re forsaking one vow or another.
This has got to be THE best character mapping from reactors. Good job guys. All the best to ya
Except for the part where they put the brotherhood in the wrong place 😅. Still love them
@@christoperwallace6197 even with that flaw, still the best tbh
And Sansa. Kinda a spoiler
Love that Jon and Ygritte got married in real life. Now they have 2 children
Cool story lol
@@Lostwenfound💀
You mean wildlings
@@KiddObeyy 🤣🤣🤣
His little boy looks just like him :)
I am so glad I found this channel, the two of you reacting together is literally so funny because of how you guys bounce of each other energy and reaction wise.
Aryas list of names is because Yoren told her the story of how he couldnt stop thinking about willem and would say his name before he went to sleep
And then da foes Willim's son Carl tanner takes revenge on yorens Lord commander
@@tobe1207 is Carl willems son?
Fun fact: Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) makes music under the the stage name Raleigh Ritchie (Lionel Ritchie is his uncle) and it is absolute FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
Kissed by Fire is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. Its perfection. Starts so many storylines and explains misunderstandings.
The S1 meeting between Jaime and Ned in the throne room has a different context now... you can see Jaime was sincerely hoping for Ned's respect and was hurt when he didn't get it
@@hjalnelson9579seeing jamie without neds hate draped on him allows people to see the true jamie.honourable and noble knight.
Acting and Writing wise this is the best episode of the show.
@@baronhomer1 Ah yes, the honourable and noble knight that chucked a kid out the window. I love Jaime as a character as much as the next, but honourable? noble? dudes a cunt that did the right thing a couple times. That of course includes saving Kings Landing, but he has no issue murdering innocent children to save himself and his family.
So, some nonspoilery clarification: In the Free Folk culture (wildlings), when a man wants to marry a woman, he comes and steals her. Jon technically stole Ygritte from her companions. According to her, she and Jon are "married." A woman like Ygritte would never respect someone enough to marry, if he can't grab and nab her. Jon is an alpha. That asshole with the Owl who's all butthurt because he wants her doesn't actually interest her at all. He never tried to take her. Also, those 2 actors of Jon and Ygritte (Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie) are married in real life. And they have 2 children, now. They fell in love on set. ❤
The scene where the Unsullied chose their names has a bigger meaning in the books, i don't know whey they didn't add that to the show.
In the books, the Unsullied are given a new name everyday. They are randomly drafted and each Unsullied takes one paper/dogtag with a new name. That is why Grey Worm chose to be Grey Worm. That was the name he drafted on the day Daenerys freed them!
Something alot of people miss, during the trial by combat, if you turn the volume up high you can hear THE LORD OF LIGHT speak the words "innocent" in a spectral voice.
In this episode you find out Jamie is not who you think he is , In the booke he didn't kill his cousin either and in his fight with Briene she couldn't believe how good jamie was . Also After Ned judged him as the KINGSLAYER , It was a defence mechanism of Jamie to act as an asshole because the people treated him like one .
Love the digital map! Your investment in and commitment to the story makes your reactions such an enjoyable watch. Edit: I still love the physical board, but you guys have taken this to a new level. Well done.
Jamie is such a well written character.
Jaimes monologue in this episode might be my favorite scene in the whole show. Always gets me
“Pod the Rod” 😂😂😂😂
I’ve been looking forward to this ep for WEEKS so you’d see that before he was boning the vampire Lestat, Jacob Anderson/Louis du pont du lac was the head of the unsullied working for the dragon queen-but no reaction to seeing your boy from Interview with the Vampire?!
For what it’s worth, the actor who plays Daniel (the man interviewing Louis in Interview wt Vamp) specifically took the role because he found out Jacob Anderson was the lead character, and he loved him in this role in Game of Thrones so much and wanted to work with him.
Fun Fact: It took like a week to film the cave fight scene! It was such an enclosured space and big fire, people kept falling out with heat exhaustion! It got to where they couldn't stay in there for more than 3 minutes at a time.
Lady Olenna is the homie for real.
So far the Lord of Light is the only one showing up clutch lol. Another thing to remember about Jaime is that he was 17 years old (in the books) when he killed the Mad King and if you remember from the histories and lore, Jaime was in a bit of a hostage situation that everyone seemed to know but not really say. The Mad King kept Jaime around to keep Tywin from betraying him as the wealthiest region in the Seven Kingdoms and also he robbed the Lannistes of having their heir. Also, Jaime was Tywin's pride and joy. Additionally, the Mad King basically told Tywin that Cersei wasn't good enough to marry his son Rhaegar. In the books, Cersei is considered the most beautiful girl at that time and was nicknamed the Light of the West. There was a lot of beef between The Mad King and Tywin Lannister. People also said Tywin was the one pulling the strings and holding the realm together until he was left the capital to go back home.
One of my all time favorite episodes of GoT.
It has so many epic scenes, like the duel in the beginning, the resurrection of Beric Dondarrion, the beheading of Lord Karstark, Jaimes monologue, etc.
And we finally met Shireen, that lovely, kind, intelligent but also very poor girl. It always breaks my heart to see her and how she is locked away all her life.
Love your reaction when Beric died🤣 and love the confusion when he came back🤣🤣BTW, the new map looks amazing!
The "planet" as a whole is called the known world.
I love how we have seen a women step in to flames and birth dragons and Kody sees a sword on fire and wants to know how it happens😂...love you guys!
The new map is totally awesome! Absolutely love your reactions
So you know, the "Brotherhood without Banners" are the 100 men Ned Stark sent out after the Mountain when Ned sat on the throne. While on that task, Ned and Robert died making the 100 men "without banners" so they chose their own.
I’ve watched the series a number of times, and that never clicked for me. Thanks!
Cody was gobsmacked over Berrick!
'How does that work?'
Blood magic. They don't really explain it in the show, but Thoros was famous for using a flaming sword. But he just coated it in wildfire, and it ruined the blade every time (his armorer charged him more because of this, from what I remember - same armorer who apprenticed Gendry). However, after the birth of the dragons (or, maybe for the same reason the dragons were birthed, we don't know exactly), magic started working. Just as we saw in the House of the Undying. So, Beric uses blood magic to light the sword.
That scene between Jamie and Brienne is solid gold. Emmy material. Go back and rewatch carefully and somberly. It's a very important scene.
Dude you know we love y’all when as soon as you see the notification yo ass click and watch hehehehehehhe an the digital map hunny it’s till gonna burn and we love it lmao
Make sure Grey Worm gets put on the map. He's practically in every episode now.
This show/books are so good with "the gray area." Rob Stark needed the Karstarks.... but they betrayed him...but they were just avenging their own...but Rob can;t allow them to supercede his authority. Like, the two choices Rob had in them moment are lose-lose. You could argue the merits of either decision until the end of time with the knowledge at that moment and you'd be both right and wrong...
And Jamie's monologue in the baths is some amazing characterization..., much like most characters until...
I love that duel. Changes so much. A bit subtle, too, but the last trial by combat we saw was for Tyrion at the Aerie, and Tyrion was found innocent. If we believe Tyrion is actually innocent and didn't send that assassin to Winterfell, and the trial somehow proved that, it suggests that maybe The Hound isn't such a bad guy after all if he killed Beric Dondarrion. I don't know how many people will agree with that interpretation, but that's how I interpreted it. We've already seen The Hound choose to leave the King's service, offer to take Sansa out of King's Landing to take her home. He seems to be on a bit of a journey.
He's "innocent" because he was only doing what was expected. He doesn't actually like killing or anything to do with serving, but it's what is expected. He would never have actually killed Micah unless he himself would have been in danger by not following orders so that's why he is innocent. His intentions were pure.
edit: as he was on trial for executing an innocent person, Micah, and that is what the trial found him innocent of.
Love the map. You’re going to need a bigger graveyard.
😂😂
I think it's implied that Jamie refuses the anesthetic cus he doesn't trust that he won't be amputated further while under the effects of the drugs.
Jaime is the best character both in the book and the show. Nikolaj brought him to life and killed it.
Was my favorite character from the jump when I read the books but tyrion and littlefinger hopped up there very quick.
“Pod the rod” I fucking lost it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I’m loving going through this journey again along with you 2
that bathtub scene man
I get chills every time!!
That Jaime scene always makes me cry
I didn’t see commander Mormont in the graveyard sadly. But this episode is goosebumps Jamie’s speech the fight Arya and gendry moment Arya asking to bring Ned back Davos and Stannis daughter the introduction to grey worm and Robb’s savageness so good only bad part of this episode is the introduction to Stannis bat shit crazy wife
Bridgette: "She's Kinky!"
Cody: "Teehee!"
Me: *laughing my ass off and having to stand up from a cramp*
Grjotagja Cave and its thermal spring is a now famous location on Iceland. Due to filming restrictions, the scene was actually shot in a studio. However, the cave was recreated by the Game of Thrones creative team to maximize authenticity. Although they did add a waterfall to make things more romantic!
Forgot I wanted to comment on this! I love the scene in the bath with Jamie and Brienne. Think it's the first time anyone has seen the real Jamie Lannister.
Heads up, GOT brings the best content and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
“My name is Jamie” What a turning point for him as a character 💯
31:15 “Rob’s gunna steal your hoooome” I’m wheezing
😭
Bath scene is the defining moment of Jamies arc. Superb scene in a superb and absolutely brutal season.
Love the photo of Robb Stark on the map. Such a lovely wholesome scene later on in the show :D
“Are we watching another one?” My favorite reaction, lol. ❤
Barristan and Jorah were talking about Thoros, the red priest that brought back Lord Berrick
Lord Beric was killed by the mountain when Ned sent him and other men to arrest the mountain
Ahh been looking forward to you guys watching this episode. Btw did you notice that grey worm is played by the same guy as Louis in interview with the vampire!
Cody and Bridget's brother have such a loving relationship 😂
This is one of my favorite episodes. period. It's jammed packed with goodness and the cap off is the last scene. Tywin rules!
Love the mao and the attention to detail with where u place ur characters n I never seen another reaction channel do anything like this and I love it what a smart brilliant idea to keep track of everything it's well done and well thought out kudos to u guys
9:34 Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie (Jon and Ygritte) started dating because they met via their parts in the previous season. By the time they filmed this scene, they were pretty much knowing they would be marrying each other, so that's why it feels so natural and actually romantic. They married in 2018, and have a son and a daughter now, which is why they both have stepped back a little from acting, to be able to take care of their kids.
New digi map is awesome guys.
If you can 'greenscreen' that digital map behind you, will be the ultimate upgrade of the experience...
love Beric Dondarrion, his flamin sword and his voice💙
I don't know why, but that conversation between Barristan Selmy and Jorah Mormont and how they acted together was probably exactly how I imagined two seasoned knights interacting with each other. Like: The role model.
There have been few others so far in film history. Another would be Liam Neeson and Jeremy Irons in "Kindom of Heaven".
In the books, Robb's execution of Lord Karstark is very different. He uses an axe, not a sword, and it takes him several blows to remove his head. It's supposed to be a deliberate thematic parallel to when Theon executed Ser Rodrik Cassell. The show changing this because they wanted to show Robb as like a competent badass and Theon as uniquely pathetic was a huge mistake. Especially because that's how beheadings go - they were never clean blows that could take a head off in one strike. Maybe a couple of times, but it was extremely rare. Beheadings only became "clean" with the invention of the guillotine in the French Revolution.
Yes I agree.also the way they make tyrion seem like a good person and really up the cersei meanness is unfortunate as well.but adaptions always require changes.
Disagree. The show did it better. Robb was more competent then Theon, whatever his other fualts. The show showed it in a great way.
@@christoperwallace6197 Nah that's stupid.
Also again, beheadings just don't work like that. Especially when you're using a normal, piddly-ass arming sword.
Ned's executions get a pass because he's using a purpose-made executioner's blade made out of a super sharp fantasy metal.
@@bookswithike3256 people aren't always gonna gree with you, and this is one of those times.
@@bookswithike3256 yea, how dare a show with dragons do something unrealistic.
From a story pov, I think the show version works better.
Been waiting days for you two to post this!! That Jaime scene was HUGE.
Jamie’s dialogue made him shot right up to my top 5 fave characters ❤
Can I just take a moment to appreciate some of the Patreon names? Glorious as some of them are. Genius!
Regardless of how many reactions I watch of this episode, when he says "My name is Jamie " It makes me tear up. Not crying like some scenes but tears in my eyes everytime. That scene was one of the best of season 3.
Careful where you are grabbing those pictures from for your board/map...I see a LOT of pictures from seasons that are WAY ahead of where you are at in the show. I know they are just pics but they could lead to potential spoilers.
Yes, Jamie was guilty of saving those people from getting burned to death.
It's always summer, under the sea
I know, I know, oh, oh, oh
The birds have scales, and the fish take wing
I know, I know, oh, oh, oh
The rain is dry, and the snow falls up
I know, I know, oh, oh, oh
The stones crack open, the water burns
The shadows come to dance, my lord
The shadows come to play
The shadows come to dance, my lord
The shadows come to stay
Remember that it took a month for the King's caravan to travel up to Winterfell from King's Landing. They look close when you're looking at the map, but the continent is actually huge.
Can't say how much love I have for the board upgrade! Just one of the things helping your channel. Stand out interaction
Digging the map!

You guys rule! I think we all want you to get to the end of this particular season as fast as possible. 🙂
Awesome map!
fun fact: the actor who played the last Lannister boy killed will play Tommen Baratheon.
looking forward every week for your uploads 😄 can’t believe we’re halfway s3 already
You have to realize that once the Targaryens lost all of their Dragons "their advantage" was lost as do their control over the Other Kingdoms...
Carl is one the two Crazy Science guys opposite Charlie Day in "Pacific Rim"
They’re so into it… this show is gonna hurt them so bad 🤣🤣😂🤣😅😅
Fun fact, The Jon/Ygritte sex scene, and the Hound and Beric fight were shot in the same cave. I just picture Jon and Ygritte gettin it on and the Hound yelling over at them “Can you keep it down, I’m tryna fight here.”
Ahh I wish you would watch 2 episodes in 1 reaction video 😔 I could watch your GoT reactions every day.
"By what right does the wolf judge the lion,by what right??!!"
Oh, look, Rob's worst decision, possibly even worse than marrying someone who wasn't a Frey -_- That won't come back to bite him at all, right?
31:36 They are not rumors, dad. Rofl Cody's face.
Love y’all reactions ❤
Grey Worms scene is so chilling, way too strong, give me chills every time.
What an amazing entrance to a episode 🔥🔥🔥
6:30 i thought you were gonna say "sir...this is a wendy's"
How does Kraster get a mention but not Lord Commander Mormont :( Rip
Jaime wouldn't take milk of the poppy not because of pride of something dumb like that, he simply doesn't feel safe enough. What if he let himself pass out and he when he wakes up the doctor has taken half his arm? He has no idea what's going to happen to him, so I very much understand not wanting to take drugs in such a vulnerable position. That's also why he went in Brienne's tub rather than take his own, so there would be someone to get him if he passed out from the pain/heat and fell in the water.
Love the new map and how into the show u guys are esp Cody being so excited about the map lmao
I’ve been loving the board, I just kept thinking in the back of my mind we are going to have to expand lol then you went digital, problem solved 😂 love your reaction as always ❤
16:14 - Great! :(( Robb goes to great lengths to serve justice for Lannisters, but won't spend 2 minutes listening to his own people's plea for mercy. It's quite possible that the watcher guard was forced or threatened to do this and Robb just killed him. Ned had too much honor, Robb has too little.
Robb cant play "the game".. this is second time hes done something wrong, the nights watch always need more recruits :) that is the politicaly correct punishment in this world...
"By what right does the wolf judge the lion?"
Dude! That map is fabulous! You go, guy! I'm proud of you.
