- Michael Johnson pays tribute to sprinter Usain Bolt who retired at the end of the London 2017 World Athletics Championships. Michael Johnson is joined in the studio by Colin Jackson, Denise Lewis and presenter Gabby Logan.
This video has proved to be very popular so I have given it proper, hand edited and checked English subtitles. The whole world should now be able to understand the dialogue as RUclips should be able to translate it into many languages.

Michael Johnson is always humble and gracious when speaking in praise of Usain Bolt. But let us not forget that Johnson himself was and is a giant of the track. He also deserves a tribute of this nature.

With two magnificent records that may never be beaten.. He is the biggest sporting hero of my life.but...he could do it if he wants to and if his body allows. He owes us nothing, the man is the greatest.if his body isn't up to it anymore then I just salute him for an unbelievable career. really sad ..but what a privilege to watch him over the last decade or so. Sadly not, he's way past his peak. His start is at an all time low, and he hasn't been training for more than the 100m. Despite not being as good as he was before, he will always be the legend, the GOAT.

Very good tribute. But the best for me was 2015. When he won the 100m. Not in wr time, but the manner in which it was done..😢😢. He was struggling with an injury before, while Gatlin was consistently running sub 9.8.
But he stepped up to the pressure, when many doubted him, and has proven himself so many times, that losing seems like winning.
Most were expecting him to take gold in the 100 at the 2017 WC, but he's human afterall. He has kept me interested in the sports for 10 years. I wish I could see more, but the time has come for him to go. He's truly a LEGEND. 🙁🙁. GOODBYE BOLT..🙁🙁
