  • For almost a decade, Usain Bolt was one of the most popular sporting figures in the world. In 2008, Bolt broke his first world record in the 100 meters during the Olympics, and soon after, he broke the 200 meter world record with a time of 19.30 seconds. The following year, Bolt struck again by breaking his own 100 and 200 meter world records (9.58 seconds and 19.19 seconds respectively). In just 2 short years, Bolt rewrote the record books, however his career was far from over.
Following this early success, Bolt remained the best sprinter in the world for close to a decade, but which moment made Usain Bolt the absolute G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time)?
In this video, we'll break down our pick for the moment that made Usain Bolt the undisputed GOAT of sprinting.

The fact that Bolt almost always slowed down at the finish line to do a taunt or a celebration is just insane. If he wouldn't have done that and just stayed focused, his times would have been even faster (if only by a fraction of a second). Yet he did those celebrations and still won virtually all of his victories in an extremely decisive manner. That was what I noticed the most about Bolt.

Just look at the NBA, practically all of the best players are giants, and that's because the hoop is way above the average persons head. It is natural that wr's get broken. So it is only one of the steps. Dominance in championships is an other argument. Then you have different distances. 400m is also classified as sprinting.

(After the events of Chael and Rhonda, and failing to get viewers for Mighty Mouse - when it came time to sell the company the strategy to inflate the number of viewers through hype was pretty clearly the best way for them to get the best price. Nothing better than any two-bit used car-salesmans' tactics)
