The Moment USAIN BOLT Became the UNDISPUTED G.O.A.T

- For almost a decade, Usain Bolt was one of the most popular sporting figures in the world. In 2008, Bolt broke his first world record in the 100 meters during the Olympics, and soon after, he broke the 200 meter world record with a time of 19.30 seconds. The following year, Bolt struck again by breaking his own 100 and 200 meter world records (9.58 seconds and 19.19 seconds respectively). In just 2 short years, Bolt rewrote the record books, however his career was far from over.
Following this early success, Bolt remained the best sprinter in the world for close to a decade, but which moment made Usain Bolt the absolute G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time)?
In this video, we'll break down our pick for the moment that made Usain Bolt the undisputed GOAT of sprinting.

The fact that Bolt almost always slowed down at the finish line to do a taunt or a celebration is just insane. If he wouldn't have done that and just stayed focused, his times would have been even faster (if only by a fraction of a second). Yet he did those celebrations and still won virtually all of his victories in an extremely decisive manner. That was what I noticed the most about Bolt.

Just look at the NBA, practically all of the best players are giants, and that's because the hoop is way above the average persons head. If you lowered the hoop in basketball I guarantee the entire demographic of best players would shift.
To be clear I'm not saying they aren't skilled, I'm saying given a similar skill level, it's just the guy with the most suited body who will win time and again. And that is what happens. @@TheChessRunner that actually makes sense, I guess that's why there are still people who consider michael jordan the goat because he was singlehandendly so dominant, even though lebron is obviously the better basketball player
Not necessarily. Over the years, the quality of diet and training for professional athletes is constantly increasing drastically. If a (then) world record holder sprinter from 30 years ago were to sprint today, his time would be much much better than it was then. Dominance is what truly makes somebody the GOAT
It's the fact that he basically got rusty from the injury, ran worse than previously, and his opponent was on track to rival him and beat him, but over all that, literally against all odds he still won and maintained the undefeated title
Yeah I think the main point here is not just the massive success, but pulling through in the face of terrible adversity. When you are at your weakest, and when the world has almost given up on you... but proving that it's *never* gonna stop you from 'showing up', *doing what you gotta do.* That's what makes it a G.O.A.T. defining moment.
I love how he interacts with the workers. Such a sweet and confident soul
Great job editing this video, must have took a lot of work, I've always liked Track just a little bit & this is the best channel I've ever found. Awesome footage with tonnes of educational trivia not just the stats etc. Hope you get more subscribers!!!

Plot twist: bolt was just walking during all his world records
That would b a huge L for him cause he getting fat now its too late to actually start running

Trayvon Bromell bronze medalist 2015 world champs 100m. Put some respect on his name.
Bolt used to say that the training was the hardest part and that the competition was easy.

He's the type of guy that appears every few decades and bring millions new fans to a sport. e.g Federer in tennis, conor in UFC, wood in golf, Messi and ronaldo in football, ..etc
Arnold for bodybuilding
Michael Jordan: and I took that personally.
Well... Conor had more to do with right time right place for when certain business descicions were made by the UFC to remove the meaning of the belts in exchange for hype, so I don't think he fits here. (After the events of Chael and Rhonda, and failing to get viewers for Mighty Mouse - when it came time to sell the company the strategy to inflate the number of viewers through hype was pretty clearly the best way for them to get the best price. Nothing better than any two-bit used car-salesmans' tactics)
He was a good athlete, but not exceptional for a champion by any stretch. Hardly defended a title, got golden deals served on a silver plate, got immediate rematches when he lost but never returned the favor and so on and so on.
*football* I like it
Messi and ronaldo to football 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What are you saying dude? Football was always super popular. Messi and ronaldo just increased the popularity little bit.
Magnificent! Bolt at his lowest moments defeating Gatlin at his highest moments, anyone imagine that? Yes we all can and have, Bolt is simple brilliant, this once in a lifetime human beings is so, is so...dam! I'm now convinced that there is life form on other planets where Bolt seems to have come 🌍🇯🇲😊🇯🇲
With a last name "Bolt", I dont think it's possible for him to lose a race when it matters most.
Its like he's doing this for fun, doesn't care about beating the world record.
He’s like Ronnie O’Sullivan if he cares he obliterates everyone
Please stfu
He is doing this for fun. This is who he is as a person he is an elite runner.
It's wonderful to see a person just doing what they absolutely love, not for breaking records, for making their heart race!
Saitama: *strongest* “just a hero for fun”
Usain Bolt: *fastest* “just a runner for fun”
It’s almost like he could have smashed his records by a larger margin if he would have just kept his head down and run instead of smiling at the crown near the end. Wild stuff. What an amazing athlete
Growing up in Jamaica, we ALL love track and field. We've been running competitive races since three. During olympics and track meets, we'd gather together In large groups with our pot covers to beat. And during the race, even though we're so far from them, we'd be jumping, claping, beating pots and cheering. And it's the best feeling when we win a race.
Awesome
For his hight Gatlin really gave his all, came extremely close to Bolt, I give him props for that, Bold was perfectly designed to run for his height, there will be another
people are only saying this now. When he first came onto the scene, everyone kept saying "tall guys usually don't run like this"
@@funsize198 Exactly. I didn't think the shorter sprints were a suitable race for such a tall dude. I felt the huddles or the 400 meters would be easier for Bolt's height. But surely I don't feel that way anymore.
I give Gatlin props. To me, it seemed like he had that race, but then got a little loose in the last 15 meters trying to stretch for the finish line prematurely. What an incredible race!!
Bolt is like Secretariat. Bigger than the competition, starts slow, then comes on like a speed train. What a perfect running specimen! Truly, the most beautiful runner I have ever seen!!
When bolt started running he was doing 400m, I believe and back then his height was actually viewed as a negative for running those short races. Plus he has scoliosis which the experts stated he shouldn't even be running. Much less be so fast. Noticed he always struggle getting out of the blocks, that's his height working against him

Superman: keep running flash, his gaining on us!
🤣🤣
He is the indisputable GOAT, but always remember, records are made to be broken, and someone will come along and beat his.
People are already breaking his records. That don't make them the GOAT. GOAT status is for a particular type of career not breaking a couple of records.
2024 Olympics I will be the new GOAT
@@jasonarthurconsulting no one is touching his 200m and 100m race❤️
I went to school with Bolt and he was awesome even then he actually never wanted to be a runner until one of his friends persuaded him to and now look at him good thing he took that advice..
look at that stride, so fluid and fast, he's like a gazelle.
The tribe of nephtalie was said to be as fast as a gazelle
He's a good person as well... I've been to Jamaica many times, never at the resorts, and his positive influence is seen everywhere.
True. Heard stories of him being very humble and easy to get along with. Fun and easygoing too, they say
Just want to give a shout out to the narrator of these videos. You are truly amazing. Keep up the good work. Salute.
A sports car should be designed and named after him.
It would be so fast it starts flying
The name itself gives it that power imagine the engine
