Waddy was clearly having fun. I think he and Keith were playing the same lead synchronized at one point. Waddy is no slouch and perfectly capable of being in Keith's band.

Keith's yellow telecaster is the only one he currently uses that is in standard tuning. Love the nasty tone he gets from it.
