Trampling all over the place, but maybe it isn't that bad that they don't know what to look for and not find anything then leave. :) I once took my cousin with me to one of my hot spots and what a mistake that was. I might as well just have put it in the newpaper.
Psilocybin mushrooms saved my life. It's just amazing how they worked even better than antidepressants. I got rid of depression and anxiety. I've also noticed clearer thinking and improved creativity. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
I love those little grey shrooms, they are the first to come up here in Mo. The most I ever found was in early March and picked over 150 of them. I like to put mine in egg wash, flour them and drop them in my fry Daddy...........soooooo Good!! Haven't been able to get out yet cause my 4 wheeler is in the shop getting worked on, but soon I hope.
What USDA zone are you in? I'm in 5a and b, right on the cusp. I notice the violets were in bloom when you were picking. Around here they're full on usually around Mother's Day so maybe it's just a little warmer where you are. I also know when the lilacs are in bloom is a good indicator, as well as nighttime temps being consistently 48-50F. Can't wait, I'm chompin' at the bit. Nice video!

If you watch his video again you'll see the wild violets are in bloom and that not all the trees have leafed out. When the nighttime temps are 48-50 is also a good indicator. If you're looking under elms or yellow poplar the elms are the very first trees to leaf out. That's also a good place to look for morels. Do a lot of homework and you'll find even more indicators.

It's this mentality that causes problems both to people and nature itself. The sun shines for everyone not just us. Personally I take what I can eat and ok some to dry BUT not everything I come across. I don't mean to piss you off, all I'm saying is take a minute to think about what I'm saying.
