What a joy to watch this! I felt like I have known the people in this video for a long time. Weird to have so many common feelings and thought with people from a totally different culture/country on various topics such as liking older objects to keeping not only your body healthy and in shape but your soul as well. What a beautiful concept! If I was living in Japan, I would have definitely sought out this teacher/dojo and join!
Suki desu! Rope is the string that connects everything. How you use it dictates the worth of a family or singular person and they always emulate that simple piece of cord. Grown men with an excuse to play with at times razor sharp blades. :P Yes I know...they usually use dull practice swords. But there is Tamishigiri. :) They train for decades. What for?? For the romanticized notion of what it's like to be a sword carrying//practicing "Samurai" (which you have to be born into or given the title by a Samurai family). We're not in the pre-1875 era where there were Samurai and it was legal to carry swords. Be in sword fights to the death....
... wasnt iai a speed tecnic? ... they are noobs the problem is that i didnt sense nothin but peace... and katana is for kill.....so there is something wrong...
@Matty Salvatore ah.....you are a pro of katana....FU idiot. i can kill because my iai is fast enough. in the video there is nothin but "like tai chi" gym style, slow, pacific, not letal. katana isnt for combat stress, is for kill expert ronin :D
@Matty Salvatore So It is about feeling like a Warrior but only being a weak coward? Why waste the time learning to dance when you thinking your fight training?
Unlike kendo u have no resisting opponent so u know about fighting nothing more then aikido guy. Go to kendo dojo and try to apply those lonnng techniques on someone who is willing to cut into your head as deep as it's nessesery by doing it as fast as it's possible. Iaido is good but mainly for knowing how to use sword. Not fight. And it's realy importent to know how to wear and draw a sword. But not so much as how to fight. Iaido is great but as suplement for kendo. Same with battodo. I was fighting with battodo guy. It was easy. Just easy

I wish I spoke Japanese so I could learn from this man
Ya never know! He could speak English n I just never asked.
@@Q2Japan Haha true
Enjoy your videos, though wish you had a series with more of a technical focus rather than on the individuals.
Yeah it'd be cool to have a separate channel for it!
剣術!
😏👌
Grown men with an excuse to play with at times razor sharp blades. :P Yes I know...they usually use dull practice swords. But there is Tamishigiri. :)
They train for decades. What for?? For the romanticized notion of what it's like to be a sword carrying//practicing "Samurai" (which you have to be born into or given the title by a Samurai family).
We're not in the pre-1875 era where there were Samurai and it was legal to carry swords. Be in sword fights to the death....
Gaijin like you will never understand. So maybe you should go back to some corner and keep your worthless comments to yourself.

the problem is that i didnt sense nothin but peace... and katana is for kill.....so there is something wrong...
@@matthieuschmitter6676 ahah
@Matty Salvatore ah.....you are a pro of katana....FU idiot. i can kill because my iai is fast enough. in the video there is nothin but "like tai chi" gym style, slow, pacific, not letal. katana isnt for combat stress, is for kill expert ronin :D
I laugh. They know moves but how many warriors under pressure? ZERO.
@Matty Salvatore So It is about feeling like a Warrior but only being a weak coward? Why waste the time learning to dance when you thinking your fight training?
@Matty Salvatore Save your money. Sounds like Nerds with sticks to me.
All FAKE .
Just easy
