I think this foundation shade looks fine, brightening. The overall look is very lovely and natural. Just wondering what shade you use in Surratt Surreal foundation. The Surratt rep I contacted said the shades were meant to coordinate between the formulas but have not heard anyone address that. And prayers to you on the passing of your mom.
That is the problem- the number on my Surratt wore off and I remember thinking that THAT one was not the right shade either. I am crazy... the color matching always drives me nuts. I wore Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 32 Beige Rose for years. I was matched by the global makeup artist who seemed to know what he was doing and spent a LONG time matching me. LOL! So - I should just pull that out and match it to all the foundations-. Thank you so muchx . xoxo
I just ordered 6.5 in the Dew Drops. I own both 8 and 9 in the Surreal but I ended up with those because Sephora was closing out on those and they were the closest available. 8 is too yellow and 9 too deep. Hoping 6.5 is the perfect match.

Shade 3 looks a little ( ever so slightly) ashy - (which means it's going to be a perfect match for me) - I feel you need a little more warmth over all. The concealer looks perfect The blush hasn't given you enough colour but I think it will once your overall foundation shade is warmed up. Thing is Abby as viewers we are only seeing what your camera is picking up if it looks perfect in daylight then it's perfect. I'm sorry you lost your mum; even when we know they are suffering it's hard. We are all sending you and you and your family love and support xxx

AnneP - that is a good question. I don't think OILY skin types are going to love this foundation because they naturally have lovely dewy skin- but I do think combo skin will love it with powder in certain areas. IT is just so light on the skin and not irritating which makes me so happy. If you can get you hands on a sample that would be great.... again- if we LIVED closer then I would run it over for you to try~!!! xoxo

So pretty! I am picking up this foundation.!!!! And by the way the color is fabulous so youthful, glowy , healthy!!! I think many youtubers/ influencers wear their foundation too dark. My expert opinion(😬) is to match your neck and always can warm up with bronzers and blush! So sorry about your mother ... My mother passed 21 years ago when I was 30 and she loved luxury makeup and so do I !!!!

I have mature skin and am a lot older than you are. I am weighing in whether to get the Surratt dew drops foundation or the Sisley ultra taint , the new foundation with the zebra top. By watching Michelle and you looks like Surratt is the winner though. What are your thoughts? I live in Toronto Canada and we take linger to get the launches but I did order from beautylish and I am hoping I also got the correct shade. I ordered 3 as the other colours looked way too dark for me. I figure I can work it with some soleil tan de Chanel and make it not look so ghostly.

Firstly Abby, sorry for your loss, Momma Bliss sounded like such an amazing and lovely lady! I don't think the shade is too light, the bronzer warms up your skin tone. Maybe a 2 W would suit a wee bit more. But please dont get me wrong, you're not not too pake looking or anything. I just feel that you might think the shade is a tad off and we have to go with our instinct.....but sometimes what I find is that I maybe think a shade is too light or dark one week and the next week I might love it! Slaves to this makeup game we all are! So in summary Abby, you look beautiful inside and out and I've no doubt your mother is very proud of you and your great channel! Hugs and kisses from Ireland 😚😙

Oh Abby! My condolences to you and your family! It's great to hear your mother shared your love for makeup, so your love for it will always make you feel connected to her. I got the Dew Drop Foundation in shade 8 and am loving it so far. Very natural and light on the skin. The only think is that shade 8 has a more orangy/pinkish (can't really tell) undertone than I had expected.

First I was going to buy the Chantecaille then I was going to buy the Sisley and now you and Michele are raving about the Surratt. Lol.
There have been so many new foundations releases and I am putting up my ROUND-UP of them all this coming week. I hope this will help you decide what you are looking for and might want to invest in. This one is a light-to medium coverage with a really nice dewy foundation. The Sisley is another one that is a light-to medium but with a more radiant versus dewy coverage and longwear. I have tried that Chantecaille but many, many moons ago... so I will leave that one to Michele. I promise to go through - all of them this next week. xoxo

Kathy P- I wore the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for years!! Then I had a rosacea outbreak and had to give up anything with fragrance. But now that my skin is doing better... Abby, so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother to cancer as well last December. I have never experienced such deep sorrow in my life, and the grieving journey continues on the daily. I can at least talk about her and her illness without tearing up a bit. Find comfort in knowing that she no longer has to suffer, that she is in a better place watching over you and her loved ones, and that you’ll be reunited again one day with her. I’m keeping you and your mama in my prayers.

So sorry for your loss. What a trouper you are to continue with your work and You Tube. I love this drop foundation on your skin. I think the colour is fine on you. I put these drops in my basket after seeing Michelle W’s video but wanted to see what colour you got and if you were as enthusiastic as Michelle. I definitely seem to now prefer thin foundations on my mature skin along with tinted moisturisers.

I only swatched it/dropped some onto the back of my hand 1 time so it's pretty much brand new. It's just been sitting in my foundation drawer for a couple of months (it isn't old or expired or anything). The name of the foundation is Physicians Formula Organic Wear Silk Foundation Elixir and the shade I have (that's too dark for me) is 02- Fair-to-Light. But honestly, the coverage is SO lightweight that even if you don't have a perfect match you can pretty much "make it work". Anyway, I would LOVE to send it to you (for free of course ❤) and see/hear your thoughts on it. I also purchased 4 shades of the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Dewy Blush Elixir and have only used 1 shade. The other 3 are LITERALLY brand new. I haven't even swatched them and would also like to send you one of them ❤ They are SOOOO GORGEOUS (well, at least the one I tried was good. I'm pretty much talking about the formula being AMAZING). I’m so sorry about your loss with your mom, Abby... How did you end up liking the Laura Mercier under eye concealer? I might want to try that if it’s not a matte formula... I love the Laura Mercier blush in Fresco!! It is beautiful and doesn’t emphasize texture at all! Some powder formulas do.. That foundation is stunning- NOT too light at all....just glowy and lovely- i don’t like heavy coverage at all.. I’m 59 and don’t need a lot of foundation..and like dewy!!

I’m sorry about your lost. My mother has passed away since 2015 and I’m still mourning everyday. Experiencing depression and finding meditation helps. Listening to Tina Turner blog and Tibetan bowl during the day while getting ready or reading. At night I’d listen to the rain and thunderstorm before bed. I’m getting better now but I guess the grieving stayed.

Abby, I’m so so sorry for your loss. When you described your beautiful mom’s qualities it was as if you were describing yourself. She does live on in you with Chanel lipstick just the icing on the cake. My mom passed a few years ago and into her nineties she used her Clarins double serum and never left the house without her Chanel make up. I came to the ICU unit at the hospital on one of her last days and she was telling a group of nurses how she took care of her skin. After the grief you’ll be able to enjoy the memories even more.😘.

The Surratt dew drop foundation is my new FAVORITE foundation!!!!! Love it!,,,
I think this foundation shade looks fine, brightening. The overall look is very lovely and natural. Just wondering what shade you use in Surratt Surreal foundation. The Surratt rep I contacted said the shades were meant to coordinate between the formulas but have not heard anyone address that. And prayers to you on the passing of your mom.
That is the problem- the number on my Surratt wore off and I remember thinking that THAT one was not the right shade either. I am crazy... the color matching always drives me nuts. I wore Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 32 Beige Rose for years. I was matched by the global makeup artist who seemed to know what he was doing and spent a LONG time matching me. LOL! So - I should just pull that out and match it to all the foundations-. Thank you so muchx . xoxo
I just ordered 6.5 in the Dew Drops. I own both 8 and 9 in the Surreal but
I ended up with those because Sephora was closing out on those and they were the closest available. 8 is too yellow and 9 too deep. Hoping 6.5 is the perfect match.

Abby, how does the Suratt Dew Drops compare to the Koh Gen Do Aqua foundation? I’m 60, dry, mature skin w some hyperpigmentation. Both look great on you!
Shade 3 looks a little ( ever so slightly) ashy - (which means it's going to be a perfect match for me) - I feel you need a little more warmth over all.
The concealer looks perfect
The blush hasn't given you enough colour but I think it will once your overall foundation shade is warmed up.
Thing is Abby as viewers we are only seeing what your camera is picking up if it looks perfect in daylight then it's perfect.

AnneP - that is a good question. I don't think OILY skin types are going to love this foundation because they naturally have lovely dewy skin- but I do think combo skin will love it with powder in certain areas. IT is just so light on the skin and not irritating which makes me so happy. If you can get you hands on a sample that would be great.... again- if we LIVED closer then I would run it over for you to try~!!! xoxo

My expert opinion(😬) is to match your neck and always can warm up with bronzers and blush! So sorry about your mother ...

I have mature skin and am a lot older than you are. I am weighing in whether to get the Surratt dew drops foundation or the Sisley ultra taint , the new foundation with the zebra top. By watching Michelle and you looks like Surratt is the winner though. What are your thoughts? I live in Toronto Canada and we take linger to get the launches but I did order from beautylish and I am hoping I also got the correct shade. I ordered 3 as the other colours looked way too dark for me. I figure I can work it with some soleil tan de Chanel and make it not look so ghostly.

Firstly Abby, sorry for your loss, Momma Bliss sounded like such an amazing and lovely lady! I don't think the shade is too light, the bronzer warms up your skin tone. Maybe a 2 W would suit a wee bit more. But please dont get me wrong, you're not not too pake looking or anything. I just feel that you might think the shade is a tad off and we have to go with our instinct.....but sometimes what I find is that I maybe think a shade is too light or dark one week and the next week I might love it! I got the Dew Drop Foundation in shade 8 and am loving it so far. Very natural and light on the skin. The only think is that shade 8 has a more orangy/pinkish (can't really tell) undertone than I had expected.
Jasmine- is truly is a fantastic foundation - so LIGHT on the skin and I feel like it makes me look healthy. YAY! I am faking that at the moment. Trying to pick online is so hard and we all have many undertones that it is sort of a crapshoot. Thank you for being here. xoxo

The foundation looks beautiful on you; I saw Michele's review too and everyone else I've seen love's it as well. This is my type of foundation. I swore I wasn't going to buy another foundation, but this really reminds me of a tinted moisturizer, so maybe I will cave. I think the color looks good on you, but you are the best judge of that since the color can be different on the computer or TV.

First I was going to buy the Chantecaille then I was going to buy the Sisley and now you and Michele are raving about the Surratt. Lol.
There have been so many new foundations releases and I am putting up my ROUND-UP of them all this coming week. I hope this will help you decide what you are looking for and might want to invest in. This one is a light-to medium coverage with a really nice dewy foundation. The Sisley is another one that is a light-to medium but with a more radiant versus dewy coverage and longwear. I have tried that Chantecaille but many, many moons ago... so I will leave that one to Michele. I promise to go through - all of them this next week. xoxo

Abby, so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother to cancer as well last December. I have never experienced such deep sorrow in my life, and the grieving journey continues on the daily. I can at least talk about her and her illness without tearing up a bit. Find comfort in knowing that she no longer has to suffer, that she is in a better place watching over you and her loved ones, and that you’ll be reunited again one day with her. I’m keeping you and your mama in my prayers.

I love this drop foundation on your skin. I think the colour is fine on you. I put these drops in my basket after seeing Michelle W’s video but wanted to see what colour you got and if you were as enthusiastic as Michelle. I definitely seem to now prefer thin foundations on my mature skin along with tinted moisturisers.

I only swatched it/dropped some onto the back of my hand 1 time so it's pretty much brand new. It's just been sitting in my foundation drawer for a couple of months (it isn't old or expired or anything). The name of the foundation is Physicians Formula Organic Wear Silk Foundation Elixir and the shade I have (that's too dark for me) is 02- Fair-to-Light. But honestly, the coverage is SO lightweight that even if you don't have a perfect match you can pretty much "make it work". Anyway, I would LOVE to send it to you (for free of course ❤) and see/hear your thoughts on it. I also purchased 4 shades of the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Dewy Blush Elixir and have only used 1 shade. The other 3 are LITERALLY brand new. I haven't even swatched them and would also like to send you one of them ❤ They are SOOOO GORGEOUS (well, at least the one I tried was good. I'm pretty much talking about the formula being AMAZING). I love the Laura Mercier blush in Fresco!! It is beautiful and doesn’t emphasize texture at all! Some powder formulas do..
That foundation is stunning- NOT too light at all....just glowy and lovely- i don’t like heavy coverage at all.. I’m 59 and don’t need a lot of foundation..and like dewy!!

Your foundation looks lovely and think the color works for you ,would love to try ,I have an oily t zone and dry everywhere else was worried may be too dewy , how does it compare to Tom ford stick foundation? As that is one of my favorites :)

I’m sorry about your lost. My mother has passed away since 2015 and I’m still mourning everyday. Experiencing depression and finding meditation helps. Listening to Tina Turner blog and Tibetan bowl during the day while getting ready or reading. At night I’d listen to the rain and thunderstorm before bed. I’m getting better now but I guess the grieving stayed.

I wholeheartedly agree with her that lipstick is a must when heading out! I was very intrigued by the Surratt Dew Drops foundation, so thank you for showing how it looks on the face. Abby, so sorry to hear about your Mom and thanks for sharing a picture of her complete with her makeup! I lost my Mom two years ago. I don’t think words can describe how significant a loss it is in our lives. There is something about enjoying makeup that comforts the soul. Brings us back to younger days perhaps when we watched our Moms get ready for nights out. Thanks for your videos. I do really like this foundation on you. Abby, I’m so so sorry for your loss. When you described your beautiful mom’s qualities it was as if you were describing yourself. She does live on in you with Chanel lipstick just the icing on the cake. My mom passed a few years ago and into her nineties she used her Clarins double serum and never left the house without her Chanel make up. I came to the ICU unit at the hospital on one of her last days and she was telling a group of nurses how she took care of her skin. After the grief you’ll be able to enjoy the memories even more.😘.

The good memories are flooding in and this dying stuff is not for the faint of heart.
