- We have a lot of rain in the last 24 hours. This morning I walked around checking to ensure everything was OK. It was early; I hadn't had my coffee, yet, I wanted to get out to make sure nothing needed my attention.

Wow! Ssooooo much water in the creek! I'm happy to hear that the garden studio is high and dry! I love the rain, but it does make yard work less enjoyable haha
I was a little worried about the studio, which is why I went out at the crack of dawn. 😉 that was a relief. The soil is settling well in the raised beds with all the rain, though.so that's a plus.

Looks like you weathered the storm well Michelle. But that creek could be scary until you know how it reacts. And yes, this is Florida. If there's water, expect gators ;-)
Yes! Thank you! I spend lots of time studying it during each season. One interesting plus is that when the wood chips were chipped back there 2 years ago, the remnants left 4 inches of cover. For the last 3 big rains, no water has passed the tree line. Being just a little higher back there seems to really widen the overflow.
Get the boat ready
Fortunately it receded within a day. You can see the mud stains in the grass. I owned a Foldable boat once, never got it in the water.
