Say what you want but George, Bootsy, Bernie (R.I.P.) and the rest of PFunk knew how to put together a funk groove that was tight as hell.
That's what's missing from Black music today. Nobody plays instruments anymore and that hurts Black music overall.
This one is with Junie Morrison, also RIP sadly / there is plenty of excellent "Black music" coming up; the whole Brainfeeder scene, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, Taylor McFerrin, etc. GC has just done the first sessions with Flying Lotus for an album on Brainfeeder. Anderson Paak has been in the studio with Nai Palm/Hiatus Kaiyote in Melbourne. The Soulquarians are still around; D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, etc.
I can't tell people what to listen to , But if u ask me everybody should have a dose of FUNK!!!!!!! At least 3 times a Day!!!!!!!
I don't care who or what you are! When you feel the FUNK, you're officially FUNKIFIED for LIFE! It's a life sentence!

Have you heard all the studio leaks? This was one of the weaker tracks imho. There is another track with more elaborate Fred Wesley horn arrangements and awesome Chris "Daddy" Dave drumming. The album is taking forever, but it looks like it will be serious 1970s-level Parliament

I love George and P-Funk, but this song is BS. I mean really. Some P-Funk classics can be long and repetitive but this is just junk. If this song was by anyone else folks would be going IN on it.
