On August 6, 2024, police responded to a disturbance at a bar where a drunk man was causing problems in La Crosse, WI. Officers gave the man multiple chances to get a ride home, but he insisted on walking. Police later checked on him and found that he had fallen into the river. They managed to quickly rescue him, but the heavily intoxicated man failed to comprehend the danger he put himself in. When informed of his arrest, the situation escalated, leading to a more challenging night for both him and the first responders.
