Nice collection,I didn't even know about a few of these now I'll be looking . Last month I found a great og copy of the Moondog at an estate sale, got through side 1 so far,its def different
Man there's so much from the 70s, easy good stuff to get is anything by Roy Ayers, Lonnie Smith, Nathan Davis but he's not cheap. Also Idris Muhammed, check out The Heatin Sytem by Jack McDuff 1972.
Boy do you have a great record collection!! Wish mine was that good lol. Would love a copy of that Leon Spencer album! Look forward to that Elvis video. Cheers Will 🙏
As Blue note was in my opinion dying out in the late 60s this was not the case for Prestige. They embraced soul and it shined in their late 60s releases. Great list I keep coming back to your channel because your one of the few that shows soul jazz and not the same old shit other people show. Good job you're a knowledgable collector!
Great list man! So many killer records shown that I’m very jealous of! Would love to find All Morning Long, Jammin with Gene Ammons, and that Melvin Sparks record! Paul Quinichette’s last name is pronounced like Kin-a-shay and it’s definitely not obvious that that is how it’s pronounced!
Your video came at a good time. I wanted to pick up some more Prestige albums. You have some great titles. Many are on my list but can't get at less than $200. Got some great ideas from your video. Thanks
Another thing that's great about those old Prestige is their sound quality. Phenomenal. And they always play a grade or two higher than their appearance.
My local shop had yesterdayba mint copy of A by Jimmy Raney, prestige , but I passed on it, (75 usd). Have been on a buying spree and I had never heard of Jimmy Raney, will now check this video to see if you name-drop him.

Another batch of wonderful vinyl
I need some recommendations on 70’s jazz funk albums, I did just pick up Mandrill but I need to know what titles to look for

Ha I said Clifford Jordan on the Trumpet, sorry Brownie.
Man I’m so mad I passed on a moondog then went home and searched him and went back it was gone.
Gotta be quick on the draw

Man, where did you find that John Wright - Makin' Out album? Been searching for a copy forever. Damn.
Got lucky at the drive-in theater flea market

Soul Junction is one I'd like to add to the collection. Same with Mobley's Message. Nice showings there.
Soul Junction and High Pressure are in constant rotation on my table. Thanks Eric!

@@big_burly_bro I've seen copies looked like a cheese grader, plays VG all day
Seems like that Viking of 6th ave documentary never came out.

I had the Dual Role Of Bob Brookmeyer with Jimmy Raney, a Prestige 10'. I regret selling it. He's an incredible jazz guitarist.
I think raney played with Stan Getz
would love to have a copy of that Mobley’s Message sheesh 😅
John Wright's South Side Soul is the best piano trio record of all time!
Facts!!
What do you use to clean your records
Just a light alcohol/water mix sprayed on a record brush, has worked wonders for years
I kills me to hear you throw your alums down after showing them. You must be more careful. I would hate one of your albums to become damaged.
@@deborah4737 It sounds worse than it is 😁
