  • Remove STL File Holes & Smooth with Meshmixer Tinkercad Import steps. A great skill when you are working with Thingiverse projects you want to modify the file in Tinkercad.
Mesh Mixer is a fabulous free tool from Autodesk. I am barely scratching the surface of its potential so feel free to ask for more tutorials.

I use both meshmixer and 3dbuilder to fix files for printing

I have not messed with 3Dbuilder at all. Who makes it?

@@HLModTech Microsoft. It often repairs stuff meshmixer can't figure out. It's an interesting program I haven't done too much with yet but it can do quite a bit

i have a problem importing a stl file to tinkercad the file it self prints really good but soon as i import it almost looks cracked and has pieces missing i tried to use this method to try and fix it but still does it and suggestions?

The issue is likely something from the original design program. Some walls have incorrect faces or something. Tinkercad is "interpreting" the design as best it can. It is the same with languages... something is often lost in the translation. It is possible you may be able to fix it in meshmixer. You can reach me at hlmodtech gmail of you want to share the stl for me to take a look at.

This video shows a technique you can use to reduce the STL file size. ruclips.net/video/JwqdsIoIsas/видео.html There is a chance that could help as well.
