- Uncle Larry turns over some rocks on the shallow shores of the mysterious River of Life, and takes a few pictures with God’s camera that he found laying on a park bench…with the lens zoomed out as far as it can go.
Oh, and he tries out a pedal too…

one is an instrumental solo record called "Plexi Soul" that is available here:

another is an instrumental collaboration with his dear friend Dean Deleo (originally from the Stone Temple Pilots organization) that is available here:

Just got done laying down 20 yds of concrete, sat on my bucket, turned on my phone and Larry was waiting on me to shoot the sheet. Life is good!
Lunch break blues! Perfect timing for me too! 🤙🏼
❤wow Jon..I have been watching cement pours…they been coming up on my alga. Hard work, skilled one.
That’s a lot of mud
It’s not bad when you have skilled hands that work for you. Blessed with a good crew.
@@a.m.phaneuf6164 Do youu know how to break up a Mexican wedding celebration?... You get a Mexican cement crew foreman to yell out to the crowd "MUD'S HERE!" My Mexican friend T-Bird told me that joke when I was 17 and we were pouring cement. I'm 3/4 Hispanic so I'm permitted to tell this joke.
The "sappy" kind of stuff you're talking about is my definition of being a real grown ass man. Gratitude is probably the #1 personality trait for a decent human
love it!
Great father. Great man. Great guitarist
thank you dude...i appreciate that
I don't normally comment on anything but, Tom just said something in this video that is so true and bares repeating to every guitar owner to consider ... "Just of yourself as the custodian of that instrument until your death. That's what I do. Nobody owns anything, we are just holding. We are renting these instruments for our lifetimes."
Uncle Larry, it’s important that you understand how much your listeners get out of your “classes”. It’s not merely the technical mastery you share but possibly more important, the wisdom you share. For context, imagine how much you would have loved getting to hear Chet Atkins or Merle Travis share their early experiences both in the studio and out. I hope that puts it in the right perspective. We love you man.
thank you bro i appreciate that
Dude said Chet Atkinson.
@@woodyboley9785 Auto fill my man but you are a right, should have read over before posting.
Very well said.
@@woodyboley9785You’ve never heard of Chet Atkinson? He’s a very underrated heavy metal shredder……😂
A bending masterclass. Thanks Buk. And, I think Fred Flintstone would have a Two Rock. Barney would play would play through a Magnastone.
Neil Young said it best in “This Old Guitar”
This old guitar ain't mine to keep
Just taking care of it now
It's been around for years and years
Just waiting in its old case
It's been up and down the country roads
It's brought a tear and a smile
It's seen its share of dreams and hopes
And never went out of style
The more I play it, the better it sounds
It cries when I leave it alone
Silently it waits for me
Or someone else I suppose
thank you, dear friend , may I say....
I thank the Lord every day that we get to play! Cheers Tom!!
True dat!! Amen and amen my good man!!
I Hope ‘Get Your Ass Pipe Checked’ becomes a bonus jam track.🤣
It appears Kenny is a great admirer of al things music and isnt afraid to show his respect for people.
my dad had a seafoam strat hanging in his studio, I remember seeing it growing up, he did sessions out of our garage and apparently the strat belonged to his guitarplayer friend TJ. TJ took it back eventually when we moved outta that house and I regret to say I never got to play it.
Excellent. Thank you.
love the thankful heart man.
Fred Flintsone would certainly play out of a Two Rock 😊
there ya go
Barney Rubble on bass.
@@leslieperry3001 Barney RUMBLE!

Thanks again Uncle Larry...
I'm thankful for you every day Uncle L ! Every time there's a new Homeskoolin' video poking its head out of the ocean of suggested clips I feel that same burst of energy and contentedness. Heartwarming story about Dec. 31 with your boys in the Colts box. Very cool ! That will be a truly beautiful scene. Thank you for bring us Homeskoolers along week by week through the year. You're spot on about Barnie and the tweed Fender.
Your boy has great taste in strats! That's my favorite!
Love that plunky picked by the bridge tone. Love doing that on hollowbodies too, so funky
This morning's post is just what I needed, we all need a whole lot of gratitude, if that is sappy, then i will take sappy gladly. As ever, thank you Uncle Larry.
We are just custodians in our lifetimes for great instruments. I love that!
Another great video Tom, looking forward to the new buk-trapp record
❤look at you and the kids going to the Colts!!!!!!!
I cracked up out loud on the bus home at the Bundy reference!
Marshall has great taste, that strat is beautiful !
That faux slide lick is killer!!
Love that 63 Firebird, it was made the same year I was born. Sounds sweet, especially when you play it! Your knowledge and advice that you share with everyone is very inspiring and very much appreciated, and I admire your sense of humor also and how down-to-earth you are. Thank You, and have a great weekend!
Tom, is there a day when you're not inspired ?! every time you play it's great , and never the same thing...thanks so much for these videos, count on me if there's some kind of subscription !

Done with work at 11 am. Having a sixr. This is great. Thank you for your time you share with us.
I have been sick as a dog for the last couple of days with the vid. The playing and tid bits about life have been helping the healing. Thanks Uncle Larry.
Sappy & Sentimental, sounds like a new album. We love it when you get that way. It's the humanity part of you that we love.
Man.! I love looking at the beautiful mahogany Firebird..! Reminds me of my classic Tbird bass..🔥
I've been in 2 or 3 slums on the continent of Africa...the worst was a place called Kliptown, near JoBerg...one was a fishing village on Lake Victoria in NW Tanzania...and one was in Kigali, Rwanda...yes, we have it good here in the USA compared to so many places aroound the globe.
You are a national treasure! I laugh at nearly every word...chord strummer/brewery serenader here!
I have this same conversation with my son all the time. We have it pretty damn good here. Zoom out
Have a great day Tom! Thankyou!!!
Uncle Larry brilliant as usual ✌👍
Sappy and grateful is pretty damned awesome! “…bless us everyone”.
Damn, the Tone!!! Awesome!!!
You're playing helps a smidgin' too...
Luv that Bird (as usual). Someday I'll get a nothern'
8:00 - Geez Dude... my eyes are swelling up. You are a really good person and have a beautiful heart. I sure appreciate you!
Love that Firebird! You really play it well.
‘preciate the reminder.
You seem to be always
w/the wisened approach,
& tone!
“Great lesson, huh?!?”
Guitar playing in the beginning of this video was quite extraordinary.
Tom, thank you taking the time to make these. I really appreciate it
Yeah man, I owned one, I don’t like the pickups
It’s all about “the plumbing”, Tom. Everything else is bonus material.
Ah... My favourite, most classy bluesman IS BACK 😮❤
Love that tone down low on the neck!
Just saw a promo for the Willie Nelson Tribute concert this weekend, featuring you, Uncle Larry! Can't wait to see it.
Tom, we appreciate your moments of effusive appreciation! Thank you, brother.
"Barney is tweed Fender guy..." Love it....and totally agree! hahaha
Just want to say thanks for the playing and teaching over the course of the last few years.
I wore my Homeskoolin hoodie to a nativity at kids school and was apt as it was just songs and music.
Have a great Christmas with the kids Tom and all the best from England 🍻
PS I need to get a firebird one of these days as you can certainly sell those tones
Nice guitar 👍 stay golden
Many people move through life being angry about what they don't have. The wisdom of perspective is being humble and grateful for what you have, whatever it may be. Thanks for another great video Tom and a gentle reminder about perspective.
Your channel is such a breath of fresh air in a world of thinly veiled infomercials disguised as guitar “content”. Thanks for keeping it real and that Firebird is outrageous.
Great as always! Here’s an idea, 12 days of Larry…I feel like that could get interesting
I liked this video too. Just nudging the algorithm along.
Nice advice at the end. lol
Tom, the words about renting are very strong! It's good if our children and our children's children continue our rental...
I got to say something, remember the Wrecking Crew session guys and Muscle Shaols, man, as someone standing outside looking in, you're at par with them. I really enjoy your videos, I love your input on life as a musician. Not always easy but it's something you enjoy and I'm sure you wouldn't trade that life for anything else. Cheers and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Hey Tom, thanks for the how not to play sports bar blues lesson. Your tone was awesome! Btw, that sea foam green Strat is my fantasy guitar.
Love the „custodian for a lifetime“ line of thought
Uncle Larry, pretty cool hearing you give a shout out to the guy's guitar at Mass St. Music. My in-laws live in Lawrence and every time I visit them, I stop at that shop. Really good guys and store!
In the right lighting, I notice you can see the shadows of the sunburst on the top, but in other light it is quite lemony, Magical. Like an eclipse. ...but I still like the sound of that 335. Thanks, Tom!
Wow Tom seems you been spending some time down at the crossroads. Really playin some great blues blues man.
