I see this as their tribute to Dream Theater. This is Prog-Metal at its best. I know people who don't like Babymetal, but when I played them Tales, they had to bow their heads in respect. ;-)
For anybody new to BM clicking on one of their videos and not knowing what you're going to hear or see. And being confronted with this...WOW ! ...And you're right, music doesn't get any better than this... Viva Baby Metal
Dream Theater's Dance of Eternity is considered one of the most complex pieces of popular music with 108 time signature changes. This BABYMETAL song is a tribute to Dance of Eternities and to make things even more complex adds overlapping time signatures, singing, and dance! Boom!
@@TheKagedReview Absolutely, I think you will be surprised by how closely they track, especially the middle break. PS DT also seems to draw heavily on Night on Bald Mountain.
Honestly, the last I heard of Dream Theater was A Change of Seasons which was some time ago lol. That was pretty amazing within itself. I'll definitely check it out though.
Thanks for getting this one out and showing your appreciation of their real talent. I think we all understand in this instance why you've had to use a compilation video - usually they just aren't good enough but at least this compilation was taken from the right show with some fan cam footage mixed in - they have only ever played this live the one time, at Tokyo Dome (I think there is another compilation with clips from other shows and other songs and that is just wrong on every level). I believe Mike Portnoy (ex of Dream Theater) has said that he was also impressed when he heard Tales of the Destinies.
Yeah, I hated using compilation for this one but at least the sound quality was good enough. As long as I can share the music I've done my part lol. It's just incredibly talented.
The other Guitarist here is Takayoshi Ohmura. Most of the members of the Kami Band have other gigs outside of Babymetal and Mr. Ohmura has also played in the touring band for former Guitarist of Megadeath, Marty Freedman.
There is a lot of what was already said in the comments. So let me talk about a subject that you touched on but wasn't discussed in the comments: it was a huge crowd and a crazy stage at Tokyo Dome. Babymetal has no problem being ambitious when it comes to stage design ! The stage was dropped right in the middle, an other 360 degrees stage, with audience all around. A tribute to their old Budokan show. What I think is amazing about Babymetal, their songs and performances have a lot of things going on and I'm usually a minimalist (fan of Pink Floyd for example), but I love this stuff ! :-) Not sure how they do it, opposites attract or something....?
It's such a pity that Amuse are so restrictive, because the original video you mentioned including The One is such an incredible masterpiece. The idea with the neckbraces was just genius. Too bad so many people will never see it. Dream Theater (who they are obviously referencing with this song) consists of some of the most talented Metal musicians on this planet, and this is on par with them.
Even when you see the DVD/BluRay of this song from Tokyo Dome, unfortunately you don't see anywhere near enough of the Kami Band. A strange compilation this one but at least you managed to get your review to upload. You may of had Dailymotion suggested to you before? You can get songs uploaded on that site directly from the Official DVD's but of course you have to link and sync. With this song and Syncopation, even showing a faded video on RUclips won't get past copyright, so you can still link but just don't display the video. Thank you for your review. I always marvel at the technical skill with BabyMetal as you have three vocalists, a backing band of four and backing tracks that all have to be kept in time!
@@TheKagedReview The BabyMetal fans are used to the link and sync. As I say with some videos, you can't even show a muted screen but no visible video and a countdown still works :-)
People use 'made by a committee' as a negative about Babymetal. But no regular band could ever possibly write the variety and quality of songs that Babymetal has. I care about results.

Great reaction i have a special babymetal song for you to reveiw.its a song called over the future rising force version there are also complation versions too.its a cover song the original song is performed by karen girls.it is a special song to babymetal and babymetal fans.its the song that got babymetal started and it holds a special meaning to yui metal.it got her through some rough times.please do this reveiw.its a rare song and its only been done once live there are no studio recordings of this but i wish there was its awesome.
The two solo songs from that night for Yui and Moa are cool too. Moa's was Love Machine and I forget what Yui's was, Chokoto Love or something like that... Love Machine is the shit, I wish 20 year old Moa would do that again but cover the whole song since she only did like 1/3 of it.
Always love your detailed and interesting reviews of BABYMETAL songs :) As usual this goes straight into my Babymetal Reactions playlist.....keep up the good work! Hideki Aoyama is their first choice regular drummer. Other drummers have been used occasionally, but only when Hideki is not available. What you describe as the "swing" break I think is more accurately called "ragtime"......? In my humble opinion the BABYMETAL guitarists are actually on an equal level with top western players like Steve Vai/Joe Satriani. Check out this early video of a young Takayoshi Ohmura demonstrating his formidable playing ability (this is from well before he joined the Kami Band) ruclips.net/video/f4LXo6MvEk8/видео.html
SU-METAL IS OUR QUEEN, enough said.
Talent is definitely the operatve word here. I was amazed when I first heard the song then I got totally blown away by the live performance. GJ!
I'm telling you man, I Fought to share this one because it's too damn talented not to. Thanks for checking it out!

Fk yeh , we all bowed our heads .
When I first heard this song I knew that they would not perform this live. Because it seems almost impossible to perform live. And here we are.
