    It's still mind boggling that they performed this live at all. It's a shame they have never done it again given how well they did it and what an epic song it is. They have mentioned in a couple of interviews wanting to try it again at some point, but it hasn't happened, so we live in hope.

    Despite people in the chat telling you that the lights were phones in flashlight mode, they were neck braces that could be activated remotely.

    I recommend that you check out the live show “Legend Metal Galaxy (2020)”. It was a 2 day, 2 completely different setlists show, featuring both East and West Kami Bands (1 for each day, although for the last song every day all 8 players played together)
    It’s a celebration of the album that came out after Metal Resistance, called “Metal Galaxy”, and it’s definitely one of the best concerts from Babymetal
    Home of the Trilogy Of Light.. amazing musical experience, 3 songs of the highest quality

    A unique performance and once in a lifetime for a reason, they will never perform this again as much as the girls or anyone claims about doing it all over again.
    Tokyo Dome 2016 was really something special.🦊🤘🔥

    I figured it out! Babymetal used the mint flavored time machine from Awadama Fever to slow down time in order to perform this live….the insanity, and epicness…

    You want to see epic? Check out the Metal Galaxy concerts (2 full concerts are on YT) - they do IDZ one night and Road of Resistance the other night at the end with 5 ladies on stage and 2 bands. It is worth looking up.

    Great reaction, thanks!
    Until "Tales of the Destinies" I wasn't much into prog metal and my first reaction was pretty much WTF. But watching this unique performance I realized that all made sense. It's just incredible they got to play "TOTD" live. And it looks like only Fujioka-sama (RIP) and Ohmura-sama dared to do it. Now, this moment, followed by "The ONE" is one of my favorite BABYMETAL moments (if not my absolute favorite). I really love rarities and oddnesses (I'm a statistics guy) and this performance ticks all the boxes, for sure.
    And I found myself being also a fan of cute moments like the rare moments the ladies (and specially Su-metal) go out their character. And that was what happened when Su saw the neckbraces lit for the first time during "The ONE". We can see her amazed face, just before she went into her usual full metal mode again.
    Until next time!
    🤘🦊

    first 👍... and now, this is actually only the first half of the song..."The One" is the second half...the continuation of "Tales of the Destinies" "Tales of the Destinies+The One" is actually one song. the piano melody at the end of "TotD" is the transition...the beginning of "TO"

    I totally hear you about the outcast and about everybody crapping on you. I'm in a very similar situation. All I'm wanted for is the finances I bring to the table, after that I'm just crapped on all the time by my family and get insults thrown my way. So I totally hear you. I have very few friends also because I've come to be very selective because of how much my family has hurt me. This band, in may ways, has saved me. There are songs they do that always gets me a bit emotional, The One being one of them. You mentioned that you couldn't believe they were able to perform Tales of Destinies live as it is so technical, what with the timing changes and all that throughout the song, another mind-blowing fact is that Su's iem's weren't working for her for this song, so she couldn't even rely on her iems to help her with the timings. She had to do everybody by memory and by ear as she listened to what she could hear musically.
    You asked also if Yui is alive. Technically, nobody fan-wise knows. Ever since she broke away from the band due to health reasons she hasn't been seen since, except ONE time in I think it was 2019 at a concert one of her friends from Sakura Gakuin was performing. It was said Yui was sited there. After that we have not heard a single thing. That being said, as they said in your twitch stream, both Moa and Su have stated that they keep in contact with Yui. Also, Moa and Yui were best friends. Moa is a VERY emotional young woman. If you ever want to know anything about the band that could potentially be bad, look to Moa for your answer. Su is VERY good at hiding her emotion. Moa... not so good lol So IF Babymetal, for instance, were to disband, then on their last show, I can GUARANTEE you that Moa will be crying. Which is how I knew right away that when Babymetal went on their 2 year hiatus, that they would return. She was all smiles and happiness after their last show. With that said, whenever they are asked about Yui, Moa doesn't get all sad and emotional. This tells me that Yui is alive and well. I think she is doing better from whatever was wrong with her and is just leading a quiet life for now. Hopefully one day we'll see her again. She IS still part of the Amuse talent pool, so in theory we'll hopefully see her again at some point.
    Anyhow, thank you for that reaction. You should also check out their official version of The one, at least privately, as it's pretty epic. I really wanted to hate this band when I first found out about them because of youtube suggestion. I hated the name, and I thought it would be stupid. Boy was I wrong, and I owe them so much because of how much they have been helping me these last couple of years through dark times. I'll be going to my first Babymetal concert when they arrive here in Vancouver, BC and I'm really looking forward to seeing them! It's a very small venue, so it should be a bit more intimate, and I have a friend that works there too, so maybe I'll get lucky and be able to get a really good spot. I'd love to meet them and thank them for everything, but I don't want to get my hopes up about that. I know they are very protected, and with Vancouver being as bad as it is right now, security might be extra tight for them seeing as we have amongst the worst crime rate in North America and the worst in Canada.

      Sorry to hear about your struggles, glad Babymetal is able to help you in some way.
      What I think Yui just had a health problem which prevented her from touring, but I think in regular life she has no issues (any more), for example she a back problem was a theory (based on limited facts). I heard from a Japanese fan Yui was in school/uni doing fine. Based on her good bye message, I think she wants to pursue her original career again, she was a child actress and wants to get back in acting. Just my personal theory of course.

    • @jeremyboynowski3784
      @jeremyboynowski3784 10 месяцев назад

      @@autohmae Thanks, and I hope your theory is closer to what happened to her than mine. I always had a suspicion that she developed the same medical issue that her family member had developed but it was discovered earlier in her and so they were able to treat it better. I do pray for her and hope she's happy and doing well. Hopefully we get to see her again one day doing whatever it is she decides to do!

    Excellent reaction and thanks for doing both songs together, the way they deserved to be experienced. 'Tales of the Destinies' is their tribute to Dream Theater (possibly to their song 'Dance of Eternity').
    All those lights during the piano bridge between the two songs were plastic neck braces with LED bulbs remotely controlled to all light up at the same time ... everybody was given one to wear as they went in (and to keep as a souvenir), so 55,000 light up neck braces. On the second night another 55,000 but with red LEDs.
    'Tales of the Destinies' and 'The ONE' started life as one song, they were split quite early in the writing process.
    With 'The ONE' they saw as they toured the world that their fans were learning Japanese to sing along with them. They challenged themselves to learn a song completely in English to reciprocate and as a sign of their love and respect for the fans (who they had also named 'The ONE' as well of course).
    This song is effectively their love letter to the fans ... and you are a member of The ONE of course.
    You were impressed by this performance - you will be even more impressed to know that as they started 'Tales of the Destinies' Su-metal's IEM failed and she was taking her cues by listening to the drums (I think it started working again quite quickly, but how must she have been feeling when it stopped working, doing this song for the first - and only to date - time).
    Just to clarify the time lines - this was 2016 (around September I think).
    Yui's last performance was in October 2017.
    Mikio's last performance with the Kami Band and BABYMETAL before his tragic accident was at Legend S in December 2017.
    Yui officially left BABYMETAL in October 2018.

    They gave out neck braces with remote controlled lights on them that they could turn off and on at certain points of the concert white for this night red for the other night, 110 thousand in all, the fans got to take them home as souvenirs, they had light up masks for Su's 20th and wrist bracers for Moa's 20th. Only my mother and I guess my boys and my sister in law and her partner ever cared about me so I understand how you feel, this band has helped me and so many others, if you talk to fans most of us seem to have similar stories even the guitarist for the support band on the Australian tour tweeted how they had done the same for him so it was like a dream come true for him to be able to meet and work with them, they are something special.

    Who else could do this? You can hear the love and respect for these young ladies by their Kami’s and their audience.
    They were young teens showing more professionalism than any artist, band or group on the planet at any age.

      They worked really hard, lots of people work really hard, but many don't get the success they had. I would be very grateful as well if my ego didn't get to big. Which is one of the great things about Babymetal, they stayed humble. They were at some point 'the most famous Japanese teens outside of Japan'. Those kinds of praise alone and just being a kid could get to your head, but it didn't and they are great people because of it.

    Although the concert was in Tokyo, Japan, I can understand why they chose the English version. 😁
    Many fans said that night: "I can't believe they performed TOTD." 😲🤯
    In 2016, few bands used technology to control the lighting of the entire audience. So not only BabyMetal's singers, dancers, musicians and even their equipment are top-notch.💯

  • @autohmae
    @autohmae 10 месяцев назад +2

    Babymetal is... unusual to say the least, it was very likely not to succeed. But it wasn't the parents which were the obstacle.
    These ladies did have their family support them. The worst their parents did was (as we know).
    Moametal's mom: "you can not work if you don't do well in school."
    Which as I understand the company they work for also has that policy.
    Su-metal's parents: "don't sing so loud, the neighbors might complain". That was from before she was in Babymetal. It's just her style though. 🙂 Which is why it works so well with metal music.
    Other than that, (from what we know) they got all the support they needed. These were fairly reasonable requests.

    I love this version of The One, gets me every time. However, with that said, I never could get into Tales of the Destinies. It is too disjointed and discordant for me.

  • @SirGreenDay

    2 things. BM does not have a lead guitarist. Both guitarists trade lead/rhythm parts at various points in every song. 2nd. That is NOT Mkkio. It's Leda Cygnus and of course, Takayoshi Ohmura with his pink glitter guitar. And Yui didn't leave the band until 2018. These shows were in 2016. Maybe, do some research. You said a bunch of incorrect things.

    • @Hymnodic
      @Hymnodic 10 месяцев назад

      Mikio and Ohmura are the guitarists here. You should probably do your own research before you criticize others of not doing theirs.
