Wahoo that was the busiest reserve month I've had in a LONG time! Thanks everyone for being along for the ride ✈️Whose ready for some awesome summer travel vlogs this month July?!
Once they get the rest of the pilots flying, I'm guessing reserve won't be enough without some new flight attendants. I'm not sure how they move flight attendants from every other month on reserve to full time flight schedules, if there is two month flying and one month on reserve, but I'm guessing you will be moving up the seniority ranks soon.
I just finished day 3 of flight attendant training for Flair airlines in Canada. Got 100% on both exams so far. I’m a 57 year old nurse who retired last Friday. The youngest in my class is 21. We are training virtually for the first two weeks then they fly us from YVR to YYZ for a week of cabin training. We fly 737-800 and 737 Max 8’s. We are Canada’s only independent ultra low cost carrier. Hopefully I’ll meet you in an airport one day. Stay safe
I worked passenger trains and really enjoyed my job as a conductor. Unfortunately I was in a crash and got hurt and had to retire, but listening to these videos it brings a smile to my face. Good luck in your career.
That crew scheduling call is like when I get up in the morning just before my alarm goes off, I just think today I'm going to be on top of things ! Also I could see you being an instructor what with all the advice you give to up-and-coming flight attendants in your videos.
Julia! You mentioned becoming an instructor, my mom just became one for Envoy (American Eagle) and her first day is tomorrow! She is already loving it!
Deadheads are my jam...I once operated to Hong Kong and deadheaded back in business class. It's those moments that make all the 4am wake up calls and 4 leg days worth it 🤣
Random observation - we have the same fridge. I had a flight from Buenos Aires to Miami once that had two 10,000 meter drops and was so turbulent the FA never got out of their seats except to rescue passengers from luggage overhead bins popping open. It was the only fully take-landing white knuckle flight of my life. Pilot got a big ovation at the end.
Julia; Excellent presentation! While working as a flight attendant for regional airlines, we experienced turbulence often. I worked on the EMB 145 Regional Jet (50 passengers). Yes, sometimes the captain told me to sit in my jump seat for the entire flight. Stay safe! Have fun!
I fly often on a CRJ-200 to work monthly . That plane handles turbulence beautifully for a small plane! But then again I love turbulence, so it's funny for me to watch people grip their seat sight LMAO! Yal be safe and take care
I’ve noticed recently you started experimenting with more cuts, first person perspectives and shots from new angles. It’s really cool, good job Julia! 👏🏽😎
My Sister worked for a small airline as a flight attendant/ ticket agent/ floor sweeper, you name it. It was in the '80's so I got to fly free any time I wanted. To this day when I see someone being rude to an airline employee I immediately step in and speak up. I am 56 now but I'm 6'8" 255lbs. still athletic, and very intimidating. Julia, you remind me of a younger version of my sister, that's what prompted me to comment. I will not tolerate anyone being rude to anyone in your industry over something you have no control over. If you talk back you will lose your job, don't worry, there are plenty of guys like me out here that will do it for you! Godspeed!!
This is the first time i see your video, but i immediately liked it. You have a calm way of talking, that's nice because so i (and other people for who English is not the first language) can understand easily. It was interesting to see your job and the way you organise it.
life returns to a better kind of normal when you can hold a block either monthly or quarterly. Imagine when you can plan a life. I was a flight attendant for 16 years domestic and reserve to start for a few years, then in charge position flying long Narita Japan and Nagoya layovers (5 days or 7 days) big money and great pax. Glad to see a smiling happy flight attendant's face. Thanks for sharing your flights.
When I see a new video from you, it just makes my day better! You are such a ray of sunshine Julia 🤗 Glad you get to head back to PA a little early to see Eric and Luna 🐕❤
It looks like that weather in Chicago did not want to cooperate at all! Glad ya'll made it safe! Worst turbulence I've ever experienced was flying over the Grand Canyon area on my way to Vegas years back. For the last hour or so of the flight, I felt like I was holding my breath the whole time.
I actually landed at DCA airport last week on a flight from Boston! Seems we must have missed each other by just a tiny bit haha! Hope you had a great holiday yesterday Julia!
You are truly the one and only jetting...Julia! Enjoying your vlogs. One of my flight attendant friends does both flight attending and is an instructor at the training center. You could totally do that when you are ready to.
7-12-21 OMGOSH, I L❤️VE all the music you chose for this video and how you edited it. Very enjoyable❣️Cant wait to see where you Eric and Luna spent the 4th. (I didn’t peek ahead)
Eeek I'd be a basket case on that flight with all the rocking and rolling LOL! Great shot @ 6:57. I like Quaker Oat Squares too. So awesome you ran into your instructor friend! Hmm, there's something you don't find on a bus everyday @8:25 LOL Yay for the early release!
Hahaha I know right about the bus?! Thank you Scott, it was nice to see my friend again! I was SO happy for the early release! Hope you had a great holiday weekend! 😊
This is great! Thanks! Do you ever share your makeup products used, like at the beginning of this one, or do a full tutorial? You always look so polished and pulled together, but I'm sure it's all conducive to flying. Thank you!
hey julia! i just wanted to say that i started watching your videos for a story i’m writing about aviation/flight attending and it’s been ever so useful!! and i now have just the upmost respect and adoration for you !! thank you for sharing what you do :D

Hey! I'm actually like 13, and I have watched so many videos of yours! All are so interesting and fun, really love them. You've already given me soo many tricks for this career, Thank you so so much!! 🤗❤️✈️✨ May you always shine bright!! Lods of love 🦋
I heard on a vlog the other day that your company has finished calling back all of the furloughed F/As and is now seeking new applicants. Things are definitely looking up.
1:51 I've been buying those MADRAS LENTILS from Costco for about 3 years now (they sell them on sale 2 or 3 times annually). And yes they are a super-easy meal on the go. All that is needed is a paper bowl and spoon. Best to also have a paper plate or something to place over the bowl of lentils as you heat it in microwave -- so it does not splatter.
And for any of you reading this and trying them first time - my "hack" is to follow bag instructions but heat bag only 1/2 minute in micro. THEN pour out 1/2 bag into paper bowl. Then heat that until REALLY hot. If you do not like it thick as it comes, simply crack part of an ice cube and put that in the bowl right after heating it up....helps cool it off quicker AND thins out it for better texture.
Flying over the alps we had massive down draft and updraft. I was in aisle headed for bathroom when I initially got slammed into ceiling, then about 2 seconds later into the deck. Crawled back to my seat and sweated it out until landing.
Good video. In 56 years of riding the bus, I've never figured out why people won't stay belted. I always have kept it fastened. Then again, I've yet to be injured in turbulence, either...
Hey Julia how was your Independence Day in Wildwood, NJ did you go on any rides at Morey's Piers like The Great White roller coaster and did you ride the tramcar? "Watch the tramcar please"!
It must have been really bad if you had to stop your drinks service if it was that bad with turbulence. I hope you had a great 4th July with Eric and Luna xx
When i was a kid my dad worked for ozark/twa for 20+yrs. I came out of the military and worked for Ozark/Western Pacific/USAirways. So i have flown lots of miles and been thru some of the worst turbulence. Even though i do not work for the airlines i still fly 2-3x a year. somehow in the last 6 months i have developed a fear of turbulence to the point on our last trip Amanda thought i was going to have a heart attack. So i would have been quietly freaking out on the chicago flight if it was that bad. I am glad it a turned out safely. That said we went to Tenerife from Dallas in august 2021 and loved so much we are going back (going to make it a yearly journey). I told Amanda she may have to knock me out like the A-Team did to Mr T everytime they needed to fly but we are not missing out on Tenerife due to my fear of turbulence. Not sure if we will fly american/iberia or Delta/Air Europa will have to see what the fares are. If you like Hawai'i you would love the Canary Islands (well not Las Palma right now). Tenerife is the main island and it is beautiful.
4:00 Growing up, my dad was a GA pilot, so we flew a lot when I was a kid. Mostly in light single engine planes. Dad would do parabolas, (something airline passengers usually don't like) and we didn't think a flight was any fun unless the baggage in the back was flying around.
Stumbled onto the channel and watching/reading comments made me think that it'd be really cool to see a video about training and duties that most commercial passengers don't see or think about and how procedural changes are communicated, etc. I see comments ranging from aviation enthusiasts to kids who are afraid to fly and I think it would appeal to the whole range. Plus, Flight Attendants are expected to do more and know more than ever. Just imagine what could have happened to US Airways 1549 had the cabin crew not been properly trained and ready to deplane even though the aft emergency exits were unusable. I see so many videos about disrespectful passengers being abusive to the crew on their flights and I think some folks could use the perspective and understand that just because they hand you a beverage and meal doesn't mean they are exactly like the waiter at your favorite restaurant (not that you should be so disrespectful to a waiter either).
Chicago O'hare is my worst nightmare. In 1989, We flew in got there around 12:30 gate 16B our connecting flight was C12, we got on board and then the plane was having a mechanical situation so we left the plane and walk the terminal without any announcement they change our plane to gate C2, however the passenge who told us got mine and 1 of my mothers carry ons, but my mother had to go back on the original plane to get the other. By the time we finally took off it was 3 hours later when we originally was supposed to have left around 2ish.
I believe you were an attendant on a flight I took. Living out of a suitcase. Did it in the Oil/Chemical business. Now I'm 55 retired with COPD. Imagine that. Prayers young lady.
Oh i remember a flight going to spain the Turbulence was awful 😱 Server flooding at the airport ( was many years ago) But you don’t forget something like that . So happy for you that travel getting much much beter now , bit more flights . 🥰 Take care
On a flight over NYC on a clear night, we hit 5 minutes of really bad clear air turbulence. The FA was thrown up to the ceiling & then to the floor. The service cart was very close. I thought she was injured but she got up & continued with service. The seat belt sign went on immediately but she carried on with service until nobody was taking drinks.
I had a very turbulent flight in the US from IAD to MCO. There was a tropical storm in between and the crew could not avoid it. The inflight service started, and the crew just took my order when they were told to sit down. Lucky i was given my food and drink before they sat down for the rest of the flight. I was even allowed to leave the trash at my seat. The captain simply ordered a big cleaning crew. They came on board already when i left the plane….
Great video, Julia. I just got back from visiting family for 2 weeks and i was in Dallas twice. I flew on a 737 airbus, my first time on one. Had a great time on my trip, but only thing that would of made it great was meeting you, but i guess you were busy.
I have the most respect, appreciation and love for noone more than Airline Flight Crews. You guys & gals are some of the most overworked, underappreciated and abused people on Earth, and we need to recognize you more often, and treat you with more respect and kindness. Thank you for all that you do, and I hope that you stay safe and healthy, and if anyone harasses you, just PUNCH them square in the nose and throw them out of the plane if you need to (even in flight), you have my blessing. 🤣🤪 🕶

Yep that could have definitely been part of it!
“Crew scheduling telepathy” lol

I definitely had it that day 😂
Mine also I'm about 60 miles south west of Chicago

Oh i remember a flight going to spain the Turbulence was awful 😱 Server flooding at the airport ( was many years ago)
But you don’t forget something like that .
So happy for you that travel getting much much beter now , bit more flights . 🥰
Take care
Oh my gosh you definitely don’t forget something like that! 😳
What about that TV in Chicago though! My goodness what is that, 40 inches?? Sorry I'm geeking out lol but I never get hotel rooms with HUGE TVs lol.
Omg I’m such a nervous nelly when I fly. Watching your videos always helps.
3 leggs, one DH, 2 day trip... what a dream lol
Very cool. I have often wondered about crews, particularly the layover time before a return trip.
Busy julia equals more trips and more youtube videos! 😅
This is also true! 🤗
I travelled in flight like 7-8 times until now still that take off and little turbulence creeps me out I have no idea why 😄
Awesome I can feel your energy and excitement and that chicken salad looks tasty too👋😋
I had a very turbulent flight in the US from IAD to MCO.
Glad you got to head into 4th of July / Erick's bday weekend a day early! Excited for the month ahead! Safe travels!
Hi Julia enjoy your flights ✈️😊 hope u had a nice 4th of july
Great video, Julia. I just got back from visiting family for 2 weeks and i was in Dallas twice. I flew on a 737 airbus, my first time on one. Had a great time on my trip, but only thing that would of made it great was meeting you, but i guess you were busy.
One of the cutest and friendly FA!
Saw the “egg bites” from Costco in your fridge, those are the BEST.
Hello ma'am your all videos helps a lot.... So i just wanna say thank you so much for this effort☺️❤️
Julia, yesterday was Independence Day!❤️🇺🇸

That was great! I always enjoy your vids and appreciate your editing.
Thank you so much - I’ve been working a lot on my editing and trying new things! 🤗
