This has to be one of, if not THE most wasted castings in cinema history, you won't find another actor that has the same passion that Christopher Reeve had for the character, an actor that even looks and acts so much like the character, and that on top of that is a great actor, you won't find another actor who doesn't treat superman like just another job, you won't find another Henry Cavill, you won't find another SUPERMAN.

yah, and also I think the casting combination of cavil as supe, gal gadot as wonder women, jason moma as aquaman and ben aflect as batman is really better then perfection for justice league. Things like this are impossible to happen again
People used to say Henry was a bad casting choice until they learned how to enjoy hus work. The same will happen to the next Superman, except that the next one will actually have the essence of Superman.
I mean Brandon Routh was one that took superman seriously, he took it that serious that despite that hate that Superman Returns got he came back as kingdom come superman for the Arrowverse Crossover, I'd love for him to do it again, but Henry was such a brilliant superman

Because when the world is against you and you pretty much lose everything... You need to rise again... And fly... And never look back... That is the superman every portrayal should aspire to be or mimic... Because Cavill really, truly embodied the version of Superman who is our true hero

Henry Cavill is one of those actors who didn’t play Superman as role, he put his heart into it no matter what. Even when the direction wasn’t great, even when the script wasn’t that good, hell…even if the film was atrocious. He put on that cape and he went from an actor to the man of steel in seconds.
Many people can wear the cape, but Henry Cavill is one of the few that owned that cape.

Seeing Henry hand the cape over honestly hurts so much, but If you think about it, if the reboot goes well enough, DC could make a crossover-likemovie some time in the near future, because the same thing happened to Tobey when he was spider man.
