As a 20 year old that got out of a VERY abusive home at 17, I am so happy she defended herself. Most women are manipulated by abusers but I'm so glad she got out. I've seen and experienced many things first hand, it is terrifying. She will have crazy trauma but I hope she gets better and realizes she deserves a happy, love filled life with a partner.

I moved into an apartment that had been raided by SWAT. There was a huge square dent in the door where they busted in and in the entryway the dry wall was bowed inwards and the nails were pulled half way out from where they threw a flash bang. It was all repaired shortly after we moved in.
They said they had to bring in not only insulation companies but also plumbers and electricians, did the teargas or any of the bullets damage pipes or wires that had to be repaired?

I know several people in law enforcement. Domestic violence cases are the most dangerous because they are so unpredictable. I know several law enforcement officers that have been seriously hurt on domestic violence cases, not to mention the poor family members.
In these types of cases, who would be responsible for covering the cost of damages and cleanup? I would hope that after such a traumatic experience the wife wouldn’t also have to worry about covering the cost of tear gas cleanup after swat goes crazy. I imagine bullet holes would be easier to fix, but all the work put behind completely removing any remnants of tear gas must cost a fortune.
