I have a Citizen Automatic too - the NH8350-08E model with the calf leather strap. Got it 3 years ago and it only stopped when I wasn't using it for 1-2 weeks. I still wear it from time to time. A great watch, beautiful to look at and a good starting point if you want to get into automatic watches.
Love it! Need a "dark screen" version for sleep. When I'm laying in bed I often press one of my Rolex Submariners against my ear so I can hear this. After a few minutes I feel like I can hear every part of the movement. Just like in this video you start hearing a "ticking" then it changes to a more hollow sound like a tiny bell then back to the standard tic.
Can I just say, this is beautiful, its why my old Raketa 18-jewel is still my go-to despite it being a year older than my mother, like the chain link band and the backplate had a bit of corrosion on them that I've cleaned as best I could (one chain link endcap is half missing) and so long as I wind it up every other day it only loses two seconds a day. Its nice and still airtight, or at least enough so humidity doesn't fog up the watch crystal (the blue steel face is clean but minor damage to some gold hour markers indicates its been opened by a non-professional), and the crystal has a few scratches but otherwise is clear. Pretty good for something made in the Petrodvortsov factory in the USSR in 1962 :D
Who else put this into a time grapher? The watch seems to be gainint 22 seconds per day, beat error is nice 0.1 ms, and amplitude is healthy 280 degrees.
Ticking is wrong. I've seen the comments that you rectified it, but why not make an updated video. Would love it. Please make calibrated perfect speedmaster ticking.
How'd you go about micing this? I have a guitar piezo and after a lot of trial and error I found the sweet spot on my Alpha chrono. Sounds like a dream through the audio interface, but it's super quiet going into my PC. Amplifying it at all gives me a ton of white noise.
I connected a piezo disc directly to an op-amp with some 100x gain. Then directly to the computer soundcard. I also got some whitish noise, but not too much. I could also filter some of the noise afterwards.
So there's an incredibly easy fix with Audacity! I recorded ~10 seconds of nothing to get a profile of the noise generated by the mic. Then I fed that into a noise reducer and my final recording was super clear!
I just wanted to compare the noises my dad's watches produced Ended up feeling like I had just seconds lef to defuse a dozen bombs hidden in my house 10/10
Thanks for the suggestion ;) However, the majority of the regulation error comes for the cuts in the video. Time is lost or added everytime a cut is not exactly matched to the "beat".
This sound is the reason I purchased an automatic watch, cheap but reliable citizen
Which Model you bought and at what price ?
What model was it and was it in automatic

NH8350 08A, 80 euro, gains since purchase around 8 secs daily for some reason, looks expensive, awesome waffle dial, power reserve 48h
Just got a pre-owned Omega speedmaster professional my first Omega ever
It was a bit cheaper because the case had scratches and scuffs
doesn!t have to be perfect. i can feel it makes you happy and excited. and that is what counts.
Oh damn I finnaly found a mechanical watch ASMR
Very soothing sound. It helps me feel focused. Thanks for putting it up.

27:10 was my favorite part
XD
This is perfect as a meditation for sleep sound.
It could masking some tinnitus conditions.
This is ART!

Did the same, It does need some regulating!
Could be because this sound is amplified with some software, hence your grapher reading
@@silviustanca Hardly. The Level is amplified, but the rate is just 22sek too high per hour
Ive had trouble falling asleep almost all my life this.
Listing to this is the singular best improvement to my sleep
(x2 speed) my heart when the teacher asks who did the homerwork
SO TRUE LMAO
I fell asleep wile listening to this. So relaxing😌
Might have this as a background noise when I sleep. Beautiful sound.
This is perfection. Keep it up in whole length forever
I love it, thank you ! I can't afford an Omega, but at least, I have its sound...
sad cringe
oh this is just amazing .... why it isn't this loud when i get it closer to my ear ?
Ears cant hear as good as a microphone can
It also depends on what movement is in the watch
lovely record, thank you!
Crazy how heas actually synced the sounds and the video
so beautiful
I can also hear mine at night when i put my wrist against my head
I own a citizen, I do the same thing, good to know others are " weird " too
I do it with my seiko too :-D It helps me fall asleep
I started doing that recently with my pocket watch. It's a great way to wind down from a long day.
(No pun intended) ^_^
I constantly put my Orient "Perpetual" next to my ear
When I tried it on at the AD I noticed that it had a strong heartbeat.
Sooooooooo relaxing... :)
OMG I really love this sound.....
Thank you!!! I can sleep now
This put my daughter right to sleep.
beautiful sound.
I immediately remembered Dunkirk :)
Thank you!
It's running at about +11sec/day :)
Superb !!!! Hats Off
What mic did you use to record this. I love it!
21600 bph and about 10.9 S/D
Aaaaaaaaaah this is soooooooo good

Thanks for this!!!!!!!
what causes the pinging sound, along with the ticking?
It isn't that loud right?
This is awesome! Thanks :)
So you can actually hear the sweep? I thought you couldn't hear it on omegas

my favourite part was when the watch was ticking
My Speedy Reduced is nice and loud too 😁
Needs to be regulated, +24 seconds fast and the amplitude not low but may be slightly increased, no beat errors.
The video is cut, it’s not actually an hour straight of ticking
This gave my ANXIETYYY idk why
0.25 and i heard blacksmith making a sword
No relaxation, money back guarantee
Is this your own watch?
I really love this sound for some strange reason!
Yes it is. I has 6 beats/ticks per second, which is 21600 beats/hour. Some mechanical watches has less, and som has more.
@@Richard.Andersson and some has cheeseburger?
@@freddiemercurious some have bald eagles
I held a timegrapher up to my speaker and your gaining 21 seconds per day with a 1.2ms beat error.
I liked the part where the clock tiked
It's a watch
Muehehe 😂🤩😍🥲
My Seiko isn't loud enough

Hi-Beat :-D

Ducati of watches, sounds like dry clutch.😮
Not quite my tempo ✌️
my invicta also this sound
needs some tuning, running +12s a day
Nice sound
3 Hz, I guess
