    Excellent tutorial!!! I learned more in this video than I’ve learned paying for a physical therapist and personal trainer. I can tell that the instructor in this video has a lot of knowledge about human anatomy and movement.

    How does this channel only have 20k subs?!
    Its damn near criminal you guys don't get more recognition.
    You got yourself a new sub, and i thank you for all the useful information: I'm a cyclist and i used to not care about stretching at all. Then i started to get chronically sore and stiff around my hips and thighs, and after some weeks of stretching, that's almost all gone. It was very painful to stretch at first, but i feel so much better now. I can move my hips without pain now!

    When I was a little girl I did dance and could do the splits, except I never had square hips. Years and years later after quitting dance and I’m about as flexible as a piece of wood 😂 but I want to do the splits again for fun. But this time I’ll be doing it properly haha

    Yes! More weight on the back thigh and lifting my arms up did the trick for me. Strangely, the left hamstring being more flexible causes me more difficulty with squaring hips on this side.

    • @stretchitapp
      @stretchitapp  6 месяцев назад +1

      We're happy to hear that our tips made a difference for you! Keep up the great work 💪 It's common for flexibility to vary between sides, which can impact exercises like squaring the hips. Focusing on balanced stretching and incorporating exercises that target hip alignment will help. Please check out our Front Splits Challenge on the STRETCHIT app www.stretchitapp.com/app (Programs on the bottom menu -> Splits Programs). The program is focused on hamstring, hip flexor, and quadricep stretches to achieve or improve your splits. Additionally, check out the "Splits: Square Hips" class (Classes on the bottom menu -> STRETCHIT Fundamentals) to discover how to target your hip flexors effectively, ensure hip alignment, and conquer front split challenges. Hope this helps!

    • @stretchitapp
      @stretchitapp  3 месяца назад

      Also - your left hamstring being more flexible naturally tries to take the pressure off the right hip flexor. If you focus on the hip flexor for a while, your splits will become a breeze 🖤

      Thank you for your patiecne. If it's a 'natural' imbalance (not a result of prior injury), then it's absolutely normal. Just give your right side some extra attention. This means holding stretches during your training session a bit longer on your right side. Happy stretching! ❤

      @stretchitapp  2 года назад +1

      It's totally normal. That's how your body is trying to compensate imbalances. We recommend you keep your back leg parallel though (and your hips square). You may need to lift up a little to achieve the square hips alignment

    I have pain in my left SI joint when I come out of my left front split - does anyone know if this could be why

    • @stretchitapp
      @stretchitapp  Год назад

      Hi Hannah! Thank you for your question. If you are experiencing pain that's outside of just mild discomfort, it might be an indication of an injury and you might need to consult a doctor. Please be careful. Also, if you've struggled with ligament injuries in the past, we encourage you to see a PT who can clearly diagnose the problem and most likely assess your mechanics as well. Remember how important it is to stay safe and not push yourself through pain. Hope this helps! 🌺

    Hi, may i ask one question? I really hope that someone can help me because i have this problem and i find it really frustrating: when i lift my back calf to bring it against my butt at 2:20, why my hamstrings in my back leg cramps A LOT? And when i say it a lot, it means that i have to put my leg down immediately. What does that mean, do i have some imbalances? Whatever is my problem, how can i solve it?

    • @stretchitapp
      @stretchitapp  Год назад +3

      Hi! Thank you for your question. The reason why your hamstrings are cramping is probably that you are not fully extending the back hip. If that hip crease (that's facing the floor) starts to lift, meaning if your hips begin to pike while you pull your heel in, your hamstring will cramp, because you are not fully utilizing your hip extension to bring your heel in. To improve your psoas flexibility, work on that first, not pull your heel in as close to your butt at the moment. Incrementally pull it closer as you improve your back hip flexor flexibility. Hope that helps! Good luck with your training ❤

    • @dancingintime
      @dancingintime Год назад

      @@stretchitapp Thank you for answering me so fast, thank you 🥰.
      So, my priority would be the psoas (so also all hip flexors)? I'm already doing strengthening and active lunges so i think i'm starting well (i hope so 🤣).
      But you know what happened now? I saw your message and i thought that i should give it a try, i did it again and both my back legs this time didn't cramp...what the? I only sensed a sort of cramp in the middle but only when i lift them too high, but a thing completely different than 2 days ago, i'm confused 🤣. I'm still surprised because i have never done it right and this time it happened o.o.
